still so funny to me that dany was forced to look upon the Horror that would be robb starks fate and then just had to continue with her life. she never thinks about that weird shit again. she has No idea why she had to see a man with a wolfs head staring at her sadly, hand reaching for her. she literally might not ever know what all that was even about.

actually what if she does hear about the red weddings and robb's Horror later on, maybe during dinner with the starklings, and dany almost jumps up screaming "THAT WAS YOUR BROTHER?????"

ok so basically back in my old blog i talked about how arya's journey from start to end resonated with me as a nb person, which starts with her nuanced gender identity (feminity, which was indeed caused by societal factors), follows on with a complete loss and fluidity of identity (she's no longer arya, she's arry, she's weasel, nan, squirrel, etc) BUT still not feeling herself in any of them, then slowly finding herself when she has to completely renounce to Arya and her other identities. She doesn't identify as a lady of winterfell or princess of winterfell or any of that, she identifies herself by something deeper; by her connection to Nymeria, by her connection to her ancestors and to her family, not exactly as a girl or a boy.

i joke a lot about furry arya but i find more fascinating the way she connects more to the identity of a wolf than an actual gender identity, in which a wolf is more abstract than just woman or girl (in westerosi/medieval european terms). i'm not saying that she actually wants to be a four legged furry carnivore beast, but what is behind that persona: freedom to be whatever she wants, in a safe environment with her pack, in a supportive environment of course, following her personal ambitions and taking care of others as a community.

nymeria is the leader of her pack, yes, but it's not because she's a lady or a queen or a noblewoman, it's because she's the most capable to fit that role in terms of strength, speed, experience. and yet wolves don't leave behind the "weakest" as that disproved alpha-beta wolf theory would make you believe, they still care for each other despite any hardships. at the end of the day people can perceive her as they want, but she will still be at peace with what she is: a wolf of winterfell, done with wooden teeth, surrounded by her pack, being protected and protecting.

My plan for the public transit system is to make bus drivers into a sort of holyman whose role is cherished in society. Then we give them access to all the ecstasy they want and they're expected to take it on the job.
