Look, I know not everyone celebrates fictional heroes like they're real, but today is Superman Day, and I’m not even pretending to be chill about it
I grew up looking up to this guy.. the guy. Truth, justice, hope… all that stuff? It meant something to me. Still does!! There’s just something comforting about a hero who chooses kindness and strength at the same time.
So yeah, I’m wearing my Superman socks, maybe planning on a superman marathon with friends later, and absolutely pretending I can lift a car with my mind.. Let me have this.
Happy Superman Day to anyone else out there who needed a little hope with a cape today! ^_^

I don’t know when it became cool to act like Superman is some kind of looming, godlike threat to humanity, but I’m really over it. The guy literally stands for hope. He saves people. He believes in the best of humanity, even when humanity definitely doesn’t deserve it. But for some reason, every modern take wants to make him into this brooding, borderline-tyrannical figure, like we just can’t accept a hero who’s genuinely good.
And look, I get it. He’s powerful. He’s basically unstoppable. But that’s not the point. The whole reason Superman works as a character is because he has all this power and chooses to use it for good. He doesn’t have to. He could rule the planet if he wanted. But he doesn’t. Because he was raised by decent people who taught him to care.
This is why I’m hyped for the James Gunn's Superman movie, we don’t need another take where he’s one bad day away from snapping. We need a Superman who actually inspires people again.

It’s 1AM, and instead of sleeping like a normal person, I’m lying here thinking about the concept of "cool."
Like, objectively speaking, I know what society considers cool; leather jackets, motorcycles, people who can flip a chair around and sit on it like it’s no big deal. But why isn’t knowing things cool? Why isn’t being able to name all the Green Lanterns from memory considered impressive? Why does playing the cello make me "quirky" instead of mysterious and brooding?
Uh I'll try going back to bed now.

Do you think you could survive a werewolf attack and if so please give advice asap
Ookay. First things first, why do you need this information ASAP? Should I be concerned?
Second, no, I don't think I could survive a werewolf attack if we're being honest. I’m pretty sure my survival instincts top out at 'mildly inconvenient situations,' and a werewolf is waay past that..
But if you’re actually dealing with one (which again, why??), my best advice is: run. Or, if running isn’t an option, silver is supposed to work, so maybe find some jewelry and start swinging? Either way, good luck. And maybe, I don’t know, stay indoors next full moon?

Thank goodness my friends aren’t on here. Not that I post anything that bad, but let’s just say I enjoy the freedom of knowing no one I see on a daily basis is going to bring up my blog at dinner.
But, if you do know me in real life and you’re reading this… no, you’re not. Log out. Now.

scientist guy why is my microwave making a weird noise. explain
Okay, first of all, I don’t think experimental physicists are the people to ask about mysterious microwave noises.
But I can give you some general advice. Microwaves aren’t silent, but if it suddenly sounds weird, like buzzing, grinding, it could be a few things. Maybe the turntable’s stuck, the fan’s acting up, or something inside is just… not happy. If it’s really bad, might be time to call someone who actually knows what they’re doing before it becomes a bigger problem.

I fixed something today. Like, actually fixed it. With tools. And no injuries.
The towel rack in the bathroom broke (not naming names, but let’s just say enthusiasm was involved), and instead of calling maintenance or just pretending it wasn’t my problem, I grabbed a screwdriver and handled it myself. Took me.. way longer than it should have, but that’s not the point. The point is, I did it. A fully functioning towel rack, held up by my own two hands!! (and also screws, but still).
I don’t know why I feel so accomplished. Maybe because certain people in my life like to remind me that I’m not exactly "handy." But guess what? I am now the proud owner of a stable, reliable towel rack.

AITA for Leaving a Sick Friend with Someone Else?
Okay, so this happened a long time ago, but for some reason, it popped into my head again, and now it's bugging me out
So once upon a time, my roommate got sick. And when my roommate gets sick, he turns into an unbearable, demanding nightmare. My friends and I had been through this before, and we knew exactly what was coming, so instead of dealing with that, my friends and I, uh, removed ourselves from the situation. Quickly. We may or may not have gone to a movie. And we may or may not have left the responsibility to someone else. Someone completely unprepared.
At the time, I thought it was self-preservation. But now, years later, I’m wondering, was that kind of a jerk move? Or was it a reasonable escape from a truly unbearable situation?

So, you know that feeling when you spend weeks setting up an experiment, triple-check every variable, and then… nothing? Just a big, fat nothing. No groundbreaking discovery. No tiny, exciting anomaly. Just a perfect confirmation of what we already knew.
..Which is great! Science is about proving and refining theories, even when it means proving what we expected. But would it kill the universe to surprise me once in a while? Just a little? Like, “Hey Leonard, here’s a brand-new particle. Name it after yourself.”

Hey, welcome.
I figured I should have some kind of introduction here, but honestly, I don’t know what to say. I’m Leonard. I’m a physicist, I like comics. I have a roommate who tests the limits of my patience daily, but it’s fine. Everything’s fine.
Anyway, stick around if you want. Or don’t. No pressure. (Unless you’re my roommate. In which case, I’m sure I’ll hear about this post/blog in great detail.)
Leonard's Log - Rambles, thoughts, the works.
The Answer is 42 - Questions I get from the inbox
// this plays out like if leonard actually had a blog in-universe, i haven't decided on a specific time period/season yet.
i am not smart big brained experimental physicist like him guys.. quick heads up 🙏
if you want to make a bbt rp blog too I am encouraging it!! need someone to talk to hehe
main blog is @hofstadt3r (wow)
