Nana was usually more aware of her surroundings, but the hallway was narrow and she was distracted; clutched in her hands were papers she’d been mulling over, homework of sorts she’d been given. Perhaps she’d been walking a little too fast too –something in her was eager to leave this place– and the next moment she’d found herself practically bowling over someone else.

“S-sorry!!” The apology came out as an uncharacteristic squeak, as conflicting reflexes sprung into action. The papers were clutched tight to her chest as if afraid they’d be seen by another, taking a stumbling step back to regain her balance, tensed and ready to spring into action.

“Are you okay?”

“It is weird seeing how Heroes go about it today, actually. Things have changed a lot-- and obviously the system that sprung up from a different era has evolved in a way that nobody anticipated. I can’t say it’s really working well, but... well, it’ll catch up.”

She had to admit, it was kinda refreshing to see heroes worry over something as petty as popularity, rather than the issues of her day.

Babysitting the kids was a joy, and one the Nana demanded as her right. Hana was napping but Tenko was still full of energy; she knew just the way work some of that out before supper. Purposefully adding a bounce to her steps, Nana took them down the road.

“Where to today, boss?”

When the floral circlet was offered, the old hero’s face had lit right up; crouching down so that the younger could reach up over her head, staying still as it was adjusted into place.

Once secured, Nana was careful as she stood back up, a big grin on her face and striking a pose. “So! How do I look?”

can i just come out of absolutely nowhere to shove some gran torino appreciation down ur throats for a sec because on this blog we stan 1 depressed old man doing his best

just appreciate that

a) he fought in not one, not two, but THREE major battles against AFO and survived them all

b) imagine being a kid who’s quirk was “i shoot air out of my feet” and deciding to become a hero. and turning that quirk into becoming one of the most formidable heroes of his generation

c) kept toshinori safe, trained him, and helped him achieve his dream through extremely trying circumstances.
