fake dating is one of my favorite tropes and it’s a crime there aren’t a lot in the scarian tag. as far as I could find, there is only one that’s completed and if you’ve searched for this before you’ve probably already seen it but I will recommend it!!

And act like you don’t even know, right at my face!” Grian closes his mouth with a click, breathless. His hands are sweaty and there’s an ache in his chest, hollowing out the space behind his ribs. Scar is still looking at him with those impossibly green eyes.

A man, blond hair, brown eyes, dressed in a navy colored suit.

No arm band. Grian pays him no mind, focusing his attention back to the people around them.

Scar told him to be on the lookout for anyone wearing a red arm band, and so far Grian hasn’t seen anything.

Fair warning for the series, it does contain mumscarian, so if you’re not a fan of that I wouldn’t read the whole series, however all the fics I linked in this post are strictly scarian! But if you don’t mind I would definitely read all the works!! They are just so well written omg I could go on and on. The moment is perfect. He feels warm and Grian is trembling softly against him. It’s just them, together, so close. All he has to do is get the ring.

He hesitates.

Jellie scratches Scar’s leg.

Grian starts laughing as Scar groans against him in pain, all while Jellie whines for attention, already drawing back her paw for another attack.

When Scar spent days tracking Grian down and helping him escape the cruel grasp of the Watchers, Grian thought his life couldn’t surprise him anymore. Pledging his life to serve Scar was all he could do to thank his King.

Of course, being the personal servant of the King comes with its' own risks - and now Grian could add ‘hostage’ to his list of titles.

"I—do what?" Scar raises an eyebrow at him and tucks a strand of hair behind his pointed ear.

"You're being nice," Scar says, discarding a blue fabric. Grian privately agrees, it's gaudy. "And it's sweet, really, but I'm okay."

"Scar, that's not—" Grian shakes his head. "That's ridiculous! I'm not just being nice!"

Scar looks up at him from where he's folded on the floor, grasping at velvet, and he suddenly looks very small and very tired.

"Sure," he says, and the tone makes Grian bristle, despite himself.

"Scar," he says, trying to keep calm. "Why would I do that? When have I ever been nice to anyone just for the sake of it? You're my friend—scratch that, you're our friend!" Scar huffs a little laugh and Grian watches him, helpless. "I—where is this coming from, man?"

Scar returns to Hermitcraft as the only one to fully remember the experience of Third Life and Last Life with no magic able to sooth the rough edges of it. Even Grian, tied close to the gamemakers, remembered it like an echo of someone that wasn't him playing the game, and helped wipe most of the event from the others' mind upon request. Too bad Scar was a very special boy who's magic refused to let that settle in. He's perfectly okay though! No side effects from that whatsoever. The panic and fear were temporary, so there was no need to let anyone know about that slight issue. Now if he could only give himself a haircut so no one could have a handhold on him, that would be nice.

If you’re looking for something specific, or based around a certain topic, feel free to send an ask or look through the tags here!

I like to tag the authors of fics I recommend so my followers can check them out, but if you’ve been tagged and would like to be untagged just shoot me a message!! I can do that for you :]

Please keep in mind that I am only one person and it might take me a bit to find what you’re looking for if it’s specific.
