URGENT 🚨 APPEAL FOR SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY :DISPLACED LGBTQIA+ 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️CRISIS IN A REFUGEE CAMP.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts on behalf of a group of LGBTQIA+ individuals who are currently facing a dire and life-threatening situation. Due to increasing pressure and hostility from government forces, our community has been forced to vacate the camp where we hadbeen seeking safety and refuge. This displacement has not only left us without shelter, but it has also pushed us toward urban areas where the cost of living—rent, food, and transportation—is entirely unaffordable.Most of us have no financial resources or stable income, as systemic discrimination continues to block access to employment and essential services. We are now at a critical crossroads, sleeping in unsafe conditions, going without meals, and unsure of how we will make it throughthe coming days.

We are not asking for luxury—only for the basics of survival and the chance to live with dignity. Any form of assistance—whether through direct donations, shelter connections, food provisions, advocacy, or helping amplify our voices—could make a life-saving difference.

Surviving in South Sudan refugee camp, day after day, can be incredibly draining. It’s a cycle of uncertainty, with constant struggles for safety, dignity, and basic needs. For many, it’s not just about surviving, but about holding on to a sense of self, identity, and hope amidst overwhelming challenges.

For trans individuals in South Sudan refugee camp, these struggles are often compounded by isolation, discrimination, and a lack of daily food,proper healthcare or support for their specific needs. Gender-based violence, lack of privacy, and hostile environments make each day feel even more daunting.

Even though it feels like just another day of surviving, sometimes it’s these small moments of connection and solidarity with others that can make all the difference—whether it’s finding a safe space, meeting someone who understands, or just taking a moment to remember who you are and the strength it takes to keep going.
