Sometimes I wish I had a proper blog that people read all the time. Because sometimes, I just want to type all day.. But know that someone might take something away from it.

McDonald’s Employee.

                                              Story Time, this is long.

   First I would like to start by saying I love my job, and I would like to point out why. I love my job because each and everyone of my employees is so helpful, so friendly, and would do anything for me. I’d like to address that it is a perfectly good job, the only thing is that you will determine whether you have a good or bad experience. I never once wanted to work here because who wants to work Fast Food right? Well, no one would hire me because I was a summer student so I turned to my last resort. I was working Full-Time for my last Seven weeks of summer (not to mention they were completely fine with me only be there for seven weeks) so it was temporary. I was only getting paid a part time wage, so I asked my store manager about it because others had told me I should be making the same as a Full-Time even though I was only a Temporary. The conversation lasted maybe five minutes, he told me he was going to fix it, not only did my wage go up by 1.50, but he also back payed me (I was not expecting that at all). Overall, the people I work with are amazing. End of Story. 

BUT..

    On the other hand the customers... Not always so nice. Don't get me wrong there are some really nice customers that have become MY regulars. But I have now, seven years of customer service experience (going onto my seventh year as a cashier, crazy I know but hey I'm still in college). Anyways, in that seven years I have learnt how to deal with unhappy customers.      Well even after some bad experiences last summer with some customers, I decided that I missed my McDonald’s co-workers and was going to go back (for the summer at least). Now to what I really want to get into...

    Working at McDonald’s or anywhere that you deal with customers face to face is tough, but when it comes down to someones; Breakfast, Lunch, Supper or Snack, people can get pretty feisty.      Believe me, we know that you are hungry, we more then likely are as well, for the reason that we stay sooo busy that we are lucky to get a proper break (if your an employee that goes above and beyond or just really likes to help as much as they can). For instants, I will go for my break only if it is not busy just because I don’t want to leave everyone bombarded. But that’s besides the point. What I want to get to is that, the people working the counter and drive-thru, have no control AT ALL over the kitchen and how fast your food comes (when we have to cook new product) but we are busy ALL the time. There’s only one kitchen for the counter, and for the drive-thru, getting mad at us is not going to make your food come faster. And if something comes out wrong, there is no reason for you to yell at us. Simply let us know that the order came out wrong and we will do everything that we possibly can to fix it for you.      Moving onto ordering from the drive-thru. It is really hard to hear over the speaker, especially when there something loud outside; Trains, sirens etc. The worst being people who have diesel trucks and don’t turn them off. But sometimes there’s loudness coming form the inside making it hard to hear as well, the order taker station is right beside the sink where they do the dishes. So again getting mad at us because we can't properly understand/hear is not going to make it any better. We do our best, and it would be nice if you could appreciate that.      It bothers me that people always just assuming that it is an easy job. I mean sure it’s not working in the oil field, or we are electricians. But a lot of us are students going to school. My point is, is that we deal with a lot of bullshit, from all different types of people. In my opinion I don’t think that it is fair that we are made fun of on social media (being made fun of for “asking to be making more” “raising more then minimum wage.” We work hard, and I feel that we should be paid more just for the fact of some of the customers behaviour. Actually not even that, I just think we should be paid more just because we are making your Breakfast, Lunch or Supper for you, if you want to sit there and complain then GO HOME and make your own food. We do our absolute best, and just because we are working at McDonald’s and your working at some big top notch job does NOT put you above us.      On another note, it is pretty sad how many times I see my 16-17 year old co-workers get yelled at by a full out adult in their 30′s.. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. 

    All I really want to get across is that we are people too and just because we are working at McDonald’s doesn't make us any less important. How would you, or how do you feel if or when someone walks into your office and starts yelling at you, well it’s the same thing for us, especially when it’s the same person, and they decide that they need to come back everyday, and do the same thing every time they come. And trust me this goes for all Fast Food places, grocery stores, utility stores absolutely anything that you are customer service face to face throughout the whole day everyday. 

    Sometimes it’s really tough. BUT by no means am I knocking my job because to be quite honest, as much as it kills me sometimes, I absolutely love my job and I wouldn’t change it for the world right now. It is honestly the perfect job for students, or for people who want a second job to work around an existing job. I mean I have so much respect for some of my co-workers who have kids at home, but they work a minimum of three jobs. And a shout out to these people for always being so helpful, kind, supportive and for putting in the effort to be more than just a co-worker. 

    I just really want people to understand what we actually do, and I would love for people to start appreciating it, instead of throwing dirt on us and spitting on us on and off of social media.

Myself.

I honestly hate the way I look. I wish I could change everything about myself. If I could afford it, I would go through every different surgery that there is out there. FML. 

LOL, I am not searching for attention. I just hate the way I look. And don’t use the line that I am not doing anything about it because I am. I am trying so hard, and nothing seems to be working. I don’t know why. A friend that I am doing this with has already changed so much, loosing inches and weight. We are eating the same, working out the same. I just do not understand. 

And it’s not like I eat junk, I never really have. I cook all my food and rarely eat out.. I just do not understand. ):

Healthy Eating

I always say, “yes after I go out for lunch with my friends on tuesday... (it’s sunday night.) I then proceed to eat chicken nuggets at 2:30am while playing Super Mario Bros with my little brother. Not just like 5 noooo, I eat like 15 chicken nuggets. Why you may ask? Because I fucking can...!

My eyes.

Crawl into bed can’t see my TV so I put my glasses on. It’s too hot so I turn my fan on. Eyes get too dry because of fan and start to water. Once again, can no longer see TV...

Well, I took my PlayStation 4 out of my room and into the Living Room for family game night. Turns out I wasn’t motivated enough to move it back into my room so instead of playing BlackOps 3.. I am now watching DVD’s. Because why would I have even my laptop in my room..
