"You know the greatest loves of all time are over now"
When I was a senior in high school my best friend's parents divorced. I was shocked and when I told my friend how sorry I was that it happened, all she said was "well not everyone can be Pat and Dave now can they". That beyond opened my eyes to my parents' relationship. Since that day, over 15 years ago I've always strived and dreamed of a marriage like theirs. Was it perfect? No. Was it free of arguments and fights? No. They worked and worked and worked at it. 3 weeks after celebrating 37 years together my dad lost his battle with cancer.
The pain of missing him hurts to my bones and breaks my soul on a daily basis. 3 things save me on that same daily basis. My husband, my son, and @taylorswift.
I knew 2020 was going to be hard because of so many firsts without my dad. #Folklore is no exception. It's Taylor's first album I couldn't discuss with him and I know he would have loved it.
I know Tay will never see this but I hope someday she'll know how much her music means to me and what it meant for mine and my dad's relationship this past year.

My dad left us exactly 7 months ago today. I've always been told that the first rainbow you see after someone passes away is their way of saying "I'm ok." This happened today, in the month we would have celebrated his birthday and Father's day. He's gone and I miss him in my bones.

One year of ME!
Tomorrow we celebrate the one year anniversary of Me! by the one and only Taylor Swift. To celebrate, I have decided to take control of my life and join Noom to complete a weight loss journey I've been meaning to start for almost 2 years now.
It's time to celebrate YOU by making this the year OF YOU!!!!

Dear Taylor,
2 months ago I started going to grief counseling so I could officially start healing from the loss of my father. My dad to me, is how your mom is to you; he was my favorite person. When I lost him I lost a huge piece of me and who I was as a person.
For a while, you and your music were the only things getting me through my day. I was only going through the motions and your music was my soundtrack.
Today, after just about 5 months since my dad passed, I started doing something I loved again. I turned on Lover and I found myself singing along, getting creative, smiling at the memories of my dad and I doing these things together. We bonded over so many different things but your music was one of the main things that brought us closer as I got older. He would have gone to war for you.
So, thank you for being you, being the soundtrack though the last 13 years of my life, and for the ability to smile when I remember these things now. I love you!!!!!

I recently started grief counseling and while I know its expensive even with insurance, I needed to start doing it. Well, I got my first bill today and....INSURANCE COVERED EVERYTHING.
Admitting you need mental help is tough but if you research it enough and find what's right for you, good things happen. And with being down an income right now this was a huge relief.
So, I feel @taylorswift in this picture today!!! It's a good day.

School bell rings, walk me home
Sidewalk chalk covered in snow
Lost my gloves, you give me one
"Wanna hang out?"
Yeah, sounds like fun
Video games, you pass me a note
Sleeping in tents
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
Light pink sky up on the roof
Sun sinks down, no curfew
Twenty questions, we tell the truth
You've been stressed out lately? Yeah, me too
Something gave you the nerve
To touch my hand
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
Church bells ring, carry me home
Rice on the ground looks like snow
Call my bluff, call you "babe"
Have my back, yeah, everyday
Feels like home, stay in bed
The whole weekend
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
It's nice to have a friend
(Ooh)
(Ooh)
We all have a friend in @taylorswift and @taylornation

I'm not a nurse.
No, I'm not a nurse, I'm a dietitian. No I don't have 100% direct contact with covid19 patients but I do make sure their tube feeding and dietary needs are met. I dont work 12 hour shifts but I do, and will be working 5-6 10 hour shifts a week. No i dont have the $ to be able stay away from home so yes I come home to my family everyday and take care of my family after taking caring of extremely sick patients and the nurses taking care of those patients.
We are still considered frontline, essential employees and I think we as a team deserve the same respect as everyone else.
This is stressful for everyone and next week begins, or is projected to have our influx of infected people.
I am both blessed to still be working and shouldn't be complaining about the hours but I'm also terrified everyday I pull up to the hospital and get Covid screened everyday.
Sadly, this also means our times of Taylor Swift dance parties at work are coming to an end (for now).
@taylorswift thank you for giving me the sanity I need to get through these days and I'll be looking forward to my off key singalongs on the drive to and from work.

No, I’m not a nurse. I’m not a doctor, and I’m not a respiratory therapist. I work in Radiology. I have direct contact with COVID patients daily. Radiology is the department where COVID patients come and most likely get scans of their chests done, to assess fluid levels and respiratory damage the virus can be causing within their lungs. Sometimes we come to their bedside if they are too weak.
I am a frontline caregiver.
Each day I get to work, I immediately have to put on the mask shown in the above photo as soon as I step out of my vehicle, and keep it on until I return to my vehicle after my shift. I change before I leave work. I spray my car with Lysol upon arrival home. I sanitize my phone and watch, place my scrubs in the wash machine, and shower immediately. I do it all over again the next day, with that same paper mask, and same N95 when I need it.
I do not work in a current hot spot, and I do not have the exposure nurses, doctors, and respiratory therapists do, and I pray each day for their safety.
However, I do not have the option to stay at home. Radiology staff and transport personnel are frontline caregivers and are in need. My hospital is short on PPE, I must reuse my masks, and we are preparing for a surge.
How do I do it?
I have made a playlist of songs for before work, and a playlist for after, which helps me be in the right mental headspace. Can you guess who takes up the majority of those?! That’s right, @taylorswift. My favorite are those songs with her gentle voice, meaningful lyrics, and empowering words that put me in the right mindset. (aka daylight, clean, all too well, I think you get the hint💗).
You empower me in more than one way @taylorswift. Your lyrics have and continue to get me through the hardest battles. And I cannot say thank you enough. 💗
Sending love to all healthcare workers and essential employees. Especially those on the front lines. I’m here for anyone who wants to chat. 💗
@brittsworld327 thank you for the inspiration to share my story 😘
