MUMS 26/2 w.9
Today I met up with a few people in the group to tell them about my ideas for next weeks Thursday activity, which I’ve been put in charge of. It is the day before International Womens day, so I’ll be organizing some crafts and projects themed around feminism for people coming to the café! Today we ordered the supplies I will be needing, as well sorting out some general plans. Excited to see where this goes!

MUMS - 19/2 w. 8
This week we started actually furnishing what will soon be Halmstads newest café! We went to Erikshjälpens Second Hand to buy some sofas, arm chairs and porcelain for the food we will be serving. Getting everything from Erikshjälpen into Nolltrefem was difficult but it worked out in the end, it certainly was a long day. Seeing our vision come to life is so much fun! We have a few things left to fix, hopefully we’ll be ready for opening day next week!

MUMS 1st meeting! 11/2

MUMS Fika - 1st meeting! 11/2 -19
These are pictures from my first meeting with the MUMS crew! We planned out how we want to furnish the café, what things we need to buy for the kitchen, what ideas we have for activities and performances and much much more. Really fun to be involved with something which I know a lot of youngsters in Halmstad will enjoy!

UN club x2 - week 6 and 7
Last week (5/2) I attended my very first meeting with the school’s UN club! They filled me in on what they do in the school and what their goals are, and it was nice to contribute with some ideas I have heard the class speaking about (recycling paper issues etc..). This week, we had a “Resolutionsstuga” where we helped students who are participating in the UN roleplay after the break with their resolutions. A lot of people came, and it was so interesting to hear about every country! I have already learned a lot about the UN’s influence on the school, and I’m looking forward to more meetings.

CAS Fair 2019 21/1
Once again, I don’t have a picture as evidence but I hope this reflection is still valid. Today I attended the annual CAS fair and volunteered to be a guide for the politician and executive director (förvaltningschef?) who also attended. As a student ambassador for the IB and the school, it felt natural to tell them all I know about the IB, but figuring out when to go where and what would interest them most was actually a bit difficult. In the end I enjoyed myself and felt as if I had made them more comfortable in the situation. I also put up my own artwork to showcase alongside other art from my fellow IB friends. Overall it was a really nice CAS fair!

Open house at Sannarp! 17/11 w. 46
Unfortunately, I do not have a picture from the event, but I volunteered to represent the IB at Sannarps open house this term! Having been a student ambassador for the school and the IB since DP1, it was a familiar experience. What surprised me though was the seriousness of some of the students and parents that came up to us and asked questions - DP19 will definitely have some bright students! Since I’m in my last year I felt like I had some more input on the future prospects which the IB might bring, so in that way I was more informative. Looking forward to representing IB and Sannarp more before I graduate!

CREATIVITY / DRAWING / w.11
Another sketch I made this week, I actually really liked the subtle effect that drawing with a brown pen made, and I like the look of the character as well! I tried to pay attention to where I was making my marks since I didn’t sketch in pencil beforehand, I’ve found that this is a nice way to test how I actually draw as it takes away the opportunity of erasing and redoing over and over again.

CREATIVITY / D&D / w.10
First session after a really long break! It felt really nice to get together with everyone again, and this time with a new member! We didn’t really progress very far in the story, and we all agreed on trying to be more productive next time :)

CREATIVITY / DRAWING / w.10
I decided to challenge myself with practising gestures and poses quickly using a website which gives you pictures for reference and changes the picture after 60 seconds. The purpose is to get better at capturing the essence of whatever you’re trying to draw and as youc an see, I really need some more practice ! To relax after that I decided to draw something familiar which is just a regular face, but I like how it turned out!

ACTIVITY & CREATIVITY / DANCING / w.9
Blurry picture but I started learning a new dance last week! I also continued choreographing my own dance for a song, which is fun but very difficult.Only managed to dance once but I’ll definitely dance more this week.

CREATIVITY / DRAWING / w.9
Here is one of my sketches for week 9! Wanted to try having a limited colour palette and sketching in a different colour than black. I used a picture in my phone for reference, and I think it looks pretty cool! Of course it’s not a finished piece, but sketching is always very relaxing and fun :)

CREATIVITY,ACTIVITY / DANCING & DRAWING / SPORTLOV W.8
Here’s a collection of the CAS I’ve been doing this week. It’s not much, and I haven’t drawn nearly as much as I wanted to for various reasons but I’ll be back on it soon.
I’ve started learning a few new dances and I’ve been feeling a bit slow on my feet, but that is also getting better the more I dance. As for this drawing, I’ve noticed that my more relaxed and sketchy drawing actually turn out to be my favorite! Might try to expand on that idea later.

ACTIVITY / DANCE @ 035 / w.5
Dancing will now be my main activity for the “activity” strand since I’ve found that dancing for a couple hours every week actually provides more of a workout than going to the gym for me. This will of course be included in a reflection soon.
This week I really wanted to dance because I have been sick and really felt like moving! I was a bit more tired than usual but still managed to start learning a new dance :)

CREATIVITY / SKETCHBOOK / W. 4
Didn’t draw as much as I would’ve usually this week, but that’s mostly because I’ve been sick. Started with practicing hands (which I’ve never done before so it was really difficult!) and then went on to practice some gesture and forms based off of various images I found on google. Felt nice to do something i wasn’t used to and really starting with anatomy.
