Shaggy used his shirt as a parachute in S1E6 of What’s New Scooby Doo. In Guess Who S2E7, Tim Gunn describes the function of Shaggy’s not-so-stylish look. Shaggy’s look is legendary.

This is about function over fashion. This is about accommodating yourself because no one else is going to do it for you. This is cripplepunk.

“This wasn’t the solution,” Scooby says, after shaggy had dressed him up as a grandmother in order to sneak him into the train.

Shaggy felt the need to hide that he has a service dog and didn’t advocate for himself when the conductor called Scooby a pet and ordered him into a kennel. But Scooby knew - respect the vest.

The solution in scooby’s mind was to suit him up in his harness, instead of having only his collar say “SD” for “service dog.”

And scooby doo and and scrappy doo show, season 3 episode 19, punk rock scooby. Scooby plays guitar.

My favorite thing about shaggy (at the moment at least) is that he can play guitar. And it’s only mentioned like once per series.

In mystery inc, shaggy and Scooby help the hex girls reverse the ska dancing curse. In be cool, shaggy plays guitar and Scooby plays bass when the gang lures the primadona out. Shaggy plays guitar in Legend if the Vampire. (Scooby plays drums.)

I think there’s more but that’s all I can remember right now. I kind of wish the creators stuck with their original plan of having the gang be a band that solves mysteries in between shows. Or at least, I hope an iteration of Scooby doo makes them a band.

Scooby explained to Shaggy that the phone was broken. Shaggy heard the ring through Scooby. Service dogs for the deaf can alert to sound, such as a ringing phone, effectively hearing the ring through the dog!
