The Lord without Whom all Thought would be linear and all Feeling would be fleeting, Lord of the Creative and Lord of the Deranged, or simply Sheogorath has finally found a place as mad as the Shivering Isles: Tumblr! Brilliant! Come on in, mortal, you'll be "safe" as long as this is fun. And just so you know, Haskill and Valaste are around as well.

Lord Tharn, what do you use to keep your hair in such impeccable order at all times? I've noticed that no matter how much running, fighting, wind, smoke, humidity, fluctuating magicka fields and even daedric influence you put your magnificent silver mane through, it remains not only clean and silky but somehow perfectly untangled and in place. If you weren't so pleasant to look at I'd be almost violently jealous.
It's not that big of a secret: Mudcrab chitin distillate works miracles if you need anything organic to hold together and preferably stay in place. So if your hair is about to get a rough treatment, mix a few spoonfuls into your shampoo.
It's also going to render all those "repair damaged hair" alchemical treatments null and void. Save your money, don't bother applying any until you've washed that mudcrab stuff out.
Fun fact: If by some accident someone explodes a mudcrab into gooey paste and it gets on your hair and skin, it's going to have the same effect. And it's going to smell much worse.

Dear uncle,
how to deal with summer heatwaves? For legal reasons, frost stronachs are not an option :(
Summon them anyway, and don't get caught. Or, alternatively, treat yourself to some concoctions that would make you more susceptible to frost and go fiddle with Destruction spells.

Hello Lord Sheogorath, long time no see!
I know you've been super busy, but I just wanted to mark the day. It's not a Sundas, but it's the 14th June and The Sundas Anon tradition is 4 years old (even if I haven't sent an ask on a Sundas in a while.)
I send you all of my best wishes! Have an excellent day and take good care of yourself!
I will pour one out in your honor, my friend!!

Hello My Lord Sheogorath! It's a Tuesday! Hope you're having a good day.
How was your week? Did you have a good one?
Varen doesn't seem so adverse to the idea of you including him in a play. Not sure how Lord Tharn would react to it though.
You received an ask about fishing hats earlier. What makes them so underrated in your opinion?
September (Hearthfire) has started, and with it the hope of cooler days. Do you have anything planned for autumn?
As every week and every ask, I send you my best blessings. May this week bring you, your loved ones, and all you care for loads of happiness, cosiness, and fun.
Have an excellent day My Lord, and take good care of yourself!
Hello, my friend!
The week passed and won't be missed. Summer vacation is over for my favorite mortals so they are either grumpy, exhausted from their summery passionate exertions, or just looking forward to get drunk and consume other substances... It's the seasonal flavor, so to say. Post-vacation melancholy. A classic. I have my hands full.
Ah, yes. You see I'd love to see Abnur immortalized in a play or a novel or a poem or a song or whatever, but I cannot do it myself. I mostly write satire, and I wouldn't do that to my beloved.
Fishing hats? Are you kidding? Why settle for fishing a boring fish when you may fish a dandy hat instead? Free hat! As though why would a hat be fished in the first place, I don't know. I'm not the Prince of the things that go bump in the sea.
The plans for Autumn are: 1) Presiding over the court at New Sheoth; 2) Visit Mirabelle and Valaste more often (I got one warning from my daughter and that's all I'll get); 3) Find something to steal; 4) The usual Tharn-Aquilarios family business. What about yours? Anything special in mind? I hear that fall is the favored season for a lot of mortals. Is it yours as well?
Thank you for your blessings, Sundas Anon. I hope that last week has been a good one to you and your loved ones, and that the one ahead will be so as well. Take good care! :3

Hello Lord Sheogorath! It's Monday! (So the closest to Sunday these asks have been for a while.)
How has your week been?
Is Sundas Isle in Mania, Dementia, or Both?
If you're waiting for a new Emperor aside Varen to create your next play, that might take a while. As for a star, aren't there any actors in the Isles lately? They fancy themselves tortured souls after all.
By the way, didn't you kidnap... I mean... rescue a set of twins at some point a year ago? what happened to them? Did someone adopt them?
As every time I send you my blessings for the days to come. may they bring tons of happiness, fun, and laughter to you, your loved ones, and all you care for. Have an awesome day, and take good care of yourself my Lord.
PS: The "my Lord"... might be a "a friendly epithet" yes. -sheepish-
Hello, Sundas Anon!
Sundas Isle is split between Mania and Dementia. Everyone deserves fancy clothes, no matter which side they live in.
Look, I could write a play about Varen, theoretically speaking, but it's family, you see... I don't think it will be very well received at home, no matter the direction it takes. I'd rather save myself the trouble. Besides, I'm a Daedric Prince. I can wait for all eternity if needed. There are plenty of actors in the Isles, by the way. It would seem that a lot of them end up here. But I want a new face! Raw, unpolished talent! Like an uncut gem. Cut them good, cut them nice, cut them to perfection!
Ah, yes the twins! We found a very kind family in Cheydinhal that took them as their own.
Thank you so much for your blessings, friend! I hope you and your loved ones are having a good week! Take good care, Sundas Anon :3

Hello Lord Sheogorath and happy.. -searches for a calendar and squints at it tiredly- Thursday. Alright then.
I'm too sleep deprived to know if it's a joke, or you actually have a Sundas isles somewhere. If you do, permanent finest clothes don't seem the most comfortable of ideas.
The Library of Arkthzand void anomalies were from the Vampire situation in Skyrim if I remember well? They might still linger even with that particular mess corrected.
I had completely forgotten that you were into Theater. You'd think I'd remember the production you made for the Vestige. Have you tried other plays? Do you have a favourite play?
As always, and as every week, no matter the day, I send you my best wishes for the days to come. May they bring you, all you care for, and your loved ones loads of joy, fun, an laughter.
Have a great day and take good care of yourself. PS: It took me a moment to understand why you told me not to be so formal. It was actually You see, I meant "My Lord" wasn't meant as That wasn't formal
After some deliberation, I'll simply say it was an unintended slip of the tongue, in writing form. Sorry about that.
Hello, Sundas Anon! Happy Today!!!
I do have a Sundas Isle, yes, and people there wear their finest Sundas clothes every day. They have to suffer for fashion, or so they say...
In the end I took a stroll around the library and your intel was correct. A few anomalies still remain. It was amusing. Certainly added mood lighting to the natural mood lighting. I should show it to Abnur one day.
Ah! The production I made for the Vestige! That was so much fun. But lately I've been thinking about changing style. A bit. You see, that play was all about social criticism. Well, sort of. I want something bigger. Grander. I want a good old fashioned tramedy focused on some Very Important mortal figure. Hmm. An Emperor, for example. But which one? I have no idea! My masterpiece requires an Emperor for the script and a star for the lead role. I can be patient.
Wait - I get it now! The my Lord part was a friendly epithet. Oh, do carry on then, my apologies! I take it back and don't be sorry.
Thank you for your kind blessings, Sundas Anon! I wish the same to you and your loved ones. May this week bring you joy. Take good care :3

Hello Lord Sheogorath! And happy Wednesday. Again. In my job, we tend to joke that it's always morning somewhere (due to how often time zones and lack of sleep make us use "good morning" by mistake even in the middle of the afternoon). I'm going to start saying it's always Sunday somewhere. Maybe not in this timeline or universe, but somewhere. That's my excuse.
The Library of Arkthzand? The Dwemer library with the glowy mushrooms around it and the void anomalies? That'd be quite the project if you made a miniature of that!
I've never been very good with refusing temptation when it comes to food and beverage, but if I ever find the drink you talked about, I'll do my best not to drink it. Maybe Valaste and Mirabelle could add some "safe for mortals" substitutes next to the original recipe? For instance, for your cocktail, the azure plasm could be substituted by curaçao if you want to keep the color. If the taste is more important... well I have no idea what azure plasm tastes like so I can't give an example there..
Given we're talking about cultural/typical things from Oblivion realms, I thought we could continue in the same line: Are there any typical activities or hobbies or games from the Shivering Isles?
As every week I wish you the best to come! May it bring you, your loved ones, and all you care for loads of fun, joy, and good times.
Take good care of yourself My Lord, and have a great week!
Hello, Sundas Anon!
It's always Sundas on Sundas Isle, indeed. People there always wear their finest clothes, I assure you.
The very same Library of Arkthzand. Glowy mushrooms, yes. Void anomalies? I don't remember that. It has been some years since my last visit. How very interesting. I suppose some fabled adventurer has taken care of that? Or is on their way to take care of that? Do you think they are still there? Oh, I know where I want to go next weekend!
Safe for mortals substitutes sounds like a good idea, yes. It could help maximize sales. Both mortals and Daedra could make use of the recipes! I'll be sure to tell Valaste. She is the only one that can convince Mirabelle to make that adittion.
Most of the games and activities the citizens of the Shivering Isles enjoy are quite similar to the ones you'd find on Nirn. Chess, cards, Manors and Monsters, sports... However, the details and rules might be slightly different depending on a wide array of circumstances of personal, temporal and astral nature. No use fetching the rulebook, if you know what I mean. Another typical thing is musical performances. And theater! Oh I love that!
Thank you so much for your kind wishes - and don't be so formal, my friend! I hope you and your loved ones are having a good week! Take good care :3

Hello Lord Sheogorath and Happy... -sighs- it's Wednesday. I have to thank you for telling me that I'd always be Sundas Anon no matter the day I write. It... really made me smile. (And reassured me. Because it sadly may become a recurring occurrence)
Miniatures sound like a lovely hobby! It can both recreate and create places. It'd certainly keep you busy! I think if I've ever tried to make a miniature I'd make a flower shop, or a book shop. Some place cosy and warm but with tons of details to add.
Oh, now I really would love to read that book. Are they looking for all types or recipes, or only ones that can be consumed by mortals safely?
That drink you mentioned sounds really... Blue. I'm guessing not everyone can drink it? The quiche sounds lovely, and something I'd gladly try and bake. Are there any other realm's recipes that you like? For instance, is there any good dishes from Apocrypha?
As always, I send you my best of wishes for the week to come. May it bring you, your loved ones and all you care for loads of joy, laughter, and good fun!
Have an excellent day and take good care of yourself!
Hello, Sundas Anon!
Don't worry your pretty little head, you may write to me whenever you feel like. I get that you are a very busy Earthling! You see, I'm a very busy Prince myself, so I can relate.
A miniature shop, eh? Books, flowers...Yes. Sounds good to me. Ohhh, what about a curio shop? A Thieves' Guild treasure hoard. No. No, no! Wait! I got it! The Library of Arkthzand, with soul gem powered effects!
About Mirabelle and Valaste's book, they are looking for all types of recipes. If they manage to publish it, mortals should be very careful with it. Still, some of the ingredients should be a dead giveaway. Like the contents of the drink I mentioned. It's not safe for mortals, no matter how mesmerizing the shiny blue hues might feel to you. Just don't listen to it.
If you ever bake that quiche, let me know! I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Hmm... Food from Apocrypha. The barnacles are quite good, actually. Boil them for a couple of minutes and eat away. Soft and salty and yummy. I like them with plum brandy, but that one I brought myself.
Thank you so much for your blessings! I hope that you and your loved ones have had a pleasant week, and that the one that just started may be a good one! You too take good care :3

Hello Lord Sheogorath and happy... -checks the day- ... -checks the day again- well, it's Tuesday. I admit I was too tired on Sunday to attempt writing. And then my job sometimes gives me the impression of time travelling as I started my work day on Monday early morning, worked 11 hours, and arrived back home at noon on Tuesday. All that to say, it's not much of an excuse but, that's the reason I'm so late. Sorry!
You said you were in need of amusement last week (I hope this week went better), have you thought of maybe trying a new hobby? Maybe something creative?
Oh! Whenever they "publish" the book, I'd love to read that! Old pastries recipes sound extremely interesting. Will they also add Oblivion realms recipes? Those could be fun.
Speaking of recipes, do you have any favourite ones from your own realm? Not just pastries, general ones too.
I'll keep this ask short this week and will move on to my usual "blessings": I send you all of my best of wishes for the week to come. May it bring you, your loved ones and all you care for loads of joy, laughter, and good fun!
Have an excellent day, and take good care of yourself Lord Sheogorath.
Hello!
I met you on a Sundas, you are still Sundas Anon in my heart no matter the day of the week we write to each other. No need to apologize, it's always good to hear from you!
A hobby? Hmm. Something creative... Perhaps... Miniatures. Manors, vessels... No alteration magic allowed. No shortcuts this time. No real people.
I wish I could send you a copy of the book. If only there was a way to do that... And yes! Mirabelle and Valaste are, at the moment, in the middle of some diplomatic quest to gather recipes from other realms. Everyone is very zealous of their little secrets, and that includes culinary ones.
Favorite recipes... Let me think. My special nightshade cocktail with a pinch of skooma and a lick of azure plasm comes to mind. And for more solid stuff, I'd go for a quiche of cheese, apple and onion, with the best crust you could ever hope for. Although perhaps this is not exactly from the Shivering Isles, now that I come to think of it. Mirabelle's mother brought this recipe here, and we adopted it as our own. It just stuck, you know?
Thank you so much for your blessings! I hope you and your loved ones had a good week and that the one that just started will be packed with joy and fun! Take care! :3

Hello Lord Sheogorath and happy (very, very, very early) Sunday. And I mean Early, it's before 1am.
How are you, and how did the week go?
Oh I wasn't really wondering if you had visited the assassins for Business (I hadn't thought of the black sacrement... would Sithis be angry if you tried?). You could have just... popped by and visited.
Speaking of Mirabelle, what has she been up to?
It'd be tempting (if it were possible) to send some of our technology to Nirn, just to see Mora's reaction to it. Though I shudder at what he would do if he ever got access to internet.
I'm glad the general is doing better, though t sounds like he has quite the task on his hands. Also, if that's "just another day"... I'm hoping the people working at the White Gold Tower are well paid; just for having to deal with the sheer oddity of it all.
Not to change tradition, I wish you the best for the week to come! May it give you, your loved ones, and all you care for lots of good times, good fun, and happiness!
Take care of yourself and have a great Sunday!
Hello, Sundas Anon!!
I am... Restless. I crave a a distraction. Something to do. But... What to do? I need amusement!!
Otherwise I suppose I am.
Truth be told, I fail to see the erotic or intellectual appeal of soggy caves. I get how others might, but I just don't see it. So no, no popping anywhere near the Brotherhood hideout anytime soon.
Mirabelle? She is writing a recipe book along with Valaste! They are travelling Nirn in search of all pastry recipes. The more ancient, the better.
Oh, don't worry about the staff at the White Gold Tower. They are more than adequately compensated for their service. And, as far as rumor has it, the General treats his men quite well. He is strict. Very strict. Rigid. As though he had a staff up his... rear. But he has a reputation for integrity.
Thank you so much for your kind wishes! I trust that your week has been a nice one and that the coming one will be packed with all the good things for you and your loved ones! Take good care, Sundas Anon! :3

Hello Lord Sheogorath and happy not-Sunday!
A little bird told me I should delay this one by a day, and who am I to deny little birds?
Did you have a good time in the Gold Coast? Visited a certain group of assassins while you were there?
The atronachs... totally do not sound like they are in pain at all, indeed. Joyful tears I'm sure...
How did you come upon the name "Edrien" then? Sounded nice, or did you know someone with that name?
Uh, I wonder if Mora is ever confused by whatever managed to drift to Oblivion from Earth then. Without context some things might be really difficult to identify. Sure most of the technology probably wouldn't survive the trip but that makes it worse; can't even turn the object on to check what it does.
How is your General going by the way? Still recovering from the goat incident? Was the family hike ever organised?
Ah. I realise this is a Lot of questions and different topics, sorry. I'll move on to my usual blessings. I wish you the absolute best for the week to come. May it give you, your loved ones, and all you care for loads of great fun, good times, and loads of happiness.
Take good care of yourself and have a great day!
Hello, Sundas Anon!
It's always a good idea to listen closely to what little birds might say!
No assassin entanglements, no. I was there for pleasure, not business. Besides, I don't think performing the Black Sacrament would work for me the way it works for regular mortals.
Edrien... Oh that name has history. It was the name I assumed when I courted Mirabelle's mother, centuries ago. I just thought that it had a nice ring to it. Edrien.
Oh, Mora would love playing with your little toys, trying to unravel their little mysteries... Like a child on Saturnalia, I tell you. Nothing would make him happier than to get his inky tentacles all over some of the contraptions you Earthlings have come up with.
About the General... He is doing much better now! And he has a charge of sorts. He has been tasked with the challenging assignment of bringing Count Aquilarios' eldest son to heel, show him the ropes. The kid can be difficult, or so I'm told. A bit of a rebel. A match made in Oblivion, those two. On his first day, Octavian broke the young lordling's nose for insulting his betrothed. Then the kid spent several days in the nude because he refused to wear the armor provided by the General. So, you see, it's all good fun. Just another day in the White Gold Tower.
Thank you for your kind wishes! I hope that your week, and your loved ones' week has been a good one! Take good care :3
