I'm so Scorbus Brain rotted that I have a list of songs they would play at THEIR WEDDING. Top three:

"This Love" - Taylor Swift (for their "first dance")

"XO"- Beyonce (Fully choreographed with all their gay friends)

"Fine Line" - Harry Styles (let's face it, all three of Harry's albums would play during the duration of the event. He is Scorbus' favorite artist).

I love this! I also think that when Albus was very young, he would cover his head with a hood from his cloak (or wear a hoodie) whenever the family went to Diagon Alley. Albus HATED getting his picture taken, and would ask Harry to carry him so he could hide his hooded face in his dad's neck. When he got too big to carry, he would hold tightly onto one of his parent's hands, while shielding his face with his hood with the other. The Daily Prophet would always try to photograph him as getting a good picture of Albus was difficult. This made it worse for Albus, he hated to be goaded.

James Sirius and Lily, on the other hand, looked at the alley like it was a red carpet. They couldn't get photographed ENOUGH.

I just know the Potter children grew up in the public eye, always being photographed by the Daily Prophet, and that Harry would've tried his damnest to let them have a normal life away from the spotlight. I also feel like Albus would've had the roughest time (even before starting Hogwarts) since he looks the most like his father.

Evident from Albus and Scorpius' first conversation on the train, we know Scorpius has seen photographs of the Potter children. And Scorpius mentioned always wanting to get into mayhem with his very own friends "just like Harry Potter."

And we know Scorp is an avid reader, so I feel like he would've learned as much as he could about the Potter children. Especially since he said he "checked the Daily Prophet every morning" for news about Hogwarts, he definitely would've come across any/all headlines/gossip the media printed about the Potter children.

All this to say, Scorpius must've had a crush on Albus long before he met him.

(all of these moments take place in toward the end after Scorpius asks Rose to be his friend on the staircase)

Scorpius excitedly leaning into Albus' personal space (these boys faces were 3 inches apart) and Albus shyly laughing and fiddling with his hands every time Scorpius leans down

(we also know how averse Albus is to loud noises and invasions of personal space, so the complete trust and affection with which he allows Scorpius near him is so so sweet)

adding to the point above: Albus consistently flinches at loud, sudden noises and movements (flinching when James sneaks up on him, recoiling when James pretends that his arm is a snake about to strike in the opening scene, shying away to tuck into his parents' side when random fans of Harry, Ron, and Hermione try to wave to him at the station in the first scene)

Rose watching them gradually inch toward each other on the staircase and getting more excited the closer they get

(after Scorpius declares that his progress with Rose is something upon which to build his "Palace of Harmony") Albus panics and grabs his shoulders, stuttering as he asks "And that's who you'd want? In your palace of harmony?"

poor boy is afraid his best friend will fall in love with his cousin (sweetie, your cousin is literally rooting for you 5 feet away)

Albus panicking when Rose reappears, quickly standing up to avoid suspicion. even panicked, he can't bear not being in contact with Scorpius and keeps his hands on his shoulders

Albus' hands sliding from Scorpius' shoulders when he realizes that Rose knows

THE FACT THAT SCORPIUS IS COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS

Rose (possibly the biggest Scorbus shipper in the entire family) gently telling Albus "You know, this is only going to be weird if you two let it be weird :)"

Albus' little voice crack when Rose asks if he's okay

Albus: "What's this? I thought we didn't hug?"

Scorpius: "I wasn't sure whether we should...in this new version of us."

(I originally thought "this new version of us" just referred to them being older/wiser, but now I think the "new version" refers to their budding romantic relationship

hey yall. thought id come on here and just translate what albus and scorpius say to each other/about each other in the script/show to normal people lingo! JUST MY OPINION 

Albus: you’re a light in the darkness. (you’re MY light in the darkness) 

Scorpius: Albus!!! Im fighting for Albus. (he makes me so happy and is the only person in my life that I love enough to get these stupid ass dementors off me) 

Albus: Scorpius matters to me, you understand that right? (Literally my best friend that I may or may not have romantic feelings which I am yet to work out. I’m trying to get you to understand before I come out to you!)

Scorpius: I changed myself back for you. You might not of been there but you were fighting alongside me. (I thought about you everyday because I missed you so much and couldn’t stand not seeing you and being near you) 

Scorpius: Still, if I had to choose a companion to be at the return of eternal darkness with, id choose you. (I don’t want to be with anyone else but you. Not just in this case, but in every other situation ever. I am also trying to work out if you actually do love me or that was just Delphi making shit up)

Albus: No offence, but id choose someone massive and really good at magic. (I am actually kidding id choose you but I refuse to admit my feelings for you so I will avoid it at all costs, even though Delphi literally just did it for me)

Ginny: you were confused, and now you’re finding wonderful clarity, which makes me very proud.(Your soulmate is literally right in front of you and I hope you can now see that) 

Albus: and that’s who you want. In your palace? (Are you sure you really want Rose when I am literally right in front of you. Because I really want you even though I never admit my feelings yet here I am, admitting my feelings in a roundabout way. This is my way of saying the L word btw) 

Scorpius: yes… isn’t it? (Wait. Is this you admitting your feelings or just being friendly? I don’t think I’m meant to feel this way about my best friend. But since you asked, I think a palace with you would be nice) 

Scorpius: I didn’t know whether we should. In this new version of us. (I think we both secretly know we now have a different type of relationship. I want us to be ok with that and accept it. I like hugging you. Only you)

Albus: you do know right, that scorpius is the most important person in my life and might always be the most important? (This is me coming out. I really like my best friend more than you normally should and I’ve finally realised that and come to terms with it. I hope you can accept me and be ok with that.)
