-raises an eyebrow- Right. -makes a face- Waiting tables sounds like a lot of running around. At least at the coffee shop I get to stay behind the counter. I don’t hate it, persay, I think it’s the early hours. I’m not exactly a morning person, as you know.

-raises an eyebrow- So you two were...studying together? -nods- You say that now. Trust me, life outside of college isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. At least not right away. -sighs dramatically- I would love to do that, but the band only plays weekends. There’s nothing for me to do. Being a bartender would be fun, as well, but I don’t think there are any openings.

Well, it’s not too bad. I’ve got most of it nailed. Had to help Oliver with it earlier and he’s – struggling a lot more than I am. -shrugs- Just waiting to get it over with. -raises his brow- I don’t see why you don’t just quit that place and go full time at the bar, y’know. I’m sure they’d have you.

Ick. Math. I can see why you’re procrastinating. Good thing about you being almost done, though. I miss having summers off. Now I’m just a “working two jobs, one of which she really doesn’t like at all” adult.

That is true. Although most of the time the presents aren’t things I’ll enjoy. Except when she brings food. -puts her head in her hands and makes a groaning noise- Don’t remind me. He was like thirty-five, as well.

Research papers. -makes a face- Ick. Can’t say I miss those. -shakes her head with a smile- I don’t mind. If I’m asked for my opinion, I’m always happy to give it. And you’ve always been polite whenever I’ve seen you in here, as apposed to some of the absolutely horrid regulars we get.

There’s always that, too. I definitely can’t say that the thought of not having to write any massive research papers or conduct any studies for a year or two wouldn’t be something of a relief. -grimaces a sec- I’m sorry for pretty much dumping this on you out of nowhere. I promise I don’t usually do this kind of thing— and especially not to the people who provide me with coffee most mornings.
