“As "The Goonies" turns forty, its message lands with renewed urgency. In an era where many feel cast out or left behind, the film offers a thrilling, heartwarming reminder that a better world is possible, but only if we build it together. Goonies never say die, not because they’re invincible, but because they refuse to go it alone.”

“In that hour of trial it was the love of his master that helped most to hold him firm; but also deep down in him lived still unconquered his plain hobbit-sense: he knew in the core of his heart that he was not large enough to bear such a burden, even if such visions were not a mere cheat to betray him. The one small garden of a free gardener was all his need and due, not a garden swollen to a realm; his own hands to use, not the hands of others to command.“
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, “The Tower of Cirith Ungol”

Not only are they cutting assistance to the already struggling and marginalized, they are giving even bigger tax breaks to the wealthy, CEOs and corporations!

The cruelty is staggering. Republicans can only lose 3 Senate votes on Trump's Big Ugly Bill — and these senators are the most vulnerable in 2026: -Collins (ME) -Tillis (NC) -Sullivan (AK) -Husted (OH) -Moody (FL) -Cornyn (TX) -Ernst (IA) If they represent you, tell them to vote NO. (202) 224-3121

In the mid 2000s, Sean Astin recorded the voice of Rover the cat for the animated film “Cat Tale.” The star-studded cast included Stanley Tucci, Billy Idol, Fred Willard, Alan Cumming, David Cross, Jerry O’Connell, Donna Summer, Gilbert Gorrfried, Rip Torn, Jim Cummings, Elisha Cuthbert and Catherine O’Hara. WOW! Unfortunately, the studio went bankrupt, and the film was never completed. A trailer, however, does exist!

How do you know what was or wasn’t legal in the Shire at the end of the third age? Sam was mayor of Michel Delving for 49 years. He could probably make whatever laws he wanted!
