Recs of MY OWN fics? LMAO I mean, i have what? Six scarian fics to my name? My three oneshots, and my three long-fics, counting MS! Also i’ve written like five thousand words for a oneshot that i’ll probably post soon too, so stay tuned there.

I like all of them if I’m completely honest! They’re very different from each other, so if you’re looking for one that’s exactly like Midnight Strangers, you’re out of luck on my page, but I’ll briefly explain each one if you’d like!

All of the following fics can be found on ao3 under my pseudonym Mitos (SeriouslyCalamitous) which i’ve linked here as well!

“Be the Death of Me” is my god/mortal au, featuring deity!scar x mortal!grian! It’s the first fic i posted in this fandom, so it’s my baby. There’s 9 chapters, 71k words, and it’s been given some high reviews.

If you like a more possessive, slightly unhinged version of Scar, you’d find him here. If you like a slightly more oblivious, tired, fond Grian, you’d find him here. If you like devotion, falling in love, intense yearning, fantasy, you’d find those things here too!

“Change with the Tides” is my pirate!scar x shapeshifter!grian fic. It’s the second long-fic that i’ve posted, and it’s also pretty loved by a good amount of folks! It’s 6 chapters, 50k words.

If you like a more competent, secretive, and loyal version of Scar, you’d find him here. If you like a more magical, powerful, and stuck-in-a-bad-situation version of Grian, you’d find him here. If you enjoy the Bamboozlers’ friendship, slowly learning to trust one another, and the changed into an animal trope, you’d find those here too.

My currently-posted oneshots are all three set in a modern au, and based around different holidays! Each of them is over 5k words long.

“More than you could ever know” is my christmas fic featuring scarian as roommates. If you enjoy the mistletoe trope, almost kisses, and friends-to-lovers, you’ll like this fic.

“Only Just Begun” is my new year’s eve fic featuring scarian as actors in the life series at a holiday party. If you enjoy heavy flirting, kisses at midnight, and Grian being oblivious, you’ll like this fic.

“Foolhearted” is my april fools fic, and it’s my favorite of all three oneshots, featuring theater teacher!scar x school secretary!grian. If you enjoy extreme amounts of teasing, flirting, and a heavily-flustered Scar, this is your deal!

And the next oneshot I’ll be posting features them back on the open ocean, and back on a boat like they are in “Change with the Tides,” but the au itself is a secret until it’s posted ;)

Day 31 - Etho

With a special little toad, a symbol of a Ukrainian band called Rohata Zhaba (which translates to a "horned/antlered toad" or "toad with horns/antlers")

It's one of my favourite bands, and I even got a chance to go to their concert!! They have incredible songs and beautiful lore, but even if you don't understand it all you can still enjoy some banger songs like Велетні, Лісовик or Ліхтар!! (my personal favourites hehe)

Day 30 - Doc

We have a lot of traditions around Christmas in Ukraine that come from ages and ages ago.

One of thesymbols of it is the Zirka (which means the "Star") and it plays one of the most important roles in the celebration. It symbolized the birth of the new sun, and carolers, dressed up in costumes and/or masks, take it from house to house shining it bright for everyone to see.

Also one of the most known carols in the world comes from Ukraine! Shedryk, or how most people know it, Carol of the bells, was written by Mykola Leontovych in 1916! And even tho the english lyrics are completely different from the original, as well as the meaning of the song is, the Ukrainian melody still plays in so many countries all over the globe.

A little rant here but Christmas might be one of my favourite parts of our culture!! I got a chance to experience it in the west of Ukraine, where a lot of the old traditions are kept safe, and I still hold many special memories from that time. When people go out caroling, especially in big cities, it really feels like the entire country is united, and connected with our ancestors who were doing the same thing many moons ago. I'm not a big fan of winter, not am I religious, but I truly feel the power of the Christmas celebration in Ukraine and I'm always looking forward to it :]

Day 29 - Skizz

Ukraine doesn't have an official national animal, but truly the most symbolic one is a stork.

Storks come here in spring and stay untill autumn when it becomes cold, and for many they're a symbol of good luck, wellbeing and health. And if a stork sits on your house it counts as a huge good sign and a blessing!

Day 27 - Wels

Him playing one of the oldest Ukrainian musical instruments - Bandura. It has a long history behind it as well as such an amazing sound!

For this one I tried to channel Zed's silly energy and I decided to make a collage out of Ukrainian sweets from Roshen!

The ones I used here are Корівка ("cow"), Ромашка ("daisy"), Шалена бджілка ("crazy bee") and Чайка ("seagul")
