“I think about it all the time. What it must have been like to be inside my mom. Warm and soft and floating in water.” As he spoke, he wrapped himself in the fuzzy blanket on Evan’s bed. “I really really love my Mom, Evan.” He paused. “It hurts that I’m not the son that she wanted.” He sighed. “I wish I could go back. To being a perfect little baby.” He sniffled.
Evan blinked. That was going into... interesting territory. He wasn’t sure what to make of it or what to say. He loved his mom too but... he had a feeling Connor meant something else. Evan chewed the inside of his cheek, “Well, I mean, we all have to grow up s-sometime. No one’s perfect but we make do with what we have. Try to be better people.” He didn’t know if he was making any sense but right now, nothing did.

“Alright, I’m not sure where that is so lead the way!” Davey said. He could tell Evan hadn’t excepted him to help carry these, but that didn’t stop Davey from helping out.
Evan paused, and gave a quick glance at Davey. “Oh. Um, okay.” He started walking, unsure how fast he should keep his pace. “Th-Thanks. For helping carry this for me.”

sdhs-moritz‌:
Going to the park had been an impulse decision for Moritz, but it wasn’t a bad one, especially when there were cute ducks. Not really thinking about it, he had stepped up next to another boy to get a bit closer to them. He hadn’t at all expected to be acknowledged and so when the other offered the can to him, he flinched in surprise. Good one, Moritz. A bit embarrassed (and very anxious), a part of him wanted to quickly shake his head and get out of there as fast as possible, but… a bigger part of him really wanted to feed the cute ducks. So instead, he put on the best ‘no i’m not nervous at all in fact i’m perfectly normal’ smile he could muster and nodded.
The boy, Evan’s felt like he’s seen him before. Then again, this town wasn’t too big. There were always familiar faces -- especially in A La Mode. It was both calming and unnerving. If that made any sense. He could tell the boy seemed nervous, ready to bail by the looks of it, but he’d accepted the can anyway and Evan smiled back in what he hoped looked like a friendly manner. He pointed at the duck at the far left, keeping to himself compared to the others that crowded for food. “This one’s shy. H-He wont eat anything if it’s with, um, with the rest so we gotta give him his own share.” Evan explained.

“Where are you going?” Davey asked. He knew he’d already be late to class anyways, why not at least help this kid out. He knew Evan clearly wasn’t even excepting any help and he wanted to give this boy what Davey wanted. Just a little help
“Um, the auditorium.” Evan replied, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, eyes cast down. “I-I need to deliver these.” He waited awkwardly for Davey to give him the fallen box, bringing his arms a bit forward in gesture.

The Park
The park was one of the best parts of this town. At least for Evan and he was bias when it came to these things. He loved coming here by himself. Especially the first time he'd moved into town. There was a sense of familiarity that grounded him to the present, keeping him calm. Nowadays, however, he was simply there for the ducks. Evan was crouched near the pond, a can of corn tucked in his arm with his free hand feeding the waddling creatures. Sometimes children came up to feed them too. The person next to him was not a child from the looks of it but Evan still stopped to offer his can and motioned with his head at the ducks, "W-Would you like to feed them?"

sdhs-connormurphy‌:
A little sting settled in his heart. If he could have kissed Evan for longer he would have. So much longer. But…that was just the way Evan was. Jared had even said it himself. It wasn’t Connor, it was Evan, just the way Evan was. He smiled. “We? Like as in parents of the moss ball?” He smiled. “I’d like that. A lot.”
A blush rose on his cheeks. He didn’t mean it like that -- hadn’t even thought of it -- but Connor seemed to not mind and so Evan left it at that, knowing that if he opened his mouth then, it would ruin the moment and make things awkward. He cleared his throat and shuffled the jar in his hands nervously, “Um. Well, i-if you want. I just -- I’m kinda bad with names.”

Connor laughed and shook his head. “No. It’s not weird. You might be feeling it more because of the drugs, but it’s not weird. It feels nice for me too.” He sighed and rested on Evan’s chest. “Your heart beat sounds nice. Ev? Did you ever think about what it must have been like before you were born?”
The drugs. That made sense. And gave a small thrill in thinking how he just did drugs. With Connor. He tilts his head to the side, considering, “I... I don’t think so.” He admits. I’ve thought of what it’d be like if I was gone, though. “But I guess it wasn’t a fun time. N-Not like it’s very fun right now  but, y’know. You?” Before he was born, there must’ve been a time of happiness for his mom and dad. Mom always said it wasn’t his fault that the divorce happened but it’s sometimes hard to believe her. She ran away with someone she loved and it was only after he was born that everything started to crumble.

“That’s... that’s good? I think. No yeah, it’s good. B-Better than before.”

“No, he brought a joint. Two, actually.”

“Well, you need enough light at the right angle to illuminate your features so you aren’t in shadow while also not being a washed-out mess.”
“Um. Okay.” Evan replied, looking at his phone then at Jared. “Well it’s getting dark so there’s no n-natural light. Should we do this tomorrow or is my bedroom light and lamp good enough?”

Davey lifted his head up from his phone where he was reading his work schedule for the week to see Evan struggling with some boxes. He recognized Evan from the hallway but he didn’t know him too well. “Yeah, of course.” Davey replied, not one to leave someone in need without help.
"Thanks." Evan said with a relieved sigh. He was afraid he'd be ignored -- it's happened before. "The box. Could you give it to me?" It would make it a bit hard to see where he was going but he'd memorized the school's layout at this point and knew which place was where.

A Little Help
OPEN STARTER
It was hard to see where he was going with all the boxes he was carrying, stacked up in his arms. They were just three but quite big. Filled with supplies for Coach's next class. For a guy with a cast, it was a surprise he'd managed this far but then he tripped and one of the boxes fell over. "Oy lo." He mumbled, peering over the second box to look for the third. Thank God they're all tapped. But it would be hell trying to get it. He lifted his head and saw a person approaching. "Um, e-excuse me! Can you--? Um. Can you help me?"

Carrie nodded. “That sounds perfect. I’ll meet you by the statues out front of it, then?” she asked. That was where everyone always met for the library, so she assumed Evan would be no different. She smiled in return. “What are you thinking about?”
He blinked back to reality, cheeks pinking, “N-Nothing. Just... My pet. Moss. Ball.” Really? But Evan couldn’t dwell on it as the bell rang right after. “I’ll see you there.” He said and got up from his seat. The students were already dispersing as their teacher called out to them to remind them of the project’s deadline and the quiz tomorrow.

sdhs-connormurphy‌:
Connor blushed pink and kissed Evan’s neck again. He felt an impulse to ask Evan how he was feeling. But he didn’t. Instead, he snuggled closer into Evan’s chest. “You are so handsome,” he murmured with yet a third neck kiss.
Evan burried his face in Connor's hair, the blush rising to the tips of his ears. He didn't know what to say to that -- or rather, he couldn't think to say anything at all. There was that slight tingle every time he felt Connor's lips on his neck. "That feels n-nice." He quietly confessed when he found his voice before realizing how dumb that might've sounded and adding, "I must be weird. Ignore that. I'm sorry."

He laughed, “Alright, Mr. Perfect. Please help me out? I d-don’t think I know the difference between good and bad lighting.”
