“no. i ..” scott cringed, “sorry didn’t mean it like that.” although she wasn’t so far off. he wasn’t into cheating, but he’d done it. but savannah needn’t know all that. “high five.”
“It sure sounded like you meant it a little like that,” she hummed. “I believe you, though. Cheaters... suck. Like, big time. But moving past that...” she happily gave him a high five. “Seems we’re organizing our own party, then!”

tabitha;
tabi grinned wickedly. “alright, it’s your funeral.” she ordered a round of shots and held one up to savannah. “down it, princess.”
“I’m down for that,” she laughed and happily took one of the shots that Tabi held up before downing it. “Oh God, that was something– but your turn. I’m not doing this on my own, babe.”

scott;
scott laughed. “who said anything about getting them out though?” scott raised an eyebrow, a sly smile on his face. he didn’t linger on it though. “sounds good to me. we’re quite the team, savannah austen. i look forward to more collaborations with you.”
“Oh, what, so you’re gonna break up relationships now, are you?” She raised en eyebrow. “Is that what you’re into? Cheating?” Her eyebrows narrowed ever so slightly, even though she was mostly teasing. “We definitely are a good team, though, Scott.”

“in my defence most people don’t just up and give a stranger a blowjob cause they said so.” he said chuckling. “but i guess i won’t be so quick to judge anymore.”
“Okay– two things. One, you’re not a stranger. I know your name, you know mine and I know you’re some kind of computer magician,” she smiled. “And two, you’re definitely not complaining.”

scott;
“well, mass text it is. i mean, we make sure we say it’s a single’s only party and well, if someone who isn’t single shows up, i know for sure that i am not going to be the one snitching on anybody.” he doubted that would happen. wintergreen was far too small for that. almost everyone knew everyone else, and in that case, they knew about their relationships too. “we’ll see what happens. i’ll let you know the kind of feedback i get? i’ll text you?”
“A mass text should work pretty well,” she agreed. “I mean, I’m pretty sure that mostly singles will turn up. There might be the odd one that isn’t, but I’ll get them out of there quick just so you don’t have to.” She’d be good at that stuff– shoving the non-single people right out the door. “Yes, you’ve gotta tell me the feedback. I expect to be kept up to date.”

hailey;
hailey pulled the other through the crowd once their hands were linked, snagging a bottle of tequila from the bar as they passed and disappearing up some stairs and down a hallway. she’d explored earlier and knew there were some rooms not easy to find back here. eventually the pair found themselves in a bedroom with a small balcony attached that viewed the mountain. “well, what do you think about my hiding spot?” asked the blonde, a playful smile on her face as she dropped savannah’s hand and turned to face her.
Savannah grinned and looked around the room. Honestly, she didn’t quite know how Hailey even knew this room was back here, but she was glad she did. Savannah hadn’t bothered leaving the room where the main party was– it was where all the fun was, or so she guessed. “Well, it’s very well decorated, I’m a big fan of those curtains,” she mused, smirking a little. “Honestly, though, you’ve done a good job at finding it. Consider me impressed.”

for a moment after they were done he just looked at her. he was still kind of shocked she’d followed through. “i stand by that motto, it’s a win-win for me.” he said with a smirk.
“And to think that you didn’t think I would follow through, Jake,” she chuckled at him. “I think that proves that you shouldn’t judge at first sight. Would I be right?”

tabitha;
“alright, what’s your poison?” she asked as they got to the bar. “and what are you doing the rest of the night?”
“I’m feeling adventurous,” she admitted. “You can pick my poison. And the rest of the night? I’m going with the flow. Seeing what happens and where that takes me.”

ellie;
ellie chewed her lip. “okay okay! fine, you win. i’m cool.” she held up her fingers and put air quotes around the word cool.
Grinning, Savannah nodded at Ellie. “Yes, yes– believe me, because I’m right. You’re cool, and not that sort of cool,” she did air quotes around the word cool. “But proper cool, okay? Good.”

daniel;
“oh you just wait and see savannah,” he grinned. “i’m really the best package deal out there.” he enjoyed this friendly banter, mainly because she was giving it back as quick and as easy as he gave it to her. “oh really? well then maybe you ought to tell them and i’ll give them a reference telling them what a great daughter they’ve raised.”

“Are you now? Well, I’m not sure if I can agree that you’re the best just yet, because I haven’t seen all that you’re offering, but I’m sure you’re up there,” she teased. “Unless you’re good at pretending to be some sort of scientist, then you might have to old off on that reference, considering they’re unaware I’m a waitress and not a scientist.”

hailey;
hailey’s eyes lit up with interest, she hadn’t expected to find such amazing company for the night, but she wasn’t complaining about it in the slightest. “of course, tradition is tradition, after all.” she replied, reaching down to gently grab savannah’s hand so she could lead the other to her room.
“Tradition is tradition, and it would be a real shame to have to break it,” she agreed, happily taking Hailey’s hand in her own. “Lead the way then, babe.”

hailey;
“well thank you, ma’am.” she replied easily, praise was a weird place for her, but savannah didn’t make her uncomfortable with it. maybe only her mom did. “i mean, i drag them off to my room for private fun.” she responded easily.
Savannah grinned at her. “Well, we should probably do that then. You know, to continue on with tradition, right?” Savannah hadn’t expected her night to go the way it seemed to be going, but she certainly wasn’t mad about it. Who could be mad about Hailey?

hailey;
“i hate being a diva, i really do, but i also live for the attention i get when i skate.” she admitted to the other, trying not to sound like a brat, and worried she had anyway. “oh? and what do you have in mind?”
“And so you should. You’re damn good at it,” Savannah shrugged. She’d seen Hailey skate before and she knew she was good. “Well what do you usually do when someone sorts your night for you, hmm? I think that’s pretty self-explanatory.”

hazel;
“Really? Hell, I wouldn’t want to think what your parents would’ve done with me as a child. Probably drop me off a fire station or some shit, honestly.” She shook her head and grinned at the thought, taking pleasure in her various antics that she’s gotten involved in, most of which were due to the industry she was in. “Oh, how could I ever forget the girls?” Winking, she burst into a giggle. “Exactly. It kind of feels like some shit out of a storybook or something like that, you?” Taking a sip from her drink, she added, “meanwhile, I have yet to lock down a proper fuck buddy here, which is the true tragedy of my life so far.”
“Dropped you off at a fire station? No, they would have got you to see their ways eventually. You definitely wouldn’t be the person you are right now, I can guarantee that. But, saying that, they did think they’d succeeded in that with me, and they clearly didn’t so...” she chuckled at the thought. “That’s very true. It’s definitely some kind of fairytale town, in a way. Just with more drama. I’m sure you’ll find someone at some point though, right? I mean– look at you. There’s gotta be plenty of people out there who would.”

sage;
Sage sighed, and although her shoulders sagged, Sage couldn’t help but feel some reassurance at Savannah’s touch. Enough comfort, at least, to pull a smile back on her face and readjust the trays on her arms. “Guess everyone is kinda done with holiday cheer? Or… maybe it’s just a bad day,” she sighed, trying to give the customers the benefit of the doubt. “Thanks,” Sage said, “for just letting me, I don’t know, rant.”
“I think it’s that time of year when the holiday cheer is wearing off and everyone is a little annoyed about getting back into normal life, so you can’t really blame them. I’m pretty sure both you and I are feeling a bit of that, too,” she shrugged. “You can rant at me any time you want, Sage.”

hailey;
“i mean, i do get that way when i’m skating.” she agreed with a laugh, she got to be a bit of a diva when she was performing, but she never said anything about it. no need to feed into the view her mother wanted of her. “oh? well i can’t imagine myself complaining about that at all.”
“I can see that. But I’m pretty sure you’d be able to use something like that to your advantage a little when skating, right?” She raised an eyebrow. “That’s good to hear, then. Maybe we should do something about it.”

daniel;
“hey now, let me know if you ever need a reference, i can be a stellar one,” he chuckled at her before shrugging. “what can i say–i’m easily either impressed or not, and given how friendly you are–you clearly made the right side of that spectrum.”
“Oh, so you give good references, too? You’re just the whole package deal, aren’t you? Ketchup on your mac and cheese, garlic bread on the side and references,” she joked. “You can thank my parents for that friendliness. If they heard what you’d just said, I think they might cry happy tears, and that would be a first for them about me.”
