Daxton grinned from where he was sat beside, slowly turning himself so he could properly look at her. “You look good, Scar.” He said honestly, his smile never leaving his face. “It so was. The people around here just weren’t keeping me entertained anymore.” Dax joked.

Scarlett laughed to try and cover up the blush that was slowly forming on her cheeks, a reaction that was almost assured by any compliment that came her way. “Must be all the time I’ve had away from this place, maybe the fresh air did me good.” She told him with a grin. “They do become rather mundane after while don’t they?” The blonde joked back, “lucky for the two of us, we’re much too extraordinary to ever be anything but entertaining.” She added with a wink.

For my next trick I’ll go through 9 different emotions within two minutes

Ryan was definitely joking when he said that this was her last chance. If anything, she should have said that ot him because he left without saying anything to her for a long time and even though he knew she didn’t hold it against him, it was still something that he carried with himself. He’d give her how many chances she wanted to have. “I don’t know, i think i’d be pretty entertained to see you answer all the questions about why i’m there. If we’re dating, getting married soon, or if our baby is going to be born at some point in the next few months. Etc.” He said, letting out a laugh as he thought about all the questions that would raise if he followed her around on premieres and whatnot. “I feel like i’d never be allowed to go out because they would never agree on anything i ever wear.” 

Laughing along with him, Scarlett nodded her head. “You being spotted everywhere I go would probably cause a bit of talk, but really they should be used to it by now.” The blonde pointed out, after all since meeting him Ryan had been the one constant in her life. However having him by her side on something as big as a promotional tour would raise a few eyebrows. “You think you’d get a chance to decide what you wear? That’s cute Ryan, it really is. These people mean business. You’ll be dressed up like their own personal barbie doll before you can even question it.” She giggled.

“Exactly. No you, no point leaving my room.” He said, half serious as he glanced over his glass to see her, sipping slowly from the whiskey. “A strange face? Those might not be newbies, Scar. You know how people are around here.” Dax joked, a cheeky smile on his face. “Mason and Trinity are alright.”

Taking a drink, Scarlett placed her glass down on the bar as she turned towards him, grinning at his reply, she really had missed the boy. “Fair point.” She agreed with a short laugh, as her finger’s traced the rim of the glass. “Faces I don’t recognize might be a better description.” She decided with a grin. “I’ll keep an eye out for them then, this place was probably due for some fresh blood.”

“You should be flattered,” Hannah said plainly, sitting on the edge of her bed. “What’s that?”

Burying her face in her bag as she dug around, the blonde finally pulled out the bottle she’d been after. “Tequila.” She told her. “Neither of us should have to go through this particular interaction sober.”

“Good point!” Teagan said with a laugh.  “I’ve known people that have worn bathing suits as underwear so that they didn’t have to laundry for a few more days, so it isn’t that foreign of a concept.” She nodded as she listened. “I can see that, but hey, it seems like you’re holding it together pretty well.” she said with a shrug.  “For publicity or something? That makes sense.  She might be upset that you stayed, but shouldn’t she think that staying is better than you hating every second that you were here?”

“I’d be lying if I said I’d never done it.” Scarlett admitted with a laugh. “It does? That’s a relief, maybe my acting is better than I’m giving myself credit for.” She half joked, because on the inside she was a ball of nerves. “Originally, yeah.” She confirmed with a nod. “She doesn’t really care if I hated it or not to be honest, but personally I find it a huge plus.” The blonde said with a grin.

“wow, you nearly did abandon the rest of us. and here i was thinking i was being funny.” miles fakes surprise and gently nudges her side. he doesn’t blame her. he thinks about leaving all the time, but this isn’t like real life at all  he can’t pack up and go whenever he feels like it only to come back months later like nothing has happened. not without a good reason, and he doesn’t give those out too often. “you heard about fashion week?” cheeks flushed, miles pushes his hair back from his forehead. it wasn’t his first one, but it was the first he’d ever walked. “there must’ve been a lot if it’s lasted six seasons.“ he thinks aloud, blinking at her. “no, not a lot’s happened. i mean, there’s drama and everything, but it’s kinda…same old same old, you know?”

“I could lie to you, but honestly the idea becomes a little more appealing day by day.” Scarlett shrugged, her smile still in place. “I’ve been here since season two and I can’t help but wonder if I actually still enjoy it or if it’s just habit at this point.” She told him honestly. Once upon a time she missed every second she wasn’t in the house, it had become the first place she’d though of as home in her whole life, a constant in a world full of anything but. These days though, it had started to feel suffocating and if it wasn’t for a few select people, she knew she’d say goodbye for good. “Of course I did.” The blonde confirmed, her smile only growing at his flushed cheeks. “My stylist didn’t stop raving about you, I think she was a little jealous you weren’t wearing her designs actually.” She grinned. “Yeah, I get that.” She sighed, “I mean, the fact it’s been a little quieter as of late is both a blessing and a curse, the drama that used to happen around her broke up the boredom a bit.”

“Sounds very busy indeed.” Joey nodded before smiling back at her. “Oh I believe you, people would think being on the show wouldn’t be that much hard work, but it is really,�� he explained. “Yeah, there’s been quite a lot of new people recently. It’s nice though, it’s refreshing to have new people around here.”

“It is, have you done must promotional work for this one?” She asked him, knowing she’d managed to escape most of it due to her own schedule. “Yeah, it’s nice actually having new people around to get to know. Some fresh blood to shake things up.”

“I can’t believe you survived for this long without me. I thought for sure you’d get lost by this point,” she joked back. “Well, fear not, you have me now and forever,” she assured her friend, a bright smile across her lips. “What have you been up to without me?”

“It comes as a shock to me as well.” Scarlett laughed, returning the other girl’s smile. “Actually, I haven’t really been here.” The blonde admitted. “I’ve been out promoting the new film, I only got back a few days ago so it’s really good timing.” She told her with a smile. “What about you though? What brought you back?”

“Ask and you shall receive.” Micah grinned, holding her arms out beside her delicately. “I mean I did sort of just barge into your room on accident, but hey we could make do right?” The brunette shrugged as she took a few steps inside. “I’m Micah by the way.”

“Well I’m glad you did.” Scarlett smiled. “If you hadn’t of chosen the wrong room I may of died of boredom at some point.” She chuckled. “Nice to meet you Micah, I’m Scarlett.” She introduced. “Should we get the cliche questions out of the way first? What brought you to the house? Where are you from? What do you do for a living?” She listed off.

Sasha pressed her lips together as she thought about it, maybe that was the reason why they kept changing roommates. “That makes sense then. The good part about the shuffle of roommates is that if you end up with a friend and you guys fight, then that’s okay as well because it’s going to change anyways, thankfully.” She said, which was her case. If she was still sharing a room with Miles after their argument then she was sure that her life would be a living hell. “Sold. How much for the body?” Sasha teased, turning her head to look at her with a small smirk at the corner of her lips. She was unale to take her smile away from her lips as the blonde talked about her next movie and she nodded once she was done. “What is it called and what is it about? I’m very picky about movies, but i’ll give it a chance no matter what it is.” She promised, looking at her so she knew she meant it. “Sounds like a plan. I’m always free.” 

“That’s always a plus, unfortunately we can only escape to a certain extent. At the end of the day we’re still locked in a house with them and as big as this place is, there’s only so many rooms to hide in.” She sighed. “You can have it for the folding of four pairs of jeans and the hanging of three dresses.” Scarlett winked, pretending to give the number some serious consideration. “It’s called You Can Run, it’s a thriller/action about a young girl, in this case yours truly, who’s been placed in this small town in witness protection, so she runs the local bar but eventually her past catches up to her and she can’t hide from it any more.” She explained the outline of the movie to her trying not to give too much away. “I appreciate that.” She told her honestly, still a little nervous about what people would think of it, especially people she knew. “Great, I can’t wait.”

“I am paying you, with my love and attention.” he said despite her words. “Do you know how many people would love to be where you are right now? Many.” He teased with a grin in her direction. “And you don’t only fetch me stuff. We have fun too.”

Rolling her eyes in amusement as she walked away to grab the sunblock, Scarlett threw it at him as she returned. “Can you manage to put it on yourself at least, because that’s where I’m drawing the line.” She chuckled, flopping back down onto her chair. “Sometimes.” She agreed with a nod, “Guess I’m just questioning if the fun is worth it.” She joked.

“You don’t have to apologize. You’re not even the first person to make that mistake today and I’m sure you won’t be the last. It’s an easy one to make because I guess it kind of looks like we are dating,” Fiona explained with a shrug, knowing that it was far from the time and place to say how she really felt about that. Scarlett’s question came as a bit of surprise as Fiona thought it was obvious why her time with the boy would be cut short now that someone who meant so much to him had returned to the house. “Because you’re best friends and he loves spending time with you. Before I came along it’s what you guys did and the last thing that I’m trying to do is infringe on that.” She laughed at the blonde’s reaction to her mention of the nature of those interviews. “Now I feel like I’m definitely gonna have to spend a good portion of next weekend watching your interviews specifically to see if your annoyance with the questions is obvious in any of them.”

Nodding, Scarlett felt relieved she wasn’t the only one to make that mistake. The last thing she wanted to do was make things awkward. She understood why they hadn’t put a label on things, even though from everyone’s else point of view it sure seemed as though they were a couple. It was harder in the house when it came to relationships and she knew Ryan a little too well to think he’d be in any hurry to put a name to it. “So now instead of the two of us hanging around being lame, it’ll be three.” Scarlett shrugged as though it was no big deal, which to her it wasn’t. “If I get tired of being the third wheel I’ll force Dax to come with.” She chuckled. “I’m sure it’s a little obvious in quite a few, pretty sure at one point I even gave a pretty impressive eyeroll.”

“I doubt it. If you’ve been on it this long and you haven’t been kicked out, they must all like you.” Trinity said with a smile, a soft chuckle leaving her lips as well. The redhead wondered whether she’d be able to last as long as Scarlett had, but then brushed the thought away and refocused on her. “Oh wow, that’s awesome.” She praised with a grin before nodding. “I can imagine. At least it’s basically filming, sort of.” The girl laughed before pausing to think. “Around three weeks, a little longer maybe.”

“Or they like watching me make a fool out of myself, which happens more often than I like, the curse of the clumsy I guess.” Scarlett laughed, inwardly cringing as she thought of her many mishaps that had probably already been turned into memes for the whole world to enjoy. “Being locked in here does give me a lot of free time to perfect my lines, so there’s always a silver lining.” The blonde shrugged with a small smile. “Three weeks? No longer a newbie then.” She grinned. “Are you liking it?”

miles nods. he supposes he is happy. he’d always wanted a sibling, he’s just never imagined that finally having one would bring him so much joy. “i haven’t seen you in forever, i was starting to think you’d abandoned us little people.” he jokes, but the fondness of his smile is unmistakable and he allows a laugh moments later. “sounds like this place used to be a lot wilder in previous seasons, huh?”

“I thought about it.” Scarlett admitted with a teasing smile. “Finally rejoin the real world and all that, but let’s be honest my life has never been something that would be described as the real world to most, so might as well keep hanging around.” The blonde laughed softly. “Little people is a little bit of a stretch when it comes to you though, from what I’ve heard you killed it at fashion week babe.” She told him honestly. Thinking about the question for a second, the young girl eventually gave a small nod. “A little?” She said more in question. “A fuck load more drama that’s for sure, it’s been kind of nice actually, or maybe I’ve just been in my little bubble for too long and haven’t noticed it happening.”
