GLOWING REVIEWS FOR THE NORMAL HEART WITH RICHARD CANT
Tumblr media
The Normal Heart, featuring RICHARD CANT, opened last night at The National Theatre to high praise from the reviewers. This ground-breaking play by Larry Kramer was a pioneering piece exploring the AIDS crisis in the 1980s. Here is just a taste of the reviews the show has received so far:
It’s a wonderful revival and only sad that Kramer himself, who died last year, at the age of 84, still an activist, still controversial, didn’t live to see it. – *****Whats On Stage
Kramer’s play is living history, written without the benefit of hindsight, and it remains undimmed by time. – ****The Stage
This is a timely and essential revival. – ****Evening Standard
The Normal Heart runs until Saturday 6th November at The National Theatre. Book your tickets here.

FROZEN WITH RICHARD FRAME AND VIDEO DESIGN BY FINN ROSS OPENS IN THE WEST END TO SPARKLING REVIEWS
Tumblr media
The much anticipated musical Frozen finally opened on the West End at the newly renovated Theatre Royal Drury Lane last night. Featuring our very own RICHARD FRAME as Weselton and with stunning video design by FINN ROSS, the show opened to some excellent reviews. Here is just a taste of the praise the show has received so far:
‘Christopher Oram’s classic storybook design, meanwhile, is sharply contrasted against Finn Ross’s shimmering projections, which splinter and fracture across the carved wooden edges of the Theatre Royal’s proscenium arch, atmospherically depicting a once-sunny kingdom plunged into an icy, ominous winter.’ – The Independent
‘Does this adaptation live up to that hefty legacy? Yes, and perhaps it even exceeds it.’ – The Guardian
‘…if you regard Frozen as an unseasonal Christmas treat, then it is the most enormous fun.’ – WhatsOnStage

LIFT OFF FOR ROCKETS AND BLUE LIGHTS AT THE NATIONAL THEATRE
Tumblr media
Rockets And Blue Lights, directed by MIRANDA CROMWELL with Fight Direction by YARIT DOR and featuring PAUL BRADLEY, opened at the National Theatre last night to excellent reviews! Written by Winsome Pinnock, this prescient and pertinent play revolves around the painting ‘The Slave Ship’ by Turner (played by PAUL) and who has the right to tell the stories of the past.
See below a selection of the reviews the play has received so far:
‘Miranda Cromwell’s production instils a ghostliness, with figures drifting through each other’s stories.’ – THE STAGE
‘Miranda Cromwell’s production – which was shut down after its third performance at Manchester’s Royal Exchange in March 2020 – feels urgent and important. Deeply sad and shaming, it’s also startlingly funny in parts.’ – THE EVENING STANDARD
‘…a production by Miranda Cromwell that embodies the link between past and present, letting scenes flow into each other, just as the past does the present, and allowing the actors to move with fluid skill between many parts.’ – WhatsOnStage
Rockets and Blue Lights runs until 9th October 2021. Book your tickets here!

SENSATIONAL REVIEWS FOR RONKẸ ADÉKOLUẸJO IN LAVA
Tumblr media
LAVA starring RONKẸ ADÉKOLUẸJO at the Bush Theatre opened last week to amazing reviews. The one-woman show, written by Benedict Lombe, about how renewing a British passport led to a journey of self-discovery captivated the critics. Here is just a selection of the praise the play received:
‘Adékoluẹjo is a dazzling, captivating storyteller and joyous dancer. Under Anthony Simpson-Pike’s direction, she controls the stage with such ease, oozing charm and confidence.’
– THE GUARDIAN ****
‘Adékoluẹjo enters dancing like no one, and everyone, is looking and is by turns conspiratorial, sincere, goofy and blazingly angry. She’s as magnetic alone on a small stage as she was in the National Theatre’s Three Sisters in 2019. And she negotiates the tricky end of this rollercoaster 80-minute piece wonderfully.’
THE EVENING STANDARD ****
‘Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo turns in a faultless performance.’
WHATS ON STAGE ****
‘Ronke Adekoluejo is always in command.’
