Help Ghada and his family among the Gaza genocide!
vetted by @gazavetters, GFM is #6 on the spreadsheet
I've spoken to Ghada many times before about him and his family currently surviving in Gaza. In particular, we've spoken about Iman, a young girl with osteoporosis who desperately needed mobility aids to get around without significant pain and injury. As Ghada put it,
Unfortunately, this is the reality in war and destruction - personal items are so easily lost and destroyed as Israel continues their genocide. For a child so young to have lost so much, even her mobility, is devastating, but you can help them buy young Iman another device to help her regain some small semblance of independence and pain relief in this difficult, difficult time.
Ghada's family and community is also suffering from immense hunger as aid continues to be shut out from Gaza. Food is expensive and dangerous to come by. You can help them feed themselves, too, with even just a few dollars towards their GoFundMe.
Any amount helps. Thank you!

the fact it's mainstream imperial core narrative is inhumane. it's confirmed that MILLIONS of soviets DIED because of hawkish capitalist policies which were implemented after ussr fall. gorbachev should be remembered as complicit party in this, i will not be afraid to say, genocide.

also wrt the last post on US soldiers, i don't think americans are uniquely evil (i feel like i say this a lot abt everyone) but rather that the US is uniquely powerful and has a pretty evil foreign policy record and having a professional army instead of mandatory conscription does put the spotlight on the moral decisions of individual soldiers, doubly so due to american exceptionalism stressing concepts of freedom and individualism.
but i think impoverished people across the world, and people with mandatory conscription too (like israel or egypt) are also liable for the crimes their militaries order them to commit. just following orders is the nazi defense, after all. in some cases it isn't really relevant to get into the individual psyches of soldiers but rather to understand their positions as colonial or counterrevolutionary forces. im saying this because the past week in egypt has really reminded me how defensive egyptians get of their military and their soldiers even when they themselves are the target. and frankly this defensiveness is pointless. at the end of the day, you understand what you're being asked to do and what you're doing and either you pay the price or someone else does. but to do it and also demand to be guiltless and to have nobody else comment on this guilt is just unfettered nationalism.
anyway overall i think its good for americans to foster a popular culture that knows their military is full of war criminals in order to create a stigma for joining while it continues to be a professional military, and also to create an understanding with how the rest of the world sees it. from the age of 7 or 8 i associated the american flag with imperial violence bc of the invasion of iraq. i still find it a symbol of violence and oppression and i think less of people who proudly wear it. and thats bc of where im from and what america did, and i don't expect everyone to understand it, but i think it's good for more people to at least know that this is how its seen and why.

Can people understand that’s i’m like them I don’t get donations and not the one who make people donate…
Sometimes I feel I’m going crazy because of what’s happening and overthinking stressing about my brother and my responsibilities
Every time i say i want to stop sharing and helping i go back and a lot of scammers even people of gaza some of them are scamming and do more than one campaign.
I’m sorry for anyone I didn’t respond to and shared i have been doing that for one year
I’m not good at speaking and speak out how i feel and what i think.
Tumblr is a family for me .. I still need your help for my brother because isarel weaponized hunger against the people of gaza you need fortune to buy some food like canned food if you found it and there’s no flour.

I think Fallen London for all its flaws handles queerness in games in quite a brilliant way, like the player isn’t going to experience homophobia or bigotry but at the same time the game is still set in alternate 1899 (it’s 1899 forever) (the Empress says so) so like, gay and polyamorous marriage are legal and women have full rights and you can choose your pronouns title appearance and outfits independently from each other but every now and then someone will be scandalized that a woman is voting for an alien insect demon instead of a sexy mummy or that you’re going to church without your three non-binary wifehusbands

It’s shit being a superhero when you know that the multiverse exists. You spend all day saving people, you’re tired, you want to go to bed, and right before you fall asleep someone says “The High Evolutionary is going to turn everyone on earth into a werewolf!” and every bone in your body says “Fucking. Maybe we can be the werewolf dimension. The Universe Where Everyone Is A Werewolf. There are infinite dimensions where everyone isn’t a werewolf. It could be fine. It could be good even.”
And you fight the High Evolutionary and you win and your world isn’t the Werewolf Dimension. But the thought was there. God the thought was there
