“I’m actually studying tonight.” Like every night, he was never one to describe as being the life of a party, “I’m not really the best person to talk to about havng fun or curing boredom.”
A soft smile graced Sage’s lips and she chuckled warmly, “What if studying is curing boredom for me? I don’t really need much to keep me occupied as long as it keeps me out of the house.” She didn’t obtain or keep the grades that she did from skipping the studying portion of doing alright in school, “I’m smarter than your stereotypical cheerleader, give me some credit,” her words were teasing as she nodded for him to come a little closer now that she’d trapped someone into talking with her for a moment.

“Because I had no idea that they would even deliver to the school, this is such good news,” she chirped softly with a laugh falling on her lips while reaching to pluck a piece of the pizza from the box. She took a bite as she settled into the seat across from him, “You know you’re just going to feed the whole school like this, right?” Sage’s eyebrow quirked up and she licked the remaining sauce from her lips before she took another bite.
“Why are you giving me that look?” David asked with a quirked brow when he saw the person’s gaze lingering on him, huffing quietly. “Are you not allowed to order pizza at school here?” he questioned almost offended, taking a bite from his slice. “So we have two options here, either you can go and be a snitch or you and I share this delicious cheesy goodness, what do you say?”

Johnny snorted, “Yeah, like I’d take the chance of carrying that on me.” Johnny took a drag from his cigarette, holding it for a few second before exhaling. He shrugged, “Well, for me, I smoke cause it keeps me not hitting people.” He laughed softly, “I mean I could probably just do deep breathing exercises, but whats the fun in that.”
Sage couldn’t help the way a smile turned up the corners of her lips and she swept her tongue over her lips, “What a bummer, that’s a lot more fun that slowly killing yourself. At least in my opinion.” She was a little surprised with the brash way that the boy spoke but it wasn’t something she was entirely new to, she had that kind of attitude directed solely at her in the past and by no means was he doing that so it rolled off her back easily. “Deep breathing exercises have never worked for me, go figure. I tend to keep it down to just a little bit of weed every now and then and, y’know, not hitting people. I feel the lack of violence helps me keep my head on straight.”

Sage crinkled her nose a bit but she would be lying if she claimed that she didn’t steal a few cigarettes from her dad every now and then. That was something for her to know about though, the cheerleaders would likely have her head if they knew she smoked at all. “Not unless you have something other than cigarettes with you,” she quipped sweetly with her eyebrow hiking up softly, “What’s with all of you punks having a smoking problem? If it vital to being a part of your little clique?”
“Can’t a guy get 5 minutes of peace and quiet around here without being interrupted?” Johnny asked as he blew the remaining smoke out from his lungs. His eyes closed as he took another drag, “is there something I can help you with or are you here to join me?” He asked quietly as his eyes reopened and landed on the person beside him.

Sage was sitting on the hood of her car with music playing from the stereo and seemingly nowhere to go despite school being out for the day. A big part of her didn’t feel like going home right now so the next semi familiar face to cross her path was caught by the girl’s voice, “Hey! You have anything to do this afternoon? I’m bored out of my mind but I don’t feel like going home.” The pout on her lips was dramatic but so was almost everything about the tiny cheerleader.

“I can’t believe that this is even a question. More importantly, as much as I do love Bob Ross, I can’t believe that’s your pick,” the small girl scoffed a bit dramatically and tucked her hair back behind her ear. She nibbled at the skin on her lip as she thought about it and her tongue was quick to smooth over where she’d made it a bit raw, “I think I’d have to go with Bill Nye. Mr Rogers was a joy and did a lot of things socially but Bill Nye not only expanded the social folder but he also teaches past the prejudices we grow up with. At least in my eyes. He became an icon for expanding minds and I have a lot of respect for that,” her musings were voiced.
“if you had to choose between the three holy spirits would you be Bob ross, Bill Nye or Mr Rogers?” Johnny paused, “I gotta hand it to Bob ross.”

Sage was a looking a bit under the weather, tired more than anything likely. She tucked a piece of her long hair behind her ear as her knees tucked up between her seat and the desk, she was tiny enough to fit perfectly curled up with her chin resting on top of the crease and her handwriting scribbling across the paper. Her phone kept buzzing inside of her bag and she tried to ignore it but it was near impossible, suddenly she was grabbing her notebook and shoving it into the messenger bag that she carried before slipping out of the empty classroom and through to hall to beeline towards the door as her phone met her ear. “Daddy, I’m not having this conversation right now. I didn’t want to see what I did but no one can change that after the fact, just let it go and let me figure it out, let me focus on school, I’m begging you,” she pleaded quietly but her voice cracked a bit and the normally well composed girl looked exhausted and frazzled.

(bare with me, I’ve never done this before so I’m basing this off of others)
DARLA SAGE LEONE ( ARIANA GRANDE / FEMALE ) - is a 16 year old SOPHOMORE student at NORTHLAKE High. They sit with the ARTISTS at lunch and are commonly known around school as the SYCOPHANT, because they’re +EXPRESSIVE and +AMBITIOUS, but also -DECEITFUL and -OVEREMOTIONAL.
SNAPSHOT OF DARLA’S SECRET
Sage comes from a very powerful and wealthy family in Northlake, her daddy is a successful lawyer known locally for his ability and well proven tendencies of getting off the most notorious and vicious crime bosses and degenerates in the town and surrounding areas. Their money comes from him helping murderers, abusers, drug dealers, and the assorted lot get out of the hot water that they put themselves into. He is far too good at his job and runs with a crowd that would petrify anyone, a crowd that Sage has grown up under. Her ‘uncle’ is a man that murdered his family in cold blood and shows no remorse for the act, a man that’ll sit at the Leone family dinner table and tell the stories of his horrendous acts like they’re fairytales. These kinds of people have been a constant in the young girl’s life and as a result of her upbringing she has a deceitful way about her that gets her anything and everything that she desires and she’s never seen any sort of repercussions for the twisted games that she plays. Despite the reality of her situation, the entire family (consisting of her, her father, and her older brother) put on the appearance of the sweet little family next door always having cook outs, pool parties, and she’s never made less than straight A’s. Tight knit, loving, and devout are a few words used to describe the Leone’s and no one seems to bat an eye at the manufactured false identity that they’ve created for themselves. The dramatic cheerleading songstress is a breath of fresh air when she comes into any room with that infectious grin on her lips and she wouldn’t dare let anyone in on her family’s dangerous truth.
HEADCANONS
· Sage’s mother left abruptly when she was 13 and she hasn’t seen her since then. Little does she know that the woman is in a mental hospital suffering from the inability to cope with what her father does and the violent and sick things that have rocked the family as a result.
· Sage is a daddy’s girl through to her core, he spoils her rotten and does what he can to keep her on track in her studies and shelter her the best that he can but it’s impossible to tuck her away from the truth entirely. She knows far more than he wants her to.
· Sage knows how to get what she wants from those around her, she has a sweet appearance and the voice to match but she’s a dangerous match to be playing with. Her older brother is being groomed to fall into the same line of work as their father and it’s still up in the air whether or not they’re going to try to get the little spark plug that is Darla Sage to fall in line.
SIDENOTES
I’m super new to this so please bare with me and if you have any tips or anything feel free to send them my way because I’m a bit lost.
If you have any plots or anything then shoot me a message! I love to write and I’m excited to try something new, I write both Sage and Solana and they’re rather wide open, I’m not one with many boundaries (I probably should have a few but oh well) so your wildest lines could have a place with one of my girls.
Sage is a cheerleader and an actor with the drama club if that helps form some connections!
