I finally sat down to paint for the first time in months! Months!!! I took an old sketch off my laptop and traced it to some watercolor paper. Then I went at it with all of my favorite reds and golds! So I've been kinda artist blocked for a few... weeks now. Nothing comes out right. I get 3/4 into a project and *poof* it sucks. BUT THIS ONE I actually really enjoyed start to finish! I really love all the contrast and lines! I especially love the dots in the center of left poppy!

As Sara pointed out, since I only draw these guys once a year (on her birthday <3) it’s interesting to see how they change according to my art style…! Anyway, they’re looking hella cute this year. I loved drawing Echo’s can-opener nose and Freya’s little button.

It's a little /risque/ but I'm really happy with this one so far of course this is only a digital sketch that will be transferred to paper and painted... But I'm really digging it so far! #surfacepro3 #sketches

From #surfacepro3 to #watercolor !! Really loving this one. It's soft and ethereal the cape looks just perfect. I had to make a few 'ugly colors' to make it work but I love the effect. #galaxy #watercolorpainting #watercolorillustrations
