This watercolor and ink piece just called out to be framed today. It is a 8x8 painting mounted and placed in a thick chunky floater frame. It just pops. I know my photos need work. If you wonder what I do with not so good watercolor paintings. Cut them put, stitch them and embed into encaustic works. This is an older piece. It was a painting of a flower, maybe a rose. Really not my style but when you take a painting class sometimes you do what the instructor wants to teach. This instructor does abstract watercolir but she did not want to teach me that in my 1 on 1 class..ugh. At the end she asked if I liked it and I said no but it may end up in a collage. It did. Yesterday I had fun creating encaustic monotypes thanks to @enkaustikos I have new wax. I love the vibrancy of direct wax to paper. Today I walked into @kreuser_gallery and a wonderful artist friend @lizkettle was talking about my encaustic monotype show that I did 2 yrs ago. It is so flattering to be remembered by my artwork.
