I can't believe there's now someone officially worse than Ken Penders, in terms of people who've been involved with the Sonic franchise. But even with Penders, his "crimes" were mostly bad writing and art, having an ego, and saying really embarrassing and cringeworthy shit online. Not knowingly abetting a pedophile who used to work at Nickelodeon by pleeing to a judge to significantly reduce his sentence, and going so as far as to blame the victim while doing so; unlike James Marsden.
I am so tired of seeing popular fandom people be like “omg I’ll stop talking lol 🫣🤭” about something and then immediately have like ten people saying no go on and encourage them when I’ve seen like so many actual small time artists and people who talked about that same exact thing and there were crickets the entire fucking time. I feel for them; I really do.
I haven’t seen a similar post on tumblr, but here’s a few places to donate money and find means to support those in Palestine-
Pious Project provides menstrual care kits as well as soap, shampoo, disinfectants, etc
Gaza Esims lets you donate Esims- these are used to connect to the internet and keep communication going in and out of the country
Operation Olive Branch is a spreadsheet of Gofundmes for families seeking funds to flee the country, each having a link to sponsor them
Here's a reading list from Decolonize Palestine
Stop Gaza Genocide is a google doc that is constantly updated, which includes how to contact representatives, how to protest, and various activist resources (US centric)
Samidoun provides a constantly updating calendar of protests, and you can submit ones not listed if there’s a protest happening near you (Global)
UNRWA and Care for Gaza are orgs that directly provide general aid and food
Lastly, while not inherently about Palestine, I do want to encourage everyone reading this that If you see a post regarding Palestine- a video, a photo, a livestream, a text post- Archive it with the Wayback Machine. When digital information is prone to deletion and censorship, we cannot afford to lose something as valuable as knowledge.
"doesnt israel have a right to exist too??" well its an apartheid ethnostate so no
"what about the people dont the PEOPLE have a right to exist??" yes! they do! however, they do not have a right to an apartheid ethnostate
"what about the holocaust survivors in israel dont they-" yes they have a right to exist too, however surviving one genocide does not give you the right to commit another, nor does it give you the right to an apartheid ethnostate
in honor of the global shutdown for palestine i will not be posting art today. instead, remember to:
do your daily click
donate to care for gaza
purchase esims; heres a helpful guide to do that
any amount you can donate helps! even 5 bucks! if theres a march near you, attend that if you can! keep boycotting, keep protesting, and keep palestine in your hearts and minds!
It’s feels so insignificant to have this struggle but I’m getting my period soon and there’s no place to buy cotton/pads or the specific painkillers I get and it’s so so cold my pre cramps are already killing me. It makes me feel so helpless. [@/ Dicktator117 on X. 12/28/23.]
“Periods Don't Stop for Conflict” I remember this headline addressing women's health in Ukraine. Not a peep out of those same agencies about Sudanese & Palestinian women struggling in war/conflict zones.
#KeepEyesOnSudan [@/ RightUpMyAlley on X.]
I created a link for a gofundme happening right now to ensure Period Care reaches folks who need it in Sudan, and I will re-post this here for folks who can share and/or support:
This link here will lead you to this post of where you can support/send funds so that period care reaches those who need it in [Palestine] and other areas as well.
