If you ever wanted to know what the slider things look like when I doodle them down in my notebooks (aka sketchy af and borderline incomprehensible xD). These are all essentially where the characters stand as of where they're currently at in their stories (excluding the ones I haven't started yet). I'm sure it's hard to tell who's who, so I'll start at the right:

Kaleidoscope Nine and Mangey are so platonically in love as friends, LOOK AT NINE BEING EMBRASSED. They are absolutely darling; bless their hearts. <333 CaveTails is ALL ABOUT CaveKit. Like, "Oh, this is totes my mate now! No questions. :D" I think I've already stressed how hot Garrison-Nine thinks Garrison-Kit is. dfjsdfkdls Sails is obviously SUPER into sp-Kit, but he isn't in love with him. Poor, poor sp/Kaleidoscope-Tails really likes sp-Kit, too, though... ^^; Second Chance Tails thinks SC-Kit is really cute (unfortunately, SC-Kit is all the way on the "ew, no" side over there, lmao). CaveKit thinks CaveTails is really dang cute, but he's not about to try to marry him like CaveTails essentially is towards him. xD sp-Kit is just beginning to think Sails is cute, in his own way. Not shown, but he'd be all the way in "ew, no" regarding sp-Tails. ^^;;; I'm so sorry, Tails! Garrison-Kit is just kinda like "Eh, yeah, he's kind of cute" regarding Garrison-Nine. Keep in mind they pretty much just met in this au and Nine is just feeling, um, very strongly. :3; Folklore Kit and Tails are basically enemies and sort of hate each other. Tails is just a smidge to the right because he can't help but feel some empathy for Kit despite himself.

Late night sleepy doodles, thinking of how the boys might typically sleep. They're not really based on the characters as much, just for the sillies. I didn't know what to call Mangey's position- that's how I sleep in the summer when it's hot as frick and I don't even want my arms to touch me. Nine's on the road to effing up his back sleeping like that. Ah well, I guess he should enjoy it while he's young. xD

I was wondering who of the bunch would roll around the most, be super restless, ect. But actually? I think they're all the type to just fully conk the heck out once they're asleep. They all work hard, so their bodies are probably so done with them by the time they finally lay down. Hm... Maybe Kit...

Silly things I drew based on @reidluver's commentary on Kaleidoscope. xD Freaking FLATTERING me with that first bit (thank you, ilu <3). And freaking GET. TAILS!!! That dumb workaholic ain't do nothin' for himself! >:0 (She's supposed to be flicking his nose- not smacking him in the face lol)

I believe Reid said something about how nice it would be if Tails, Mangey, and Nine could reunite on their own terms and just hang out. I also took a crack at drawing a more spikey-looking Nine because in Reid's fic, he's supposed to have hedgehog-like elements about him highlighted... And he's just prickly overall. Heh. Anyway, it didn't come out looking much different to how I usually draw him, so I'll have to try again later. xD

I headcanon Nine's favorite flavor as grape because it's so artificial it doesn't even taste like grapes. A lot of people have written interesting dynamics between these two that I really enjoy (in fics and otherwise). Please accept my humble little contribution to the Knux+Nine pile. :3 (I forgot what Knux looked like other than the hat/scars... accidentally made his hat smol and silly, ehehe)

By the way... A NEW RECORD!!!

Drawing in a cheap lined notebook helps because I don't worry about "wasting paper," so I can just let myself go ham. I filled out 30 pages in a day (drawing CaveTails and Minecraft stuff). My wrist hurted, but it was fun. ;w; I proceeded to fill another (little!) notebook the following week, but I just drew oc stuff on the front page, so no pic. I enjoyed the chill vibes of the cheapo notebook, so I'm filling up another one right now. Probably not quite as fast, though.

Since I was asked what Kit would be like as the beast in CaveTails, I also had to think about what that would mean for Cave-Tails being... Not so Cave-y. He ended up being pretty basic, but I still like him.

More rambling under the cut:

He's bi with a preference for women, so the journey to finding Kit wouldn't be nearly as impactful to his growth as a person. Being comp-het is never a good thing, but not being able to explore his bisexuality wouldn't exactly be life-ruining for him. I could see him marrying Cosmo and having a happy, fulfilling life. Y'know, plot of the monster romance story aside.

It's probably hard to tell the difference between un-werefox'd Tails and started-as-a-mobian Tails. Werefox Tails is shorter/smaller (but more buff), has sabre teeth, big claws, teeeensy tails, a little mohawk, his "makeup" (mask, hair dye), and several scars (not visible because of his thick fur). Both versions are unkempt, but Werefox Tails is straight up scrungly, if that makes sense. xD

Despite the fact that Tails has nonsensical tabby markings in addition to the two tails, I don't see him being ostracized quite as badly as in canon. I can't really articulate why, but I don't see these features as being that big of a deal to other mobians in this au. Idk. Not that he didn't get bullied at all, but his monster version definitely got bullied more and overall had more of a hard time. (Because he was small and weak compared to others, in addition to the tiny goofy tails).

Mobian Tails grew up homeless and alone (no Sonic!), but was able to eventually carve his own path. I imagine he got taken in under Eggman's wing for his smarts (whereas Kit was taken in by Starline). Still not great, but I think pretty much anyone is better than Starline. ._. He didn't experiment on Kit like in canon, but... Anyway, back to Tails-

He's much more carefree and chill. He's the type of person that doesn't waste much time looking presentable because he's too busy working on his projects. Whereas mobian Kit always had to be extra cautious about everything- including making sure he was well layered at all times to conceal his body shape. Them being swapped is basically both of them being a lot happier. ... Which makes for a much more boring story, so good thing it's not canon! (That sounded terrible dkfldsjs) It was fun to think about, though. :3 Always love a good ol' fashioned role reversal!

Silly noncanon thing I thought of while listening to this song in the car. I just wanted to draw a critter Kit howling the OOOOH~ part because I thought it would be cute (and it was!). I'm singing with him becauuuse... uhhh, I feel like it. >:0 (... I so totally don't think of me and Sails singing together every time a corny Beach Boys song comes on... No sir...! Hehe)

Plus a random dichotomy I noticed between them. And some cutie doodles I didn't feel like giving their own post.

Silly guys nappin' :j (Based on Reid's comment on this post). I accidentally made Nine too big (he's supposed to be a bit smaller than Tails), but oh well. As long as Mangey is appropriately the big fella, it's mostly accurate.

Adorable people. I effed up their expressions in the second drawing, hence turning it into them purposefully making dumb faces. Couldn't really fix it since it's in pen. I basically redrew what I was going for in the first one, though. So cute. <3 I'm not sure Kit would actually care much about having his photo taken. The last pic is me trying to design them critter clothes for their sunshower wedding (not canon), but gave up immediately because I wasn't feeling it. I do so love drawing critters with the capelet/whatever-you'd-call-it that Sails is wearing, though. <3 He looks so cute! :3 Idk what I was going for with that drape-y thing Kit's got going on.

I don’t think an extra life monitor will work because they’re already dead, so imjustalittlecreature can have one of my max revives, I suppose. They deserve it for their noble sacrifice to the greater good by protecting Oshi. On a completely unrelated note, I have to go deliver a cookie.
