Beyond the first Teen Angels single I don’t think there was really any thought, though we had recorded enough material for a second 7″ which ultimately was released as “The Early Years” and I believe that at least one of those songs was rerecorded for Daddy. A weekly babysitting gig during that time led to a distro deal and we were off to the races. As I’ve been sorting through all of the boxes I came to realize I don’t listen to much of it anymore. Yes, Flat Tracker and Rock-N-Roll Holocaust get airtime but beyond that not much else...So I put together a playlist at spotify. So if you need some nostalgia or a good workout mix check it out.

Is 13-14 years enough time? I’m hoping it is but only time and trolls will tell. Over the past year I’ve finally been able to dig through the mess that is our garage, funding a number of boxes full of old Scooch Pooch Records items of possible interest and a ton of assorted ephemera from that mid 90′s Northwest rock & roll scene. So like this page here or on Facebook and maybe we can have some fun. I will try and post at least once per week but who knows maybe more maybe less....
One of my favorite things about having the label was the daily mail run. Whether it was the original address on Broadway in Seattle or later on W. 3rd in LA my walk or ride there was always a highlight. You just never knew what would arrive. A demo from a band I’d never heard of that would eventually become a Scooch Pooch band, a long sought after check from a wayward distributor, or something like the above artwork. Not sure who Tom Haefliger is/was but this is always something that I’ve dug and still makes me smile today.
