....Interesting. I would not be surprised if those spiral-bound notebooks my handbound books are being compared to were made by a print-on-demand service or similar.
We will soon return to our regularly scheduled programming (ie I'm nearly finished shipping like 90 zine orders & will soon get back to working on cookbook orders & might even finish a book or two for my shop)
A giant mystery box from the US? What could it be? None other than more fantastic work by @scrollsnsketchbooks, and some original art by Ry (nicatorshields on Instagram) that graced the pages of my brand new SECOND EDITION cookbook! And my precious worldbuilding compendium!! All bound in leather with SILVER pages oh my!
My gratitude also goes out to @thana-topsy and @icicleteeth for contributing their incredible art skills to the recipe book.
I have the best friends and fan community in the world and from the bottom of my heart I'd like to thank all 11k+ of you who never stopped believing in me. Long live Tastes of Tamriel! 🖤
I really, REALLY wish seed beads came in as many colors as cross stitch floss does. I have no interest in cross stitching but there are some patterns out there I really like & think would look just as good as a woven bead tapestry. Alas....
There's a lot in my town that sells sheds. This one that I took video/photos of is by far their most popular design; these never stay on the lot for more than a couple months.
I wouldn't actually get one of these sheds myself- I need about three times the space available in these, plus plumbing & electric- but it's a nice starting point to daydream about the kind of studio I would have, if I could afford it.
Thank you for checking out Scrolls 'n' Sketchbooks! This blog serves as my portfolio, as well as an archive of all my finished projects and inspiration for future projects, and a directory for my shop and commissions info. Feel free to have a look around!

Got this one relisted in the shop! It is now marked down & in the Clearance section.
Leopard Print Journal
A while back I was gifted some fun fabric, and I decided to use it to make a book! Naturally I had to make it something ridiculously colorful and bright. :D
The book is 8.5"x5.5" and 200 pages, the lines alternating between bright pink and green. The endpapers are marbled momi paper (and I’m quite happy with how smoothly they glued down this time, I’ve had to deal with a lot of wrinkling in the past), with fluorescent pink & green endbands and a braided ribbon marker.
I've really been struggling with a lot of things lately- not being allowed ANY space (other than my matchbox of a bedroom that's, y'know, already my bedroom) to get properly set up in & make more than 1 book every 3 months, seasonal depression, trying to get books done to sell in my shop to help fund the insane amount of dental work I need ($8000!!! kill me please x.x) & facing the reality that no one cares about books unless there's fic printed in them- but I have finally managed to get a couple of the Talviel's Kitchen books finished. I can't guarantee the rest will be finished in any hurry but I am still working on them.
A nautical-themed sketchbook similar to the notebook I made for my mom for Mother's Day last year, this one featuring coral print instead of seahorses. This one's available in my shop!
