SSLC - Mercury - Dating and Llamas!
Thursday, 1st week of fall. Year 1.
So much has happened again! The café is doing really well, and I’m seriously considering quitting my job to run it full-time. On the other hand, I do love writing for the newspaper. I just received another promotion, and with the next one, I’ll have to choose my path: author or journalist. I’m leaning towards journalist. Honestly, it’s a steady income that Donnie and I can rely on. The café’s earnings could fluctuate at any time, and while it’s fulfilling, it’s also exhausting—even with two employees! Felix is absolutely worth his weight in gold, and I’m thinking about giving him a raise. Beau is a typical teenager—often late, sometimes very hardworking, and on other days... well, bordering on lazy.
Oh, and for our lovely café guests, I invested in something special: two llamas, named Dolly and Beenie. They’re brilliant! I bonded with Dolly straight away, but Beenie is a bit shy. The guests adore them and take such good care of them—it really adds to the charm of the place.
Donnie and I took a little half-day holiday to Sulani. We had a wonderful time swimming, and I definitely got a bit sun-kissed! We also had another date at our restaurant in Brindleton Bay. The food was amazing, and even though I was absolutely knackered, I loved every minute we spent together.
And of course, last Thursday we had our usual Thursday Club gathering. We had a brilliant evening with Tikka Masala pizza (naturally), dancing, and watching telly. We could technically use the café’s space for our meetups, but honestly, I really need more living space—especially with the future in mind.
Once Donnie and I are married and J.D. moves in, we’ll need more room. And of course, we’re hoping to have more children. My plan is to build a barn in the same style as the house, and move the café into that space. Then we’ll expand and renovate the house to suit our growing family’s needs. I’ve decided that Donnie and J.D. will move in only after we’re officially married—it feels like the right thing for us.

SSLC - Mercury - Great changes!
Tuesday, 2nd week of Summer. Year 1.
What a week it’s been! On Wednesday, we celebrated Simdependence Day! I invited the Thursday Club over, and we had some lovely grilled burgers. Bao and I ignored each other as much as possible, but Minh, Ha, and Vanesha made an effort to include us both in everything. We danced, had fireworks, and even lit the fire pit. Well, that turned out to be a terrible decision—the chairs caught fire and we had to call the fire brigade. Since the others were completely useless in the situation, I took charge and tried to put out the fire before it spread. Thank goodness I did! Otherwise, we would’ve lost a lot more than just two chairs and the fire pit.
Anyway, can you believe Bao called me the next day to ask if I wanted to go to the theatre with him? I told him no, of course. I mean, how dare he? He invites me on a dreadful date, gets angry when I leave early, ignores me during the party—and now he wants to go out again? No thank you. Maybe we can do things like that as friends in the future, but definitely not now!
I got promoted again—twice! I’m now an Advice Columnist, and if I want to stay in this career, I’ll have to decide very soon whether I want to become an author or a journalist. I’m not entirely sure I want to stay in this line of work at all, but I’ll have to make up my mind soon.
I also went on a date! I used Cupid’s Corner, and one of the matches was him: Donald Ashway. I met him and—oh my gosh—he’s gorgeous, kind, charming, extroverted, and family-oriented. We just clicked. After only a few hours, it felt like I’d known him my entire life. He’s such a gentleman. He brought me home but didn’t pressure me for anything—not even a kiss. I was so happy!
We had another date the next day. I invited him to a restaurant in Brindleton Bay, and what can I say? Donald proposed! I was so surprised I said yes straight away. And you know what? I feel great about it. He’s my soulmate—I just know it.
The only thing that concerns me is how he always wants to know where I am and whether I have time for him. He gets sulky if I don’t, or if I don’t want to rush things the way he does. He wanted to move in already—even though he has a teenage son I haven’t even met yet! He also wants to get married as soon as possible, but I’ve always dreamed of a traditional wedding: the white dress, a special venue in Tartosa, the whole fairy-tale. I only want to get married once—to my soulmate. Right now, I don’t have the money to finance both the wedding of my dreams and a home for the two of us. I’m not sure how much money Donald has, but he works at S.I.M.S., and I think that should be enough for both him and his son. I’ve got my own savings too, although once we’re married, I’d like us to have a joint account.
What can I say? I’m excited to get a head start on this new life—even though I know it’s been a whirlwind romance. But like I said, it already feels like I’ve known Donald forever.
What else happened? I’ve been spending time reading and painting. I even managed to sell some of my beginner pieces. They were honestly quite bad, but apparently I have a knack for talking people into buying things they don’t really want! That gave me an idea—one I acted on much sooner than expected.
We had an electricity failure in our building. All my electronics were ruined. I called the landlord, and he did next to nothing—I got a measly sum in compensation. I was furious. My lease was due to end the following day, and I decided to do something really impulsive: I applied for a City Loan and bought a plot of land in Henford-on-Bagley. I absolutely love the area and the fresh air. There’s an old, small building on the property, and with a bit of work, some new essentials, and my old furniture, I transformed it into a tiny one-room flat for myself. And on the first floor, I created a café—my very own Art Café.
Right now, it’s not much—but it’s mine. To repay the loan, I’ll keep working in my current job. And maybe, once I’ve saved enough to support a family and afford the wedding I’ve always dreamed of, I’ll be able to leave my career behind and live off the café.
Who knows?

SSLC - Mercury - First Days
Tuesday, 1st week of Summer. Year 1.
It’s been three days since I moved into my new flat in Tomarang, and so many things have already happened! I was welcomed by my neighbours, who are all so very nice. We talked about many different things—my love for the arts and family life. We shared jokes, and more importantly, they told me everything one needs to know about the local gossip!
I wasn’t sure if my decision to move to Tomarang was the right one, but now I am! Maybe I won’t stay forever—I’d like to buy a house at some point. But the flat is so lovely and spacious, and the rent is affordable—or at least, I think so. I’ve bought a few nice pieces of furniture, although some things are rather cheap and I’d like to replace them in the future. Then the flat won’t feel quite so empty.
But back to my new neighbours. We got on so well that we spontaneously came up with the idea of a Thursday Club! All of us are so busy during the week, but on Thursday evenings we plan to meet for pizza, dancing, watching TV, and simply enjoying ourselves. They stayed so long the first evening that I ended up ordering Tikka Masala Pizza. I think that might become our “thing”. Everyone was happy with the pizza, and we had such a good time eating and chatting. I’m really looking forward to Thursday!
Our Thursday Club members are Minh Nguyen, Vanesha Cahyaputri, Bao Ngo, and Ha Huang. I think Bao feels a bit out of place as the only man in our group.
Minh and I are becoming fast friends already. She enjoys art and cooking, like me, and we just click. I can’t quite assess Ha’s character yet, but she seems nice enough. At first, I thought Vanesha was a bit arrogant, but she’s actually really lovely. And then there’s Bao. I really like him. He’s very attractive, and I can talk to him so easily. We’ve spent a bit of time together outside of the Thursday Club. One evening, he came down from his flat, and we ate grilled cheese together and he helped me move some things. Minh and her son, Khanh, are staying with me until Saturday—something’s not quite right with their flat—so I had to sort out beds for them. Bao helped with that. We had such a great time. I even got a bit flirty, and he flirted right back!
Yesterday, while I was painting, he called and asked me out on a date. Of course, I said yes! I was so excited to get to know him better, one-on-one, and spend time together on a proper date. Well… what a disaster that turned out to be. Honestly. He invited me to a lounge we couldn’t even enter because we weren’t VIPs. Then he went swimming in a fountain. Erm… sorry? I thought we’d be talking and dancing with some fancy drinks. And instead, that? I didn’t stay long. I told him this wasn’t working for me and that I wanted to go home early. He was furious—said I should never call him again, blah blah blah. As if I’d planned the date!
Maybe we’ll remain friends once he cools off, but I’m never going on a date with him again!
Oh, by the way—I got a job! As a Writer’s Assistant, but I did so well on Monday that they promoted me to Blogger. I’m so happy! I’m not sure if I want to stay in this job long-term, but for now, it’s perfect.

SSLC - Mercury - Meet Stella!
Sul sul!
Sunday, 1st week of summer. Year 1.
This is Stella Solaris and you are reading her story!
Stella is new to the town of Tomarang. Not much is known about her. She recently moved into a rental flat and the meeting with her new neighbors went really well. She even found her first friend! And maybe there is also romance budding? But only maybe.
Stella is an outgoing and self-assured young woman who is believed to be family-oriented, but thats not entirely certain. What is already widely know is that she is an art lover and has a love for painting. She is a creative head even when her flat does not really reflect that. But she just moved in. Maybe this will change with time.
Stay tuned to follow up on all the events happening in Stellas life!

The central theme in this legacy challenge is that each generation is based around a specific colour. The defining colour of the generation you’re currently playing will always be your Sim’s favourite colour, while the next generation’s colour will be one they dislike. How you incorporate this into your gameplay is entirely up to you.
For each generation, there are goals to complete, along with a general starting point. The 1st generation is base game only, and each following generation will include the use of one expansion pack. If you don’t own that pack — no problem! Skip to the next generation or create your own goals using an expansion pack (or just the base game) that you do own.
You may not use money cheats to gain more money (like rosebud or motherlode) *
You may not use Satisfaction Points to buy potions at the Reward Store.
You may not use Satisfaction Points to buy the following Reward traits: Free Services, Frugal, Steel Bladder, Heatproof, Ice Proof, Antiseptic, Hardly Hungry, Seldom Sleepy, Forever Fresh, Forever Full, Never Weary
You may use as many mods to enhance your play as you want.
You play with the “normal” life expectancy. You are not allowed to halt aging or change the age with mods.
* You are allowed to use banking mods like like SNBank by SimRealist, Scarlet's SimCity Loans 2.0 by MizoreYukii or ATM Cards and Credit by LittleMsSam.
This legacy uses expansion packs. If you do not own the expansion pack used in a generation simply jump to the next.
I recommend to use the SNBank Mod by SimRealist. There you can open accounts for your sims and let them save money, etc.
You start with a young adult sim
For your traits use the “Randomize Traits”-Button! You may click up to 3 times, but then you have to stick with the selection.
Choose 5 hobbies your sim likes and dislike 20 hobbies.
Your sim’s only favourite colour will be PURPLE and they dislike green!
All the other Likes and Dislikes you may choose as you want :)
You may choose between the following aspirations: Bodybuilder, Bestselling Author or Soulmate.
Your starting point will be in Oasis Springs. Buy a lot or house (you may use the starter money for renovating/building). After finishing with a first renovation set your money to $0 with the money cheat and start playing. Have fun!
Goals:
Have at least 5 purple objects in your house (they must be bought with money earned from a job or some other way, not from the beginner inheritance.)
Have at least 1 skill at level 8 and another skill at level 6.
Have a big party (at least 5 guests) for your birthday (young adult to adult)
Have at least 1 child to play the next generation (biological or adopted child)
Complete all milestones of your aspiration before your sim has their birthday from adult to elder
Buy or build a home for at least $35.000 with at least 2 bedrooms
Give your child (with which you are playing the next generation) a starting bonus of $2.500
This generations ends when the heir reaches the age of young adult!
THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS!
