I have a ton of random headcannon and fic ideas for Marvel (mostly spiderman) so I guess I’m here to ignore most major plot details of the recent movies

I need help finding a fic!!
Idk where to put this so I’m just gonna write it here and hope for the best lol
But I’m looking for a Spider-Man fic. Overall, Peter is pretty sad in it (im pretty sure I originally found it in the “Peter Parker needs a hug” ao3 tag but that may be a lie). But he’s an intern for/works at Oscorp because thats the only way he’ll have access to his parent’s research, even though Norman doing that is illegal because they left everything to Peter - as we found out in a discussion between Peter and Tony in a diner. They’re close and Tony’s been trying to get peter to work for him for a while. One day, Peter is at the tower working and Cassie Lange gets lost and Scott freaks out that Peter brings her back but then Tony’s like chill that’s Spider-Man. And Peter and Ned have another diner convo where peter pretends to not be sad but Ned knows he’s upset because him and MJ broke up. That’s as much as I remember now. I was 5 chapters at one point then the author edited it down to 3 but that was a long time ago
I remember this fic all the time and would love to re-read it so any help is appreciated!! Thanks all!! Smooches

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything but do other people who grew up in music find themselves critiquing how people breathe subconsciously? Like I grew up singing so I had “take quick, deep, low breaths whenever you can,” drilled into me and it’s just bled into regular life.
Like I know everyone picks it up when someone is breathing loudly but like if they take short breaths, how deep their resting breaths are, stuff like that. Ik that sounds super weird, it’s something I just noticed about myself
#music#singing#choir#choir kids#the way that he breathes? whack#and he definitely can’t skate transition

Ironically, as a child Peter never cared much for any of the Peter Pan stories-the movie, any of the books, any of the musicals, none of it. However, during his Freshman year of high school through his love of theatre he discovered Peter and The Starcatcher and he absolutely adores it. He finds comfort in knowing that everyone has a home, and if they don’t, they can make one as they learn and grow and live with the people around them. He loves how the childishness he was robbed of as an actual child can be returned to him, even if it’s just for two hours (whether or not those two hours come in the form of an illegally recorded YouTube video is no one’s business. The only illegal activity he supports is vigilantism and bootlegging). He loves the demonstration of how similar situations can form either villains or heroes, and how thin the dividing line truly can be. When he first became Spider-Man, the play helped he come to terms with the fact that no one person is completely good or completely bad: that everyone exists in shades of gray. Whenever someone questions why he pulls his punches or lets Flash say what he does, the play comes to mind, but he simply states that he knows that there’s a lot he doesn’t know, and that he’s okay with that.

The first time Peter and Shuri met was after everything with Thanos died down, briefly between debriefing meetings and victory parties. After making semi-awkward eye contact (awkward mainly on Peter’s part-dying, coming back, meeting a bunch of strangers, and then listening to a bunch of uptight federal agent-people of different countries talk about nothing he cares about, because frankly all he cares about right now is hugging Mr. Stark, eating Thai with May, watching Clone Wars with Ned, and sharing conspiracy theories with MJ, can be quite draining) they gravitate towards each other based on the knowledge that they’re the only ones old enough to truly understand Meme Culture™️. Once the party starts they sit next to each other, and as they share a bowl of Cheetos Shuri starts roasting each individual they’re both familiar with. Peter mainly stays quiet except for a few small laughs and side comments...until Shuri gets to Bucky. Shuri is silent for a moment and Peter can’t really tell if she genuinely can’t think of something worth saying or if she’s waiting for him to fill the gap, so he seized the opportunity and timidly says, “His hair...wack, his gear...wack, his jewelry...wack, his foot stance...wack, the way that he talks...wack, the way that he doesn’t even like to smile...wack. Me? I’m tight as FUCK!”
A couple of heads turn at Peter’s loud proclamation of “fuck!” but Shuri can only stare in amazement at this shy, awkward, from what she knows-geeky white boy. She wasn’t expecting him to say anything, much less what’s practically a meme monologue. Due to the silence Peter starts freaking out, thinking that he just completely scared her away with his, quite frankly, depressingly extensive knowledge of memes (especially when he should have more pressing matters to worry about after being dead for about five years). But then Shuri adds, “And he definitely can’t skate transition!”
However, their friendship is forever locked-in when a group of people are gathered in a circle listening to some of Steve and Bucky’s old war stories when Shuri leans over to Peter and whispers, “His arm...wack,” and Peter bursts into tears from the effort of not hysterically bursting into laughter.
