I have it, and would love to actually try it fully, but right now from what I saw it seems kind of dead and a meme fest that doesn’t actually do real cases which is a shame. That or you have to go to a site and download a bunch of music and textures. But maybe I just missed those servers that actually play decently.

Breaking News from the latest Nintendo Direct! The first paid DLC is coming to Splatoon 2 this summer. Players will take on the role of an Octoling for the very first time in this large-scale downloadable content! This full-on single-player adventure spans 80 missions starring Agent 8, a new character who awakens without her memories on a dark subway platform. Navigate this mysterious underground test facility in a desperate battle to reach the surface of Inkopolis. Escape from these twisted depths, and it seems you’ll finally be able to join multiplayer matches as an Octoling! How is this possible!? Does this mean we now need an Octopus Research branch too?

In addition to paid DLC, the Nintendo Direct presentation also included details on a major free update (Version 3.0) coming late April that will bring 100+ new pieces of gear, more stages rolling out throughout spring (Piranha Pit, Camp Triggerfish and Wahoo World) and a new rank (Rank X). Rank X appears to be an extreme rank, even higher than S+.

I haven’t played splatoon 2 in a long time, despite enjoying it a lot. I’ve missed multiple splatfests, many weapon releases and so much more. But now, that changes tonight. The fact that a new expansion that adds octolings has just been announced is just a happy coincidence no lie

It's actually believed that because of how old Octavio is, he and by extension captain cuttlefish can't change back

Why do you think octoling eyes look so different from normal octarian eyes?

The eyes of most octarians are similar to the Octopus form of an Octoling

This probably means that the Octarians are in the same “state” as an Octopus form. They can’t go further than that…

Then we have a middle point with DJ Octavio and the Octo Samurai, because they look more expresive and focused, but still in a octopus form
