Czy strzelanina w Parkland odmieni losy Stanów? Pierwszy raz w historii dzieciaki dochodzą do głosu i mówią otwarcie "Pierdolcie się politycy, właśnie teraz jest czas na rozmowę o prawie do posiadania broni". Wiadomo jak amerykański establishment mówi o tych wszystkich strzelaninach. „WE HAVE TO PRAY”. „RESPECT THE VICTIMS, IT’S NOT THE TIME FOR DISCUSSION ABOUT GUN CONTROL”. A później dochodzi do kolejnego pogromu. Znowu w szkole.

Zaryzykuję stwierdzenia, że duży wpływ na w końcu słyszalny głos uczniów miały social media. Z tej masakry była masa relacji, twitów i zdjęć, które przebiły się do mainstreamu, a przede wszystkim trafiały do rówieśników ofiar strzelaniny. Te materiały może nie wpływają pozytywnie na młodsze przypadkowe dzieciaki, ale myśląc długofalowo to może mieć pozytywne skutki. Jest szansa, że politycy, lobbyści i „media sprzyjające” mogą mieć problem z uciszeniem młodych na ich podwórku. No i świadomość wśród młodych rośnie.

Platformy SoMe stały się też forum szczerych, nieskrępowanych głosów nastolatków. It’s not a shame to write „fuck your politics” anymore. ///eng:

Is something about to change after the Parkland massacre? Probably it’s for the first time in the history of mass shootings, when finally kids are being heard. And they speak openly to the politicians „fuck you, now is the time to talk about the gun control laws”. It’s a well-known fact, what American establishment does after every shoot-out… „WE HAVE TO PRAY”. „PAY RESPECT TO THE VICTIMS, IT’S NOT THE PROPER TIME FOR A DISCUSSION ABOUT GUN CONTROL”. Yeah, right. And after that comes another slaughter. In school, again.  

It goes as far as to say, that this time it may be different, because of social media channels. There were lots of stories, twits and photos from the scene. And they made it to the mainstream media. What is even more important: kids have seen them. They know, that danger is out there and the same story could happen to their school. This kind of materials can affect children, but thinking in a long-term it surely should have positive consequences. There is a chance, that politicians, lobbyists and some media will have a problem to quiet teens down. Especially, cause the discussion happens in youngsters backyard.  SoMe channels also became a forum for honest, unfettered voices for teenagers (like it wouldn’t be before?). It’s not a shame to write „fuck your politics” anymore.  

Stop praying, start changing.
