Found this really good thread on twitter explaining what exactly is happening in Australia right now, because I haven’t seen much on Tumblr.
And because I don’t think the thread touched on it, when Scott Morrison, our PM finally did visit the affected areas he forced the residents to shake his hand (literally forced, he grabbed a woman’s hand even though she said no) and then walked away when they tried to talk about the situation and ask for help. Google his name and you’ll find videos.

Hiatus.
Hello all, I don’t know who still follows this blog but if you do, I’m very sorry about the absence of posts over the past year or so. I won’t be rectifying that, though - I’m going on permanent hiatus with this blog.
This blog was made during the first season of Idol Producer. I will never forget the IP community here that made me feel so welcome when I first put my writing out for you all to see. I’ll never forget the friends I made here, the stories I read, how happy you all made me.
However, I have had no inspiration for Idol Producer/Nine Percent for the longest time. I don’t follow 9p or the rest of the trainees much at all anymore. This has been coming for a long time. The only reason I didn’t make my hiatus official before this was because I thought something might change. I didn’t want to let go of this blog yet. But now, it’s just kind of a source of stress for me. I wish I could keep writing for 9p/IP, but I can’t.
I won’t ever forget the memories I made on this blog with the rest of the early IP community, and I won’t stop writing - I just won’t be writing for IP/9p anymore, and I own’t be answering messages/asks/etc. on this blog anymore. If you’d still like to keep up with me, I’ll be on my NCT/SKZ blog, @scriptura-delirus.
I’m sorry about this. To anyone who’s reading this, thanks for everything :)

sometimes you say or do bad things while you’re in an awful mental place. sometimes you say things that are rude or uncalled for or manipulative. and i’m not going to hold that against you. mental illness is hard, and no one is perfect. but once you’re through that episode, you need to take steps to make amends. you need to apologize.
“i couldn’t help it, i was having a bad episode” is a justification, not an apology.
“i’m so fucking sorry, i fucked up, i don’t deserve to live, i should stop talking to anyone ever, i should die” is a second breakdown and a guilt trip. it is not an apology.
when you apologize, the focus should be on the person you hurt. “i’m sorry. i did something that was hurtful to you. even if i was having a rough time, you didn’t deserve to hear that,” is a better apology. if it was a small thing, you can leave it at that.
if you caused significant distress to the other person, this is a good time to talk about how you can minimize damage in the future. and again, even if it is tempting to say you should self-isolate and/or die, that is not a helpful suggestion. it will result in the person you’re talking to trying to talk you out of doing that, which makes your guilt the focus of the conversation instead of their hurt.
you deserve friendship, and you deserve support. but a supportive friend is not an emotional punching bag, and mental illness does not absolve you of responsibility for your actions. what you say during a mental breakdown doesn’t define you. how you deal with the aftermath though, says a lot.

News broke an hour ago that Samuel Kim’s father, Jose Arredondo, was murdered yesterday in Mexico. Obviously this is BEYOND tragic and I cannot imagine what Samuel and the rest of the Kim and Arredondo families are going through today. But due to the nature of Korean news outlets, and their obsession to be first to break the news and get clicks regardless of the truth, accuracy or moral ambiguity of their articles, I ask all of you not to spread any rumors or unconfirmed reports out of respect to Samuel and to Jose. This is not the time for speculation and conspiracy theories but instead a time for solemnity and compassion.
This article here is about Jose, not Samuel, and does a good job summarizing things you need to know about him in light of his passing.
Please respect the family’s privacy and keep Samuel in your thoughts and prayers. He is an incredible kid who has been through more than most idols his age and he needs all the love and support he can get from Garnets, Carats and everyone else who cares about him. His Instagram and Twitter pages are currently disabled/private (for obvious reasons) but I BEG OF YOU to show tact, class and respect when they are up and running again.
Samuel, we love you SO MUCH. Please take care of yourself and know that you do not have to be alone in this. Garnets and Carats will be with you until the end of time. Be strong, kid. We love you.

my current situation, why i haven’t been posting & more
so hello, everyone. i know a lot of you are wondering where i’ve been and what has been going on with me so let me explain what has happened to me!
back in november, my family and i moved to a different country from america (our home country) and the wifi here isn’t exactly the fastest. on top of all of that, we are living with my uncle until our house is finished being built. so that means, for the last eight months, i’ve been going around bumming wifi where i can. and because i’m never in one place for too long, i never have enough to post fics, load messages, ect.
i’m planning in coming back soon. according to my parents, the house should be done towards august and if that’s the case, i’ll be back to posting for our favorite boys and even branching out to more cpop/kpop groups.
i hope you’re all super understanding for my long absence. i know it’s no excuse but i’m trying my best to get content out again. i miss the npc community and just tumblr in general.
feel free to send things to my ask box anytime and i will try to get back to them as soon as possible. thank you all again! i love you guys!

If you haven’t heard there is a literal massacre going on in Sudan.
People are getting kidnapped, arrested, raped and killed. This has been going on for a few days now but naturally there’s hardly any media coverage.
THE WORLD CARES MORE ABOUT AN EMPTY CHURCH IN FRANCE THAN HUNDREDS OF INNOCENT BLACK MUSLIMS DYING IN SUDAN.
There are a few ways to help:
- Emergency Medical Aid Donation
- Facebook campaign raising funds for food and other necessities
- International Rescue Committee
- Save The Children
Even if you can’t donate please help spread the news!!

How to help Sudan: 7 things you can do right now for a country in crisis

This situation in Sudan makes me so so so so so mad and angry because they CUT OFF the Internet so people can’t say what’s happening there and they rely on US to be SAVED because they’re currently living a NIGHTMARE they can’t even go to the streets NORMALLY and they can’t do ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THERE IS NO INTERNET. THE SUDANESE PEOPLE RELY ON US. DO SOMETHING.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate to the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees: https://donate.unhcr.org/int/south-sudan/~my-donation
Donate to the Sudan Relief Fund: https://sdnrlf.com/campaign-cat/featured/
Donate to the International Medical Corps for Sudanese Medical Aid: https://www.gofundme.com/f/sudanese-medical-aid

wild how people had a lot of feelings about an empty building burning down in paris but when the lives of over a hundred sudanese civilians are taken in a massacre, most of the internet wants to stay mute. y’all cried legit tears over a piece of white history being on fire but turn the other cheek when african lives are being taken violently.

Happening right now in Hong Kong - the police is firing rubber bullets and using batons, pepper spray, tear gas and water cannons on peaceful protesters who took the streets to protest against the passing of a controversial law which would allow China to extradite people.
Protesters set up camps, gave out snacks and surgical masks before all of this started. Tanks are apparenrly out in the streets as well and people are being hurt as I write this, but they are not backing down.

Most of the protesters are young people, university students, even high schoolers.
