and while i’m on this topic of non kpop things. i watched star vs the forces of evil for the first time today. binged up until mid second season bc i was having a really bad day, and MAN did that shit work 😭

i feel like writing angst. should i write angst? i’m gonna write angst

so i read a portion of beomgyu’s weverse mag article for beom’edio, and let me tell you. there were tears. a lot of them. as there always is whenever i read txt’s weverse articles, because it’s like, wow. i really do love this group of wonderful, real people don’t i? which is why i have to really pace myself with reading them bc it feels much too real and overwhelming lmao (empath rizz)

but this portion that i came across on tiktok was when he was asked what he wants to preserve through his music. he talks about how he feels like he’s felt he’s missed out on so many things while devoting himself to his work. and how it hurts him to know that, with his parents, with his friends, being in Seoul for so long, he’s missed out on so much. and it shook me. it really did. for a number of reasons.

firstly, because, atleast as far as my very limited understanding of him in reality is, at his core, he has always been this person who cares very deeply about people. he always tries to observant of them and considerate of them without necessarily openly expressing that he is. and so it must have really hurt him to realise he could have done more. obviously it isn’t necessarily his fault, since he does have a demanding, restrictive job that takes him to all sorts of places most of the time. but i get that. i get that feeling of “yes. yes i was busy but in spite of it all i should have done more”.

secondly, because this is exactly the transition he’ll go through in from me to you. a huge spoiler, but what the heck. i wrote, and have been preparing for this project since,,, I think May? of last year. it was mostly based off the fact that i had been thinking maybe he was feeling like this (i can’t rmr why), but the fact that he actually was is startling ngl 💀. like, wdym this was not just a well educated guess based off a guy I only see in pieces of media where he’s mostly acting a fool? 😭

but he has grown and i feel like i have grown with him in that way. learning that time is sacred and that it is important to balance it, to give ourselves and the people and things that are important to us the care needed.

and i really can tell the difference between the him of now and the him of the past year. and how that beomgyu and the beomgyu between blue hour and eternity are different from magic and crown beomgyu. i cannot describe how crazy it feels to be able to watch a person grow and change 😭 and he is still going to change.

and i cannot wait to see it! to see how many more beomgyus he’ll give us to love and cherish and learn from 💌
