What? Magistrate's Revenge was good. I mean, the protagonist clearly isn't making his decisions while sound of mind, but I think that only added to the audience's ability to suspend their belief when all the ritual blood-based kekkei-genkai things were thrown at us for the finale.

All of Kakashi's friends have one thing in common: they do not give a fuck about their reputation. They do not care what you think of them. Kakashi and Gai are as eccentric as they come and most of what you say to them is going to just slide right off and Kurenai and Asuma will just straight up shrug you off for questioning their feelings, motives etc [see: them ignoring Iruka's prodding at chuunin exams]

So it's like. Oh you're afraid of "Friend Killer" Kakashi? You think he's weird and violent and he gives you the creeps? Huh. Maybe you're the weirdo here because I saw him crying over "Ninja Love 3: Magistrate's Revenge" about 10 times just last night in the cinema. Do you know he uses the baby voice on his dogs?
