what engagement rings i think they’d give you! ʚɞ (gn!reader)
characters : scaramouche, alhaitham, diluc, cyno, & tighnari
✎ i had so much fun making these, feel free to leave character suggestions you’d like to see in part two!!
Tumblr media
scaramouche <3
Tumblr media
if somebody had told scaramouche many years ago that he’d eventually be tirelessly searching for the perfect ring for the love of his life, he would have cackled. the balladeer, 6th of the fatui harbingers, and the shogun’s reject puppet, settling down? yet here he was, uncharacteristically fiddling with the finished product in his hand. scaramouche certainly spared no expenses, having his subordinates search high and low for the finest piece of amethyst taken straight from the cliffs of yashiori island. however, even that would still be too ordinary for his tastes, so he specially infused the gem with some of his own electro energy, feeling it pulse around is something he knew you’d appreciate, a perfect reminder of him. he would never admit it, but this ring was just as important to him as it would be to you. after all, it would symbolize your bond to him for eternity, an eternity that didn’t feel so hollow with you in it. <3
al-haitham <3
Tumblr media
being married to al-haitham would be no common affair, so of course you wouldn’t have a common looking wedding ring. that just wouldn’t do. much to al-haitham’s annoyance, when kaveh caught wind of his plans to propose to you, he began offering his own two-cents. al-haitham did absolutely not need a single one of his outlandish ideas, but when kaveh not-so-subtly mentioned that he’s had quite a few conversations with you over what your dream ring would look like as your long-time friend, al-haitham put aside his annoyance for his roommate for you (thank god you guys would eventually move into your shared home fit for a newly-wed couple, he couldn’t wait to say goodbye to living with that nuisance and hello to a life of love with you). two precious turquoise stones intertwined, symbolizing the two of you, he told you. who knew the uptight, highly-regarded grand scribe could be so endearing?
diluc <3
Tumblr media
diluc knew that as soon as people started seeing you with the engagement ring that had been passed down in the ragnvindr clan for decades, things would be chaos. however, he was brought to peace everytime he saw you, and the familiar heirloom on your finger. once belonging to his late mother, his father had told a young diluc to give it to the person he planned to spend a lifetime with, the person that lit his heart aflame. diluc had not a single doubt in his heart, that person was you. he felt complete, dawn looked a little brighter with you by his side. the ring was quite simple in design, yet timeless and classy. the ruby so reminiscent of your husband clearly let the flirting drunks of mondstadt know who you woke up next to in the morning and came home to every evening, the distinguished master diluc <3
cyno <3
Tumblr media
before you, cyno lived and breathed for the akademiya, for enacting the will of the mahamatra, and while doing those things, sticking steadfast to himself and his values. cyno would rather not reminisce on this period of time. not that it was in any way unsatisfactory, but compared to how much color and brilliance your existence alone has brought into his life, why would he ever want to go back to anything else? his lone-wolf reputation meant nothing to him if you weren’t there to walk by his side, and that’s exactly what led him to get down on one knee under the prettiest starry sky on a cliff in the hypostyle desert. when your friends ask to see the ring, it unmistakably has cyno written all over it, designed to match his own belt embellishment. these days, if the judicator of secrets is mentioned in trivial gossip on the streets of sumeru, your name is never far to follow, something that never fails to make cyno giddy. not having to go another lonely night is something that cyno never knew he would grow to look forward to, and he owes it all to you <3 .
tighnari <3
Tumblr media
tighnari was perfectly content with his simple yet fulfilling life in the avidya forest. taking care of the flora and fauna around him, as well as taking care of his fellow forest rangers (although most would agree that lecturing would be the better word) gave him a sense of purpose and belonging. things really took a turn when you fell—literally— right into his heart. you definitely should have taken the word of the kind forest ranger that assisted you upon your arrival. “be sure to watch your step!”, a girl with green hair had told you, but you swore that tree branch wasn’t there before! face-planting into the chest of a man who blended right in with the lush rainforest, a man known as tighnari, someone you’d end up spending forever with, cocks an eyebrow at you, and the rest is history. the rangers know you as the one person tighnari could never actually lecture no matter how many times you ate a mushroom that made you sick for weeks, or touched a plant that made you break out in a rash. if it were anyone else though… let’s just say he wouldn’t find it as endearing. the rings you two share bring you a great deal of joy, the tree branch design wrapped around your finger never fails to send you back in time to the day you and tighnari met. <3
all done! i struggled with tighnari’s characterization SO BAD LOL i hope it isnt too noticeable. again, if there are any characters you have in mind, im open to suggestions! hope this was an enjoyable read <3

Trivia - Gnosticism
Note : this post is only for Genshin Impact purposes
I can't believe I read about this philosophy while diving in the fandom wikipedia
So, Genshin Impact lore actually relate to Gnosticism in a certain degree, in fact there are term in-game that exist in Gnosticism.
Source of study : Gnosticism
This philosophy is actually... veeeeeery wide branched and many people still undergo in study about this, but I'm gonna conclude the points in simple for Genshin Impact lore.
So, Gnosticism is basically just a cool term for religion/beliefs.
But Gnosticism is the general theory of all possible religions.
The point in Gnosticism is that this is a belief to a certain god. The god that can be anything, omnipotent or whatever religion might follow.
In Gnosticism there are few stages of power, something like a hierarchy.
At the very top of the hierarchy is "Monad", which means the God who owns, creates, provide light for everything.
the next one is "Pleroma", which means a region totality from the God's power (kinda like universe pocket). The heavenly pleroma is the center of divine life, occupied by spiritual beings such as aeons (eternal beings) and sometimes archons.
next one is "Emanation", which means as descend/gradation from the heaven such as worlds, or hypostases. In time it will find a way to return to Monad.
next is "Aeon", now this gets interesting because in this stage, people describe that there is various interactions with the Monad occur which result in the soul of successive pairs of aeons, often in male–female pairings called syzygies
next is "Sophia", which is a part from that syzygies, Sophia without her partner is a form of wisdom (world soul). She took a part of pleroma elements and create Demiurge as materiality from it.
next is "Demiurge", is something like ignorant world god. The demiurge creates the physical universe and the physical aspect of humanity. This creature is concealed outside the pleroma in isolation, and thinking itself alone, it creates materiality and a host of co-actors, referred to as archons.
next is "Archon", Archon here refers to servants of Demiurge. It could be the head of nations that lead lots of people, but in belief to that Demiurge.
Then I also read the other series of Gnosticism, called Ophites, there are total of seven Archons existed. (i'm not going to explain too much)
In that book also mentioned how Sophia is as powerful like Aeon, but she dwells in water surface (metaphor for abyss/darkness). Sophia is oppressed by the grossness of the water, she strove to ascend to heaven but the body weighed her down in water, but by her strong desire, she's able to ascend to a region just above the abyss which is the middle region (Demiurge).
=========================
It is kinda interesting but this may be a hint to what is going on in Genshin Impact. (I think;)
So both of Lumine and Aether are "Aeons". Made of stars in the universe above Teyvat. They are the pair of syzygies twin.
But the next part is that Lumine got separated from Aether.
Lumine... as the first heir, lost her noble origin and become the queen of darkness/abyss (according to BattlePass story)
Lumine still wanted to ascend to divinity trying to return to their home but she's stuck in Teyvat and got separated from her twin sibling. She's quite desperate and built Abyss Order as part of her ambition to return home.
Unknown God who blocked the twins is probably the "Demiurge" (ignorant world god), that is a part of Celestia and even got Archons below her.
Now about the "Sophia", it is most likely to be Lumine. But she's more like something that affected the world of Teyvat. She affected Teyvat because she caused "Demiurge" (Unknown God, Celestia, etc.) to change. Even more because Unknown God separated Lumine from Aether, which made Lumine become somewhat antagonist to Teyvat.
It is interesting because Lumine's ambition is actually motivated because of what Unknown God did to her and Teyvat.
Since Lumine and Aether are not from Teyvat, and they're "Aeons" that is technically higher than anything in this world including Unknown God. Their impact is very big, and definitely can change Teyvat situation.
Aether had a different ambition than Lumine because they got separated... his ambition is pretty much like Lumine but in somewhat different way. To return home, but in the right way.
Traveler (Aether) journey is not only to save his sister but also to save Teyvat from Lumine's wrong effect in this world.
In the end, Traveler (Aether) is the only one that can save Lumine and Teyvat situation. So that everything can return to in the right way, as well Lumine who had lost her noble origin.
a/n : i have existential crisis after reading Gnosticism but it's actually interesting tho. Anyways, this is original from my head but you're very welcomed by my ask box if you would like to share something with me. ty for reading ^^

VIII - Visions pt.2
Warning : This analysis may be a major spoiler to Genshin Impact lore.
= Part 1 (About Vision in general) =
Previously in the first part, we know that a Vision is like this and that for humans, but now lets look at overall perspective about Vision.
When someone received a 'Vision' they can manipulate elemental power and elemental sight. If we look closely... there is a previous pattern to this in Teyvat history.
Archons also received a 'Vision' but it is called a Gnosis to them. Archons had a war to obtain divinity seat, and there are only 7 of them that got selected. In other words, Archons are the same as people who have Vision because to obtain a divine reward, one must have a strong ambition.
The gods ambitions were various and strong just like people in general, but only those who suit in the eyes of divinity receive an acknowledgment. A Gnosis was given to the Archons as a reward for the gods that have the right ambition.
By that pattern, there's somekind of power dynamic like.... a pyramid.
Tumblr media
Something like this. The explanation to that pyramid is,
The higher you are in the tier, the more power you have. The higher you are in the tier, the less of your population exist. The higher you are in the tier, the more dependency you need towards the lower tier. The pyramid is not a bad thing because an ecosystem is always stable and sustainable this way. It is the law of nature to survive for the fittest. The world of Teyvat was made for their own nature selection, and that is about using elemental power, and this might be the part of Teyvat's "law".
Back about Teyvat history, before present time Teyvat was in unorderly chaos, and this state is devastating for everyone. The problem goes in cycle and it never ends, well until Celestia finally hold control and gave new rules/ideality.
That new rule is the base to how 'Vision' is distributed. Whoever ambitions that fit in Celestia favor, will be given a 'Vision' as a reward.
But the word 'Vision' literally means one will have vision about divinity. Being acknowledged by Celestia means you are getting closer to understand more truth of divinity and nature of Teyvat. Celestia approved you to see that truth.
One worked hard for their passion/ambition, but not everyone suit to be given power or to see the truth of divinity.
When someone is rewarded with a 'Vision', they are rewarded with power.
When they gained power...
They entered the tier of that pyramid... and by entering the pyramid...
They will step into the league of 'survival for the fittest' against Teyvat nature.
A 'Vision' is not exactly a reward but rather a ticket to enter that pyramid league. It is a blessing and a curse at the same time because they will have more power, but they will also hold greater responsibilities.
There is a price to pay for power, and the price paid for that 'Vision' power... is ambition. There are many losses instead of happiness in pursuit of ambition, and gods knew that. The old world of Teyvat was harsh because to pursuit ambition, one must fight fiercely with power.
Having ambition is truly a terrifying thing in history of Teyvat. All the war and conflicts in Teyvat rooted because of ambitions from different individuals. In the past.. those ambitions were never for something good. Those ambitions are destructive, and because of this, the cycle of war never ends
Since the beginning. The war is repeated over and over again because of destructive ambitions. Since the time of three moon sisters, until Khaenri'ah.
Ambitions... what is the meaning of ambition? it means a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. Achievement.... what is the right achievement? the answer is a secret beyond divinity. How do we know what's beyond divinity? by seeing it yourself with 'vision' given by divinity
a 'Vision' might not have any meaning but literally just a vision for one to see what is right to do, and understand what is right to achieve. There is no exact answer. There is no definite task. Because everyone has their different view, and Celestia gave the vision as a hint to answer on their own.
But those who don't have a vision thought there is no divine answer, and a lot of... individuals grew impatient... and even grew destructive ambitions...
Those who have destructive ambitions won't give up easily... and this caused a war.... because however harsh the world treats them, ambition is still an ambition and they still want to achieve their achievement, and a lot of them who have these ambitions tend to be stubborn thinking that they're the right ones.
The past wars were truly brutal because the scale was large in power and destructive ambitions.
Again Celestia might or might not be too late to save Teyvat situation.
The Archons have their vision by Celestia and fought in the war with strong ambition to bring divine answers in Teyvat. Later after the war, the Archons hardwork for their ambition is rewarded more with divine power to lead others and a nation.
Those who are enlightened by the Archons can choose to deny or join them. Those who deny the Archons will be eliminated because they don't fit in Teyvat's law. But those who join the Archons side will get divine answer through them.
Celestia tried to give answer gradually through vision and time.
"They who receive Vision earned a divine spot in the heaven." Maybe it's not truly like that. There's probably no spot at all, nothing. Could probably just be metaphor/motivation so that Teyvat find their own conclusion.
But there is a highlight for mortal/humanity in the whole history of Teyvat. In previous post about humanity, it was mentioned how humans have thoroughly affected Teyvat and Celestia really shows strong attention towards humanity since the beginning.
Celestia saw how there is a difference in the mind of humanity, how mortals ambitioned differently... from everything else. Each individual of human are so different in mind from each other, yet they could live together stand through the harsh condition of Teyvat. In fact humans are able to unite their difference and build a nation with one ambition.
Ambitions used to be something so terrifying that create many loss and sorrow, but what if humanity could change that fact?
Visions worked differently on humans, because humans are different than other entities. Why the vision bound strongly to humans... that's also because of ambition... the other edge of ambition that may cause loss and sorrow.... Celestia don't want that to happen to humans, so some people may lose their memories/sanity along with their strong ambition when they lose a vision...
Human ambitions are no different than gods ambitions, but there is something else in human ambition that made us different than gods, and that is human nature. In simple, humans deserve visions too, but it needs some time and process. Not everything can come in instant, and past wars were the process to give humanity a spot.
Humans who obtained a 'Vision' are called Allogenes (as said by Venti), and Allogenes in Japanese is げんしん (Genshin). Now we get somewhere don't we.
In Gnosticism, Allogenes is a half-human, half-divine figure who, in some stories, becomes fully divine.
Genshin Impact lore is LITERALLY because of "Genshin" impacting Teyvat.
Because the history of Teyvat is a process of change to give humanity deserved spot in Teyvat, who in fact someday may replace ruling over Teyvat instead of Celestia. But before that, humans need to get some divine enlightenment through Visions so they don't destroy Teyvat.
The pyramid up there is about power structure but that doesn't mean the variable can't change. The peak can fall, the bottom can rise, because that's "survival for the fittest" and apparently humans are destined to rise in this league.

VIII - Visions
this is an analysis that may contain spoilers
"When a person's ambition reaches a certain strength, the gods look upon them with favor. In other words, a person's Vision represents their ambition." - Thoma
Tumblr media
Vision has been a major part in Teyvat where it is said that people who have these are looked upon by the gods and rewarded for their ambition.
After Inazuma chapter, a Vision seems to be highlighted in the story because Raiden Shogun wanted to seize all the Visions but people resist greatly from this decree. This indicates that a Vision may have a bigger role than just reward of ambition.
A Vision gave the bearer an ability to use certain elemental power, and elemental sight thus making them a bit special and can be said 'favored' by the gods.
So far in the story, we only know few accurate facts about Vision ;
A Vision is visible as an item that looks like a badge, and cannot contain more than one element
Visions are only available in the 7 elemental power known to Teyvat
Visions are not given by corresponding elemental Archon
To gain a Vision, someone must have a passion for something
A person may lose their memories if they lose their Vision
There are a lot of questionable things about Vision, but we can make a bit conclusion from those known facts, and history of Teyvat.
The first time a Vision badge appeared was supposed to be after the Archon system exist because that is the definite point where 7 elements become official major powers in Teyvat. There may be things that were considered a 'Vision' before Archon system, but we don't know that far yet. The Vision badge thing is possibly the latest root and supposed to be the most stable use for everyone.
It is still unclear who is in charge of distributing Visions, but they are most likely to be someone from Celestia (divinity) but not the Archons.
Humans of Teyvat sees Vision as somekind of reward to those who have passion for something. A passion that's so strong they are rewarded with a divine vision. So people compete for various ambitions and dreams, but not everyone can get a Vision.
The word reward means various to people in Teyvat. Some say it is a reward to enter the divinity, some say it's a reward of power for humans.
But a 'Vision' meaning/shape might be more various than just the badge we see- a/n : for somehow spoiler reason, I don't think it is appropriate for me to explain that line further here. If you want to know, I made it into other post (link at the end of this post)
Getting one Vision is hard and very much unknown of how it is attained in the first place. Most people in Teyvat only understand that a Vision represents someone's ambition.
But when talking about ambition, anyone can have any ambition, or any passion, there is just no limit to that, but ironically, no one know what is the right way/ambition to obtain a Vision. It is still a big question to everyone in Teyvat.
A Vision somehow does not relate to any of the 7 idealities by Celestia thus making it harder to guess.
However, there is one quite accurate thing about what kind of ambition made a person receive a Vision. People who got Visions have a very strong hold of their ambition, and that ambition is NEVER about harmful deeds to Teyvat.
How people receive a Vision are various, but currently we know 2 ways, and that is ; getting it right infront of you or activating masterless Vision.
Now there is another subtle possibility about Vision.
The production/number of Vision given in Teyvat... might be limited. To relate this into the game lore, it is said that Electro vision has not been distributed anymore to people since 2 years ago and this is not because of Raiden Shogun (Visions are not given by Archons) . But notice that Kazuha can obtain the power of Electro from his deceased friend's Vision. People may not get a brand new Vision, but they can activate pre-existing Vision like Kazuha and carry the deceased owner's ambition. Visions may not be freshly produced forever, but the existing Visions can be passed on when the owner dies.
Now let's talk about the element in a Vision.
The element given to people is not that random tho, there is still a relation to their ambition/personality. These elements are NOT given based on the 7 Archon idealities, or what the person wanted, but rather as something to support that person's ambition and personality. People's ambition and personality are very unique and diverse from one and another. But if we notice it closely, some ambition may need the help of certain element, and some personality may be described in certain element characteristics. This relation proofs that a Vision is indeed a reward for their ambition and unique mental.
Take an example, Sucrose having Anemo Vision, because her personality is curious and wants to be free just like the wind. Ningguang having Geo Vision, because her ambition is to build stable fortune but her personality is humble down to earth. Beidou having Electro Vision, because she charges the sea and her personality is bold and brave just like the thunder Baizhu having Dendro Vision, because he wants to create as many useful herbal medicine, his job needs him to master using plants/natural things. (I actually don't know too but I just assume that for Dendro example) Childe having Hydro Vision, because he's a reliable warrior that can use any weapon, just like water that can take any shape. Xinyan having Pyro Vision, because she manifests her music as very lit and energizing just like fire. Eula having Cryo Vision, because she wanted to break her descendant stigma, breaking that image just like shattering ice.
Even so, that example might not be true at all, because we don't know how this distribution work. We may not able to explain a person element manifestation because everyone is unique and got different ambitions. You have to know the person thoroughly to understand how they got a certain element Vision. But in conclusion, a Vision element is manifesting the owner's ambition or personality, it's one way or another, and that's why having a strong ambition and personality is important to manifest/activate a Vision.
Since a Vision is a manifestation of strong ambition, and the person is acknowledged by Celestia, so.. subtly there is a binding by Celestia through a Vision. To make it understandable, a Vision is almost like a medal of honor and power. It is a reward but at the same time, a person will have a great responsibility to keep cultivating their ambition so that they're worthy of that Vision.
But the problem about ambition/passion is that they're one's deepest desire in life so that ambition is something that binds to a person's heart and mind. When that ambition is manifested into a Vision... that means a Vision technically also becomes their heart and mind.
Imagine getting a car. This car is a reward for your hardwork, but also a way for you to use it so you can be a better worker or family. The car becomes a part of your belonging, and you don't notice how the car has affected your life in a better way, and well.. you won't notice it until you lose the car.
Same like Vision It is completely one's belonging but it binds to their ambition. However, a Vision is more than just one's belonging because this is also a part of the divinity.
Imagine that car again, but this time the car is a reward from your boss because of your hardwork. So the car is the company support that you gotta keep well. You are responsible to owning this car and will receive a penalty if the car is lost/damaged.
Tumblr media
a Vision work as well like this.
Having a Vision is a win-win contract for the person and Celestia.
The person can own the Vision and use its power completely under their control but as a return, Celestia has a favor so the person keep cultivating their ambition in the right way/in divine enlightenment. we don't want a case like Khaenri'ah again ofc
But again, a contract is still a contract. If one does not wish to involve in it, then the consequence is also non-existent.
However if one get involved deep into the contract and breaks it... they will suffer the wrath of rock. (literally)
When a person starts to depend on a Vision, it binds the person's heart and mind. The stronger their ambition grew by Vision, the more it becomes a part of their heart and mind. That's why a Vision may make the owner lose their sanity/memories when losing it.
Because depending on a Vision means that person is into the contract and responsible for it with their life.
There is also other meaning to why a Vision works this way tho. It gets interesting to talk about what is the relation of all these ambition, vision, Celestia thingy. Now we may move to next part~
= Part 2 (deeper analysis) =
= Masterlist=
a/n : this post is completely to point out Vision in general. I made the other post because it is still as important to Genhsin Impact in general but it may contain a spoiler so... anyways, this is original from my head but you're very welcomed by my ask box if you would like to share something with me. ty for reading ^^

VII - Humanity
This is an analysis that may contain spoilers
"Some say a few are chosen, and the rest are dregs, but I say we human have our humanity."
-Dainsleif
Tumblr media
Humans in Teyvat already exist for a very long time and there are soooo much problems rooted because there was human somewhere in it. In fact, the history of how current Teyvat exist is because of human existence. But how humans exist in Teyvat... idk. Humans in this game are like us in real life, they have the same body and mind like us- except they're living in this crazy magical world. Many things in Teyvat cannot be related to real life, but humans here are just like us, and we can understand most of human things here.
Since Teyvat is a world with magic, etc. they're going to face some unique problems yk. That leads us to the very first problem, which is humans are weak in power against magical entities, or hostile environment, and are not immortal.
But everything has weakness and strength, so.. humans do have strength and that is located in their human nature which is the ability to socialize, think, and unite. Such ability allows us to either be good or bad, and this is the very reason why problems in Teyvat exist in the first place.
The 7 idealities we know in the game ; freedom, contract, eternity, wisdom, justice, war, and love for the right thing are idealities for what humanity and everyone should be like.
But since humans in Teyvat already exist long before Celestia establish the 7 idealities, the history of human in Teyvat... is a little dark. As we all know, before the Archon system exist Teyvat was hostile as Gods fought for regions, demons fought the gods, etc. Ancient humanity lived in a terrible state of Teyvat, because they're weak in power against all of these. This weakness made humans seek any means of defense to live. Many humans seek protection from any god/illuminated beasts that could protect them, even plead the heaven for peace upon the world. But... there were also humans that choose to strive by mankind power... and that is Khaenri'ah.
The start of humanity in Khaenri'ah was wrong because they never had any god to begin with, and it got worse as the world was hostile for them. Given a start like Khaenri'ah made humanity choose to lean on the bad side where they misused their wisdom to greed for power as defense against the hostile world.
Let's see from Celestia's perspective about humans. I'm pretty sure they understand the state of humanity was chaos and pitiful at the same time (because they can see everything up there and maybe even knew the whole history of humans). Since not every human was living like Khaenri'ah, others who lived outside of their region only wished to survive but the world was too hostile for them to live mundanely. Celestia wanted to fix the state of humanity in Teyvat, where they gave divine help by Archons, illuminated beasts, etc. that were on to serve Celestia for humans on Teyvat.
Why Celestia even bother to help humans, the weakest creature in Teyvat? Well... let's see another fundamental fact about humans..
In Zhongli 2nd story quest hinted a lot of things about Teyvat and time. The subtle point of this story is 'everything can erode as time passes by, but there are those who can continue one's existence no matter how long time passes by'. This means there are those who can survive eroding by time, and one of them is humanity. Heck not even the immortals can survive eroding by time.
Many things, many changes, many loss happened in Teyvat, all because time never stop and it cannot be reversed. A lot of things had been faded over time but some remnants of that history still exist in Teyvat. We can learn the past from these remnants just like a book. Notice how time has progressed so long in Teyvat, but humans still exist, and our nature never changes.
Celestia did the right thing to help humanity by creating idealities and archons that cultivated humanity to be ideal for Teyvat. But the time stamp where Celestia finally decided to do major help, may or may not be too late because humans already exist longer than 2000 years ago in Teyvat... and humans already cultivated so differently over time.
It is undeniable that Celestia action is a huge help for humanity, but the impact of their action gave not only reactions from humanity but also overall individuals in Teyvat because Celestia is the highest role in hierarchy of Teyvat governing. (at least that's what we know for now)
For every action comes a lot of consequences. I'm talking about those who didn't agree with Celestia. Be it gods, demons, beasts, or even humans that think Celestia was wrong to do this or in fact thought that Celestia and its minions shouldn't be ruling Teyvat.
In the end not even Celestia was perfect to rule Teyvat, but then who should be ruling in Teyvat? probably no one at all. Why should there be anyone ruling when everything and everyone is imperfect but could live in peace by the 7 idealities?
Celestia defending for humanity is both win and loss. The win comes from the fact humanity will live the longest in Teyvat and they carry Celestia's ideality forevermore. The loss comes from the fact Celestia definitely dug its own grave because this action will bring the fall of Celestia's reign.
The ones that may survive from present and face the most far future are going to be humans, and all things on Teyvat that's been cultivated from the past, including travelers. Lets be real, there are a lot of unknown problems that may come in the future but problems exist because of actions from the past, and how we act in the present time.
Every action will be a past and it will be something everyone can learn for better future actions (that is hopefully a good action). This is why Celestia took the first step to fix everything that was wrong in the beginning, so that humans and everything would do the right things, so the future will be better for everyone.
Tumblr media
Let the past be a lesson. Let the present be a chance. Let the future be a hope. - God of Time probably (lmao i'm jk that's my quote)
Humanity is what made humans stronger than anything in the world.
Humans could bring so much beautiful things and peace in the world if everyone understands what is good or what is bad.
Our journey as travelers is to learn and understand this matter out of many things in Teyvat.

So... while reading histories, I found out a little interesting thing. It is about Ningguang's gold nail thing.
Tumblr media
yk that nail thing on her little and ring finger. There is a history to that and it actually relate a lot.
Tumblr media
I found this out while reading about Empress Dowager Cixi of China.
Let's just say she's very influential for China empire back in late 19th century. But I do notice that nail thing on her, so I searched what it means.
Apparently this thing exist for elite (high-class) ladies in late Qing Dynasty, Manchurian court. The nail of their little and ring finger were usually grown long and being protected by nail guards that is usually made of metal, shell or even jade. It may also be embedded with pearls or precious stones. The length can be anywhere from 3cm to 15cm depending on how long the wearer wishes it to be.
This nail thing is a symbol of status and power for the ladies, because it shows how much of their ability to rely on servants showing that they don't perform manual tasks. It can be on one hand or both, but the more they have it shows the more power they have.
I didn't mean to say that Ningguang really be like this, but I say this shows how much power she had as the Qixing, because she's the Tianquan (the center) in it. Her purpose is similiar like Empress, but not in a way being solid ruler over Liyue or having the highest status in hierarchy, more like someone who deals a lot with regulations in Liyue, the Qixing united matters, etc. and all of this mean she probably doesn't have time for manual tasks.
I like this little detail put into her character design, it's a smart consideration I just wow-

Trivia - Seelies
this is an analysis that may contain spoilers
Tumblr media
While reading things about Genshin Impact, I found out Seelie actually has lore too... it may not be that important but their story is interesting to know and actually relate to how Teyvat become what it is right now.
Seelies in Genshin Impact look like transparent spirits with a light core, and their shape/color varied on where they're found. But most often they shape like oceanoid (picture above). Their function is guiding traveler to their statue, and then they give us treasures
Seelie is actually based on actual folklore and it is called 'will-o-wisps', they're described as ghostly light that guide travelers into hope that seems false/impossible but whoever that follows them will find unexpected fates.
But the actual lore in game about seelies is quite interesting because they're said to be remnants of a fallen ancient race.
The ancient Seelie race was once a dominant race of Teyvat, they have great wisdom and beautiful shapes (humanoid, etc.). Seelie was not a god or anything that can give physical impact, their form is spectral just like how we see them right now but they were bigger and various back then. They also live in other realm other than Teyvat, which is the realm that we know as Dark Sea. They used to bless and guide humanity with their wisdom, so human ancestors in Teyvat did live with good wisdom by the guide of Seelie race.
Tumblr media
However Seelies era in Teyvat ended because the fail of 3 moon sisters changing cycle. This failure caused a catastrophe over Teyvat (the first known cataclysm), and this was devastating for seelies.
There is a story saying that there was a traveler who fell in love with one of the Seelies back then. They asked Celestia for blessings, but 30 days later the catastrophe happened. They tried to leave Teyvat via Celestia but they couldn't run from it anyways and got cursed with eternal separation and memory loss. Hmm I don't really know whats going on, but I think this traveler is the reason why the moon change cycle failed which leads to the catastrophe itself. (my wild guess about who this traveler might be... I think it is Dainsleif).
Seelies become very upset when they see the catastrophe, and their grief withered them to disappear, or into the tiny shape that we see in present time. Altho not all seelie withered, but seelies choose not to stay in Teyvat as dominant race anymore.
The impact of that catastrophe didn't stop only for Seelies, but also to others in Teyvat including humanity. It is mentioned that humans used to be guided by Seelies with wisdom and when Seelies withered, humans... lost their wisdom guide. It is not... that bad for humans;; (its very bad actually) because humans got the remain of wisdom from Seelies and began to thrive into the first civilizations without seelies guide anymore.
But... lets see the other impact other than humans,
you see.. uh.
There are other races too, and they rised too after Seelies withered.
Teyvat became hostile after the catastrophe and fall of Seelies, this world became a world filled with raw elements, monsters, gods, demons, etc. and you guessed it, all of these races wanted to dominate Teyvat since Seelies were no longer dominating. This hostility lasted for long and it greatly suffer weak races, such as humans.
Humans are weak in power, but they have been blessed by Seelies wisdom, and wisdom is a great tool to survive in such hostile world. However... humanity without the guide of Seelies... used wisdom not only to survive but also to fulfill their greed. This is the root of how Khaenri'ah was born. The godless nation blessed with wisdom where arrogant humans misused their wisdom.
But it can't be helped tho because the hostile environment drive humans to be like that.
Seelie race still exists but they live outside of Teyvat, they still dwell in the Dark Sea. And as for the remaining tiny seelies in Teyvat, they're just lingering like will-o-wisps waiting for someone to bring them back to their Seelie court, to settle down and try to relish their long lost memories in that court. Oh they also give you treasures for bringing them back to their courts probably as gratitude for bringing them back yk :)
I also think that only traveler can see these seelies because they somehow still linger in present time, that means no one has ever bothered to bring them to their court back or because they probably can't see these, but some Seelies don't have court too so they linger just like that guiding choosen people to find treasures. Traveler is always the star and the choosen one, so ofc Seelies know it ;)

VI - Teyvat and The Seven Archons
This is an analysis that may contain spoilers
"Teyvat is a world blessed by the 7 Elemental Archons. Though the calamity the world suffered has ceased, and the lands have slowly healed, peace has yet to be restored." - Genshin Impact Official Website, about Teyvat
Tumblr media
Genshin Impact main storyline happens in Teyvat, the world where our traveler stuck into. This world got its own "law" and our traveler is not a being from Teyvat that doesn't know about everything yet, that's why we're playing this game to uncover that. But! so far in the game we know certain things here and that is-
Teyvat is a world of 7 nations where each of those nations has their own ideality based on the god they believe in. This world also offers 7 elemental power that includes Anemo, Geo, Electro, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro and Cryo.
Every known nation has an Archon, so there are total seven of them.
The word Archon refers to gods who fit in Celestia's ideality to lead each element and nation. Ever since the Archon war ended, Teyvat is ruled by these seven Archons and Teyvat is pretty much peaceful after Archon system exist. (I made the previous posts about what Teyvat is like before Archon system check out in masterlist).
Celestia also grant each of the Archon a gnosis with matching element power. The gnosis works like a special badge for these archons, giving them strong power boost straight from Celestia and to show that they are an Archon.
The seven nations and their god are :
Mondstadt, led by God of Freedom/Anemo (Barbatos/Venti)
Liyue, led by God of Contracts/Geo (Morax/Zhongli)
Inazuma, led by God of Eternity/Electro (Beelzebul/Raiden Shogun)
Sumeru, led by God of Wisdom/Dendro (Kusanali?)
Fontaine, led by God of Justice/Hydro (?)
Natlan, led by God of War/Pyro (?)
Snezhnaya, led by God of ... /Cryo (Tsaritsa)
All of these are things that we know canon in game. The next thing I want to say is something vague but quite true about Teyvat and the Archon system.
The history of Teyvat extends up to thousand years, and we still haven't figured out everything just yet. But we do know that the past of Teyvat is quite dark. Before Archon system exist, this world was a chaotic place. There were many hostile creatures, environment, minor gods, etc. It was life of constant battles, and humans were always in the worst place back then.
But at some point Celestia finally settle down with ideality that centered for humanity, and that is the 7 elements and beliefs. With that order, chaos in this world finally come to end where gods that fit that divine ideals shape and bring Teyvat to better fate with the power of divine granted for them in a gnosis. Altho it is still unknown when and why Celestia settle down with this ideal, but it totally bring sustainable order for Teyvat so it is no longer as hostile as before.
Archons were the hand from Celestia to help humans in Teyvat. Gods who fit in divine idealities became Archons of region that they defended. Humans were very grateful for this blessing from Celestia, because they finally can live in peace and prosper, so as gratitude for this blessing, humans cultivated strong beliefs for the ideality that their Archon gave and it last for many generations up until now. As time healed the land of Teyvat, humans finally able to stand, and grow with the help of the god that is their region Archon.
Another note, an Archon power (gnosis) is cultivated if they are performing their Archon duties. So if they don't perform any duties/ go into slumber, their Archon power will also be greatly reduced.
Archon system has been the same since then. To put it simple, this system works like a government for Teyvat. The god can be replaced with other god with same ideality, but the system is the same and that is the 7 elements and beliefs. The only originals from Archon war era left are Venti and Zhongli, the others had been replaced with new gods.
But let's look at present time. Teyvat has changed so much but in good way, it is now peaceful land where humanity strive for their own dreams. However there are so many faint problems as we played as traveler in the game, and one of it is how each of the Archons one by one let go of their gnosis because they started to believe humans can live on their own in Teyvat.
It is undeniable that there is something that these gods and Celestia hid from current Teyvat and traveler. The Archons are not hostile (at least Venti and Zhongli lol) at traveler but they are aware that traveler can bring major change for the fate of this world, so they only helped for a bit and let us go on our own journey to figure this all out.
The past battles are not completely over yet because the Archons only kept Teyvat in a state that is considered "peaceful". The good thing is that our traveler somehow solved each of the nation's problems and gained the Archon trust to step out of that state and change. The battle continued again as our traveler begin to bring changes into "law" of Teyvat.
If I have to say something about this... the conclusion to all of these problems is because everyone in Teyvat is always at misunderstanding towards each other, including traveler's sibling. No one is at right because they're stubborn with their own wishes, and that has been going since ancient times. but! It is up to us as the main traveler to fix this altogether, to find the true balance of peace for everyone, to find the meaning of our journey, to bring new hope and dream to Teyvat, and hopefully getting back to our home world intact without any loss yk (istg we know that Mihoyo started to kill people in Inazuma chapter, it better NOT be worse in next chapters)

Trivia - Gnosis
this is an analysis that may contain spoilers
"A Gnosis is a higher-order nexus of elemental manipulation and is emblematic of an archon's status as one of The Seven." - Venti
Tumblr media
I think this would be an interesting topic hehe, just what is the whole thing going around a gnosis.
The first time the word 'gnosis' appear was when Signora stole one from Venti (current Anemo Archon) by force. We can see that a Gnosis shapes like chess piece with Celestia signature look. It seems likely that a Gnosis work like a heart/core of an Archon, that is completely under the god control.
From the lore that we know, a Gnosis is an item used by The Seven Archons to directly tap into energy from Celestia and also as proof of their status as an elemental Archon. Each of the seven Archons has a Gnosis, and it drastically multiply their elemental power, allowing them to become more powerful and shape Teyvat better.
Talking about Gnosis ability it does hint that Celestia indeed hold enormous power that they can distribute. However since we don't know what's inside Celestia's system and mission, I think there are 2 possibilities about how Celestia distribute the Gnosis ;
a Gnosis works like a crown for the chosen Archons. The seven Archons are the king/queen in Celestia, they're the current rulers for Celestia, and a Gnosis is the highest power item that can be obtained from Celestia. This could mean that Celestia is a neutral place that only waited for ideal beings to eventually come and take the empty thrones.
a Gnosis works to embody the Archons as Celestia's pawns. There's a higher being in Celestia that choose these archons to serve Celestia, and to honor their service for Celestia, they're granted a Gnosis.
Tumblr media
Both of that can be true in some ways, but I think what most likely to be true is type II .
Let's take a step back and observe the history of Gnosis itself. As first mentioned, a Gnosis is owned by each of the seven Archons and these gods are they who won Archon war and fit for Celestia's ideality. But I noticed there's a loophole where most of the seven archons present are not the same originals who won the Archon war (only Venti and Zhongli are the originals from Archon war). An Archon can be replaced with other god who has the same element and ideality that fit in Celestia's favor. I'm not sure what happened to the previous archons or how the new archons got their gnosis, but since what makes an Archon is they who possess a Gnosis, it proofs that Celestia ideality never changed since then. Whoever that fits for Celestia ideality will be granted divine promises such as gnosis.
But I want to make a point that each Archon has their control over what they wanna do with a Gnosis. It won't make sense if a Gnosis works like a crown from Celestia and they're okay with losing it.
These idealities are what Celestia wanted, and that is why the archons were given that divine power so they can shape Teyvat according to divine ideality. There must be some sort of bonding from Celestia by granting them great power via gnosis, and that would mean Celestia is controlling over everything indirectly, including the Archons system.
Here's what I think, if Celestia is the so-called heaven that wishes to sustain Teyvat with its ideality, wouldn't it mean Celestia should follow that ideality for these gods as well? Each of the gods know their ideality the best, and they see directly what is going on in Teyvat. It does make sense if these archons are okay with losing their gnosis when they think that Celestia wish doesn't follow their idealities anymore. Take Venti for example, he is the God of Freedom right? what would freedom really mean if he's controlled by Celestia :)
In conclusion, a Gnosis truly gave the Archons divine power but it bonds them with Celestia, to shape Teyvat with heaven idealities. Sounds pretty demanding huh... no wonder traveler's sibling wanted to overthrow Celestia lmao.

Here's the work that I made,
Tumblr media
It is a combined work of artline and pyrography. I also assemble the woodpieces myself...
I must say this was a fun thing to do even though it is no near perfect, I'm satisfied with this result ^^
I'm glad that my best friend liked it, and it gave me happy mood for the whole day
Anyways that's all I wanna tell for now, ty for reading

Timeline
This is the order of major events in Genshin Impact incase if you're confused about WHEN things happened. I'm listing bullets of important events from the earliest until present time.
Tumblr media
Before anything, some things don't have certain and exact time but they're quite important and is still part of the history. For uncertainty like this, they do happen somewhere between before/after major events, so I'm putting event points order by divided section. This is the simplest history review I can make.
Before Morax (>6000 years ago) :
Before everything in history, Celestia (heaven) already exist.
There were 3 moon sisters that orbit heaven, they take turns in reign, so all three of them get a chance to orbit.
The world is filled with raw elemental power, and in it Seelie race exist (they're spirits but with humanoid form). Seelie race was the glorious civilization over the world, tasked to guide humanity with wisdom. So here humans also exist.
There is a certain point where the 3 moon sisters reign cycle got messed, and that failure caused a disaster (the first known cataclysm)
Seelies were grieved after the disaster, and their civilization fall. With that fall, humans lose their wisdom guide and began to rise on their own.
Humans are scattered over the world, with any land part they can civil in, and certain group of people blessed by wisdom built a godless kingdom, Khaen'riah.
6000 years ago, Morax is born
Before and during Archon war (>2000 years ago) :
There were gods and some of them are also envoys from heaven. They live along with humans and occasionally some of them may rule over lands.
a bit after Morax is born, a star fell on west of Liyue and it is known today as The Chasm.
It is still uncertain when was the exact start of Archon war, but it happened because Celestia opened 7 ideality seat for gods.
In Mondstadt, god Decarabian reign rise to rule over humans and their capital was located at what we know today as Stormterror Lair.
At some point, other god Andrius declared war on him, and during this war hostile blizzards were made on the land.
Because of that blizzard, group of people who did not side with Decarabian moved to fertile mountain at Dragonspine and built their own kingdom named Sal Vindagnyr.
In Inazuma, there was a Tanuki-Kitsune war, because Tanuki is native of Inazuma and Kitsune is from mainland Teyvat and they want to dominate Inazuma.
In Liyue, gods Morax and Guizhong made an assembly to help humans in Liyue, and their capital is located on Guili plains.
There were also humans who live in Lisha region that beliefs in a sea god. Overtime Morax supress all other Gods and protect Liyue people that beliefs in him
3700 years ago, Guili assembly fell because Guizhong died and Morax took the people of Liyue to south where it is now known as Liyue Harbor. In here he established The Qixing and Millelith and helped Liyue people develop better life.
2600 years ago, Decarabian reign is overthrown by a revolution led by Nameless Bard (with wind spirit Barbatos), Amos, Gunnhildr knight and Ragnvindr warrior. In here Barbatos also ascended to godhood and tame Mondstadt for a while then leaves humans with their own freedom.
After Archon war (2000 years ago) :
2000 years ago, The Archon war is over when Celestia settles down with seven ideal archons.
In Mondstadt, after Barbatos left, an aristocracy led by Lawrence clan happened and last until
1000 years ago, Barbatos is back and disguised as Venti, he also lend power to Vennessa defeating Ursa The Drake, which led to a revolution again where aristocracy was thrown down, and Mondstadt lives under protection of Knights of Favonius (found by Vennessa) and Church of Favonius is restored.
Cataclysm (500 years ago) :
In Liyue,
1000 years ago, Azhdaha attacked The Chasm and destroyed Tianqiu valley settlement, but later was sealed in a pocket dimension under Nantianmen by Morax and some adeptis.
500 years ago, The Cataclysm happened where Celestia and seven archons destroyed Khaen'riah (during Eclypse dynasty).
For record, some archons did die during this event too, one of them is previous Dendro archon which then replaced by current Dendro archon.
Aether and Lumine were already here in Teyvat (may associated with Khaen'riah), and then attempted to leave Teyvat but got stopped by Unknown God. They were separated in time after that. Traveler's sibling stayed and traveled with Dainsleif until at some point they separate and then Traveler's sibling lead the Abyss Order,
In Mondstadt, during this event Dvalin battled Durin, and Durin corpse fell on Dragonspine (This time Dragonspine is already dead cold).
Recent past to present time :
After the Cataclysm, most events happened around humanity dealing the impact and continues on with human life under the seven archons.
In Mondstadt, one of The Seven statue were stolen by Abyss Order at some point. Then there's a problem with Knights of Favonius that affect some people including Diluc.
4 years ago, Diluc's father passed away and that caused Diluc to leave Mondstadt and nomads over Teyvat.
6 months ago, the current grandmaster Varka left on expedition bringing Knight of Favonius elites and leave Jean as acting grandmaster. After the grandmaster leaves, Diluc returned to Mondstadt and take his responsibilities back.
2 months ago, Traveler meets Paimon, nd our story starts when Traveler begin their journey with Paimon.
In Inazuma,
1 year ago, the shogun implements Sakoku decree (nation lock) and Vision Hunt Decree. Since then there's no electro vision given to humans too.
Present time, is all the things we've encountered as traveler in the game.
a/n : I have high understanding and read lores very well. I strip off anything that's vague/theory-like so these are 98% canonically correct and I guess I can say it is safe from any major spoilers and mistaken prophecy. Reblogs are greatly appreciated, and you may give me some of your thoughts through my askbox. Thank you for your time reading these, and have a nice day ^^. (more notes : if you really want more detailed things, I see that the fandom wiki is quite detailed, you should try to read it there, but for the love of God this post is made to simplify that yk)

hmm so I already have certain topics for next parts about Genshin theories, and they're already in my drafts for a while. But it gets a bit trickier because it needs... some more information and understanding. I'm currently trying to assemble the vague pieces of information. Well I can't just throw all the information in messy right? I'm tailoring it nicely and on point conclusion/trivia so it can be easily understood.
And also since they're just theories, it may not be true but I'm giving my best shot of what could happen in Genshin. Please be patient hehe ^^;;

Happy Birthday for Ningguang
In this special day of Ningguang's bday, I'm making this appreciation post and talk a bit about her.
Tumblr media
a/n : ik that this is late but I still want to post this BECAUSE I LOVE NINGGUANG AND NONE CAN STOP ME
Ningguang is...
Tumblr media
Ngl my first impression towards her is that she feels like evil sly fox that can betray you any moment but this is very wrong.
Ningguang is just a really smart person that knows what she's doing
To understand her better we need to look back on her life story before she became the Ningguang we know today.
Ningguang didn't come from rich or influential family, in fact she came from poor background. Every bits of mora that she earned is from her own hard work.
"Despite the multitude of affairs she deals with in a day, Ningguang always continues to press on. A rare gem indeed. I'm reminded of the time that she used to walk barefoot from Yaoguang Shoal to the south wharf, trying to sell her wares as she went. Time is cruel to humans."
- Zhongli
With such background, Ningguang's life was not easy. Ningguang's mind is trained to work harder and smarter than everyone else in order to get out of poverty.
She wished to get out of poverty and become wealthy.
This is Ningguang's dream and ambition.
In a business world, one must understand what card their opponent is holding and what kind of strategy to hit checkmate on them all, this is exactly what Ningguang been doing all these times. She's very observant and quick to act on the informations that she gained. With every win from her strike, she gains more and more power and wealthiness. With more of those, she becomes more influential than ever before which is a very good investment for more power.
Ningguang understand the basic of investment very well. That includes her investment on Liyue.
Many people have encountered her in many different ways and everyone described her differently from one another. This proves that Ningguang understand how to give different impressions on different types of people that she met (that's one mad skill over there). Knowing how to present yourself is one of strategy to gain a win in any game, and combined with knowing what your opponent is doing? That's literally checkmate. Ningguang should play business game with Diluc someday lmao. With such ability to understand other people minds and deed, she's also become trained for sharp observation to trust someone, so don't be offended when she doesn't trust people easily because she knows this very well.
Being rich is nice and good but that doesn't change Ningguang's true self. Her dream and ambition are merely to gain as much as she can from her hardwork, never to become someone new. People can slander her for whatever she has done in this world, but that is just her smart work, not who she really is
Ningguang is only doing what she likes but never prioritize herself over another. She understands how to give balance for everything between herself and other people. How to gain as much benefit and agreement but with balanced deal. She never made rash decisions, she always think of them thoroughly, and never based of momentary sentiments.
That's why her constellation is called 'The Balance' :3
She become Tianquan of Qixing not just for her business benefits but also because she wants to bring balance in Liyue.
Did you know? Liyue was used to be filled with sneaky merchants that fraud each other and even trample over other people / common folk. Ningguang was one of the common folk before and ofc she knew that such fraudness is wrong. This could also be the reason why she's working to the top just to change this.
Ever since Ningguang become the Tianquan of Qixing, many regulations over Liyue business and contracts, etc. are changed to scale balance over everyone. That is one super skill of a human there. Even when she already made balanced rule over everyone, some people still break them anyways (like Beidou).
Next thing is about her Jade Chamber. We know that Jade Chamber is built by her own wealth and it's become her home and office site as the Tianquan. But we know that she's willing to sacrifice Jade Chamber when that Vortex god attacked. She did not regret any of this, which proofs that she's not full of herself, she truly cares for Liyue and willing to give her all for the safety of Liyue.
For someone who came from poverty and gained all the wealth people tend to be blinded by all of that but not for Ningguang. She knows how to be humble and down to earth, because she knows that everything that's gained can be lost, and-
That is how investment in life works. Sometimes you gain but sometimes you lose, it's normal. Ningguang knows how to start all over again when she loses everything that she gained. Very strong mental indeed.
Altho idk if she's even alright without emotional support, I wish I can be her emotional support tho-
Ningguang is a great woman if you can see all of these things she'd done.
.
.
more a/n : I literally spent 5 hours for that ms paint drawing with a damn mouse (because I dont have photoshop or a drawing tablet) and this typing, BECAUSE NINGGUANG IS A WOMAN OF HARDWORKING SO ME AS A SIMP SHALL WORK HARD TOO HAHA. and also I am thankful for anyone that's willing to read this all :")
