MOVING (slowly)

I’ve made the decision to create a multimuse where it’ll be easier to give all of my muses more attention! While I’m sad to leave behind this url as I’m very attached to it, I think this move will be beneficial overall.

I will still be active on here and replying to threads for the time being, but over the next few weeks my activity will be shifting over to my other blog completely. I have already set up her page, so I would ideally like new interactions to begin over there.

                The ship she was travelling on had been running low on fresh water and supplies, and so the decision was made to anchor on an island in hopes of restocking. While in the midst of exploring on her own, she couldn’t help but check the vivre card of someone important to her once more, the action becoming an restless habit as of late.

                Her focus shifted when she sensed someone within the radius of her haki. Their presence was not familiar to her so she ruled out the revolutionaries she was travelling with. With that realization, she swiftly headed directly for the stranger, almost silent on her feet. 

                Akane halted, crouched on a tree branch when the figure came into view. “And you are?” She stated blunt, and to the point. While she’d rather avoid getting into confrontations, she couldn’t help but worry for her crew if there were others lurking about in the otherwise uninhabited island. She’d rather learn sooner than later if she would be dealing with hostiles.

          🕷The feeling was mutual on the turn of events but at least Layla could be lighthearted about it. There wasn’t shock that a soldier of the Revolutionary army was so high strung. Layla wasn’t a stranger to such attitude however, it was an everyday occurrence to her. Not that business was a laughable thing, well; it could be. Depending on the situations.

            “Oooo, so cold~ I mostly have question on the contraband. Marketing, manufacturing, trading and sale. If I can get that information out of them then I see no reason. Though….we might have issues if there’s been crossed lines. When it comes to double sales and scalping, we frown upon such actions. Death is the only option and then I’ll go from there. I’m not fond of headaches and if it gets past me to the top …. well…. we’ll ALL be having a bad day.” Layla was at least honest on that part; it wasn’t as if who she was lost on anyone. She pulled some very interwoven threads for a very powerful man.

            The less problems she brought back to the business table the better. Not that the Revolutionary army was going to just turn their backs on what was happening for sure, but they made it a point in their business to keep a clean bill. This was not that or at least she’d hoped not. Last thing she wanted was getting on their bad side and the ginger didn’t look like a fun person to fight. As curious as she made her. 🕷

                 Akane absorbed the information the other had chosen to freely give her. Though it was not her business, she did find it quite interesting to learn about what the former Warlord was up to, if even in a vague sense. It somehow did not surprise her that he was not only involved in trafficking goods, but enforcing territorial lines as well.

                “If you’re here to just perform an interrogation, then I suppose I’ll be causing the bigger issue then.” She looked over to the other woman, “I’ll tell you what-- What’s your name? You can tie them down and keep them busy with your questions while I do my work. The base being destroyed should favour both of us regardless. Whether you kill them or not is not something I’ll get involved in.” While this was not her ideal situation, she would work with what she had. She supposed that an extra hand could only help, even if she didn’t fully know or trust the other.

                Akane looked away from the woman, facing ahead as they soon reached what looked to be a small, but guarded fort. It must have been used for other purposes in the distant past, but was lost to the forest with time.

Chopper was a bit reassured by her words, a smile returning to his face before he was cursed with the title of raccoon. Such words were part of the reason for his humiliating bounty and the lack of reputation beside his friends. Huffing in irritation, the boy turned his head away.

“Not a raccoon! I’m a reindeer!” He replied defensively, still not bothering to make eye contact with this pirate.

                Oh my, it would seem that even when he was upset he was still adorable. Though an amused giggle wanted to escape her, she withheld it as to not further upset him

                “It would seem so!” She exclaimed. “I thought the antlers were part of the hat...” As she continued to observe the small reindeer, she recalled stories of minks that had travelled with the Whitebeard Pirates. The reindeer infront of her seemed to fit the bill, so she figured that’s what he was.

[ ✖ ] – Akane could already tell that this would not be the smoothest of experiences. She did prefer to take these kinds of things more seriously, especially when she had a large responsibility to take care of the issue. The Revolutionaries had sent her to take care of an issue regarding illegal trade that was disturbing an island’s peace, a group of bandits taking up shop and using the location as a base of operations. 

            “Well, whatever. Do what you want, as long as you don’t get in my way.” She could only imagine what Crocodile’s crew’s connection was to these guys. Whether they had been on good terms or not before this was none of her business, even if she was a tad curious on why they were involved at all.

            She began to walk up a path that was obscured by the flora of the jungle, “I will be destroying this base. If you have a bone to pick with the bandits themselves, I’ll leave that up to you.”

        🕷Layla had her moments and in the middle of that heated battle of the best there wasn’t one person that really had their head on straight. She was lucky to get out of there alive not that her father would let her parish. At least he tried to clean up the mess he made but it left premiant scars on the spiders body. She didn’t hide them though but at least they had healed nicely thanks to the medicine and extra ‘doctor’ when at Amazon Lily. 

            The blunt affirmation wasn’t lost on her. It wasn’t like one pirate could straight up trust another. There was also the matter that her own Captain tried to pick a fight with her late Captain. Rest his soul. 

            “You think I’m in the business of trust? I think we both know exactly where my crew draws the line in the sand. Literally.” Layla couldn’t help but laugh at her own little joke before shaking her head. Her jewelry as loud and bold as she was. 

             “My offer still stands and honestly; I think the pay out will benefit us both. Who loses from that type of brake even?”  🕷
