Excuse me but your post is rather hurtful for those people who like and keep tarantulas ):
I mean I have many tarantulas and love them to bits. I don't think I am "screwed up" or anything like that.
If you don't like tarantulas (or spiders in general) that's your personal preference and relateable. You don't need to understand why someone would like spiders, of course. It would just be nice if you did not consider those peoples behaviour as "not normal".
Okay, so I will never be able to understand people who own a pet tarantulas…
Like you are willingly bringing a huge spider into your home and you name it and feed it and take care of it and love it and shit….
How screwed up do you have to be to get to the point where you’re like
"i think I wanna get a pet… wait, I KNOW I’ll get an arachnid that looks like it crawled out of the 8th circle of hell.”
I fear these people.

HeeeEEY!! Sorry for not sticking around for a while, I hope all of you had a successful start into the new year as well as peaceful holidays!
Thing is, I was visiting some friends and nothing really important happened, so there simply wasn't anything to post about.
No big news, P. cancerides and B. auratum moulted while I was away, as well as the Pumpkin Patch which did so last night.

The cancerides is quite pretty now, imo.

And SOMEHOW I screwed up (A LOT...) and shattered a glass wall of the sweet P. muticus' terrarium...? I'm not sure how that happened. I remember falling asleep sitting next to it and next thing I know is waking up with a start and that my head hurt. It still hurts. I might not even want to know... The tarantula however is doing very well and will soon be relocated into a new proper enclosure. It was an impressive sight, though...

Be a better tarantula keeper than I am.

deamhan hat gesagt:ahaha i see. my bad!! i always wanted a spider skin for a very long time. sorry for asking mate. but i like your blog though, loving the spiders!! such cute wee things. very sad they get a bad image set about them. such fantastic animals!!
No worries!! I am pretty sure there are people who sell those, though! I don't really know any english e-commerce sites but I think I heard of people selling exuviae on Etsy and the like...? O:
Thanks a lot!! They certainly are wonderful... by far my favourite animals (':

deamhan hat gesagt:do you keep the skin after they shed them? idk i would ahahha. maybe you can sell them? i know i would buy tbh.
Yeah, I do! (: I keep and collect them for... sentimental reasons, I guess? :'D It's always nice to compare and see how much they've grown. Therefore sorry, not interested in selling >: Sometimes I'm not even able to get their exuviae because they lay somewhere I can't reach them or got chewed on and torn into pieces, haha...
