Here’s a little explainer post I made for my instagram. Thought I’d post it here too! 🐾

It does a disservice to all listed communities to have them be misconstrued and misunderstood to the degree that they often are. Hopefully this post helps some folks understand the differences and nuances a bit better! ^^

A little life update. Wisteria is no longer allowed to front, she’s done some bad things we won’t specify. Beau and Crimson are our current hosts, Beau will be posting on this account, Crimson will not. I am Beau’s adoptive mother so naturally I will be monitoring the account and occasionally posting when I’m out.

27) Do you have any rules?

Things like brushing our hair and teeth everyday and eating at least twice a day since those are things we struggle with.

28) What’s your personality when regressed?

With /pos regression I get very silly and playful and sometimes even more forgetful than I already am. With /neg regression, I tend to cry a lot even if it’s triggered by small stuff. And with either I get super clingy around my friends and headmates.

I just now saw that our account is now a year old. This is the one good thing happening currently, it seems. We're having an absolutely awful night because of our mother who has undiagnosed but very very obvious NPD (she's only undiagnosed because the only thing she does in therapy is complain about how much of a "brat" we are) and keeps claiming our disabilities and disorders are fake and verbally abusing us. But the alternatives we have are foster care or living with our grandmother, which would both be worse than this. So we're trapped. I think she's done with the physical abuse though, I think she's scared she'll get in legal trouble if she does anything like that to us again.

With this stimboard I went with three different color themes, one for each row. Top is pink and blue, middle is pink, purple and blue, and bottom is yellow/gold. I think my favorite is the bottom one.

idk who the frick thought the term impure regression was nice but it's incorrect. that sounds so dumb. oooh you're sad or experiencing smth less than positive while regressing or its triggering your regression?? "oo that's impure cos everyone knows regression is only happy silly fun colors good time and not at all a very common COPING MECHANISM and therapeutic tool" /s (it is not and never has been only joy and good and silly, and it has always been a coping mechanism and it isn't even voluntary for some people!!!)

Regression exists on a spectrum, you can experience it in a variety of ways, there is no Pure way to regress. that's ridiculous and puts the unnecessary connotation of Good and Bad on people who are just trying to cope or get out of their head or don't even mean to regress at all.

NONE of my regression is impure regardless of the reason I'm regressing. when I'm sad and crying and hugging a stuffed animal or can't even hug a stuffie because I'm so upset or when I feel scared and small and need to hide a bit, I'm still regressed and there's nothing impure or less or wrong about it.

do not try to make certain regressions seem better than others, do not make regressors feel worse for their bad mood than they already do. just stoooopppp.

24) Do you like to play pretend?

Mhm, we don't have anything physical to play pretend with rn cause the body's mum doesn't want to encourage agere for some reason, but I like to make up stories and characters in my head and imagine them interacting with each other and sometimes even me :3

25) Why do you regress?

Because of trauma. In headspace I (May) am already 8 but I regress to 4 to feel safe when I'm scared or stressed or /neg triggered.

26) Do you listen to music when regressed? If so, what do you listen to?

We listen to music almost 24/7, to the point where we get anxious when we aren't, so naturally that stays when we're regressed. Even when I'm my big age, but especially when I'm regressed, I loove listening to anything from Beetlebug and also Lullaby by Chxrlotte helps when I'm little and anxious or sleepy or both. I also like Marcus Warner's Reprise EP because I like mlp and orchestral music so combining them is amazing.

21) Are you ticklish?

We aren't very ticklish, but if someone tickles us we will probably get overstimulated so not a great idea.

22) If you could have one fictional character as your CG, who would you choose?

Either Princess Luna or Princess Cadence from mlp, I can't choose between the two.

23) What would your dream little room be like?

Lots of pastel purple and yellow and it would have a corner filled with wolf and Fluttershy plushies.

17) What's something that always makes you regress?

Apricotaudios, her videos almost always make me feel small. Also cuddling my owl squishmallow I call Minerva.

18) Is staying regressed easy for you?

When I involuntarily regress it's actually hard to not be little, but when it's voluntary it's sometimes pretty hard to stay small.

19) What's your opinion on the agere community?

It's one of the only strictly sfw communities out there, and from what I've seen it's just so wholesome and welcoming.

20) Do you read agere fics?

Not usually, but every once in a while I read one out of curiosity. I find it hard to regress while reading, so if it doesn't help me regress, I don't see a point.
