Introducing Moi To The Blogging Community

Here I am alive, awake and well!
Ready to share with you my nightmare and carousel.
Thereâs more to my name and vessel
I hope you can see beyond those mist, potions and spell.
A, B, C, D, E, F too clichĂ©, ordinary and boring. Canât you see?
Letâ go to the worlds that Iâve travelled and the battles that Iâve conquered. Letâs start with Z.
Z is for Zealous, the emotion I feel in pursuit of happiness.
By the way my happy color is brown itâs my safe haven from loneliness.
X mark in the map shows where the treasure is
When I use my heart and mind, thereâs no goal that I never miss
Science makes me smart and math makes me accurate
The space between it is writing, itâs where Iâm incredibly Au fait.
Y looks like lines in a network cross; a node
If youâll ask me why I didnât choose writing and went to A different road
Its cause I want to help people directly by preserving mortality
Instead of playing with words ,wondering if they will understand me.
West is where the sun sets therefore I will sail towards the end of the world.
Sail against the currents where I cannot be swirled
I want to seek the truth of my existence and knowledge that Iâve never been told
Iâm not like others, my passion and curiosity can never be sold.
V is for my 5 principles in life in search for the great manifestum
1.Willingness will fly you to the moon, 2.be different and break custom
3.Vouchsafe memories and people, 4.I crave for peopleâs honesty
5.And death is not the antithesis of life so donât lose your sanity
U is for âuniqueâ which reminds me of the way I think
Iâm not crazy ,I just understand the depth of emotions, I sync
Unlike otherâs Iâm not wealthy popular, mesmerizing and preppy
Iâm just me; a combination of art and poetry
These days I feel at ease and blessed
For Iâve just unshackled the handcuffs of misery and dread embedded
I was saved by my family, certain friends and a mere stranger
I want to return the favor by staying alive until the present becomes the future
Sky is my gate away scenery for it bares faces not the same
Its unpredictable and one of the few things no one can claim
So I say if the sky has a reason for existing, even though its unfit
Why cant I? I have brains on my head and shoes on my feet
Remember this will strengthen you:
Quaver
Pain
Odd
Nudity
Manners
Laboring
Kindness
Judgement
And this doesnât:
Immorality
Harshness
Greed
Falsity
Egocentric
Discourteous
Corrupt
Betrayal
A name doesnât define who I am, nor the same people that bares it
No matter how many malwares and haywires. I, Andrea does not forfeit.
I am no north star, big dipper, Orion nor the moon
Cause Iâm a daytime shooting star; the one of a kind boon.
Q and A with Dei~
1. Â Â Where do you myself 10 years from now? Was learning in SPUP vital to where Iâm heading at?
- Â Â Â Honestly though? Iâm gonna be that person inside the train who stands out. Not because of my beauty nor the way I look but because while everyone is frowning and complaining about their day, I am smiling. Smiling about the things that Iâve learned and the people I helped in the hospital today. Â Yes! Iâm gonna be a medical doctor- an orthopaedic surgeon hopefully.
I am from CSU-Gonzaga; a public school. Iâve experienced four years of studying without books as a source of reference. Some of our teachers are too old or too new to know what teaching is all about so 1/8 of my academic life is just plainly sitting for nothing. But here in St. Paul University Philippines, the teachers are very strict and industrious. They take no for an answer and starts teaching while the clock is still ticking. Of course every institution has its own downside slope but nonetheless, it doesnât change the fact that Iâve learned a lot in SPUP not only academically but also socially for it really values attitude the same as education.
2. Â Â Was STEM the best choice after all?
- Â Â Â Itâs normal to have doubts and second thoughts for the path that you will choose in this crossroad will shape of most of your life. Despite the countless times I played ennie-minnie-miney-moe I am sure that STEM is the best choice after all for it covrs the medical courses. Choosing the right strand is very vital after all for it plays a great role in preparing us for the tough fight in college. STEM helps me broaden my knowledge specially about the 4 main subjects, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Calculus. I know medical courses do not have CALCULUS but my former teacher said that tis still important if you want to take the National Medical Admission Test which I hope to take and pass if God will let me.
3. Â Â What course will you take in college?
- Â Â Â Before telling you what my course is, let me tell you a story about me. My father is a mechanical engineer ,my sister is a petroleum engineering student and as for me? They aspire for me to be also an engineer but thereâs an enormous problem, I have a very bad traumatic experience from my math teacher. It haunts me too much that it made me despise and fear math leading to my poor performance towards it. I feel pressured cause I know that the course im gonna choose will be my job until the day I die. And while salt stings my eyes, I started connecting the dots. I thought to myself, âthe universe doesnât revolve on math alone. My weakness is just a speck of what I am and my strengths are biggerâ. And thatâs when I found my REAL self, that I want a work where I interact with real people and not computers. Iâve realized that I want to be a medical doctor by taking nursing as my pre-med course and take it step by step until I succeed. Â I want to help other people directly and I want to show them that everyone, despite their standings in life have the right for mortality. And that hospitals doesnât exist for money, it mainly exist to help prolong other peopleâs life.
Scared , disappointed, doubtful are the emotions that I felt in the course of finding my path in life but it is worth it. Being certain about the woman you want to be in the future is overwhelming. And now that Iâve chosen it, I need to fight for winter is coming.
4. Â Â What topic would you like to know more in this subject?
- Â Â Â Iâm guessing it is creating a fully functional website using html? Â Iâve created a website before but itâs not a functional one because our teacher didnât taught us about it. We just created it out of pure imagination and self-study. I want to more about it than just simple/basic codes
5. Â Â Ask sir Carlos anything?
- Â Â Â Whatâs the silliest app you had thought of making?
-we are all enigmas waiting to be deciphered-

Blog #3:Â WONDER
Movie Review:
Some say August Pullman won the lottery backwards or something, but I say he didnât. August or Auggie for short loves space. He is just an ordinary 10 year old kid who loves star wars, biking, playing in his xbox and loves science. But the thing about Auggie is no ordinary kid or so they say because of the way he looks which also affected the way he perceives himself. But as the scenes progresses and as the scenes evolve, Auggie too will also morph . The thing about this movie that makes is stand out the most just like Auggie did is because it revolves around different people concerning Auggie. I love how they did it because a personâs story is just another half of truth and that it differs from person to person thus creating a movie which has a very complex and truthful  story. I think this is one of the reasons that made me say that the movie is INDEED GREAT. It is a one of a kind movie that succeeds on almost every level where each heart breaking scene, actor and the cinematography is one big chunk of gold that made the film worth viewing all over again although there are some lapses like why did Jack Will did what he did and about some of the scenes that are too fast for its own good.
In a nutshell, itâs a movie where every corner you turn requires you to shed a tear. It is very truthful and inspiring as it can be. That courage, persevere and understanding is all it takes to change yourself to be a better person and eventually the world. Moreover, itâs the little things that matter the most.
1.What life lessons can be learned from the movie?
Actually the movie is so inspirational that I lose track of all lessons thatâs been said and done so Iâm just choosing 3 points.
âYour deeds are your monumentsâ. When weâre older, people can forget our names, our faces and who we are but they will never forget the feelings they felt when they are with us. All humans are scared of oblivion but you will never be forgotten if you used your time wisely to spread good deeds. Itâs not about what we think and say but itâs all about what weâll do that will leave people in awe.
âGreatness is not being strong but using strength to carry the most heartsâ. Being pretty, wealthy and popular donât measure your greatness. It is all about how you make use of these certain advantages to serve others. Greatness comes by the good deeds that you committed and the number of lives you have touched. There are more to greatness than the word itself.
âWe all need a standing ovation at least once in our lifeâ. I guess the right word is âdeserveâ, we deserve a standing ovation at least once. And that doesnât pertains to people standing up and clapping their hands. Itâs about the look of the people around us. Itâs the awe and the respect they give you that makes it magical.  Itâs also about being happy for we all deserve it.
2. What part of the story told by the movie was the most powerful? Why?
I know people will usually pick the scene where Auggie spewed âwe all deserve to have a standing ovationâ but I choose differently. The scene who has the most powerful impact for me is when Julian and his parents had a talk with Mr. Tushman. I wanted to give a high five for standing his ground when Julianâs mother is bribing him. He stood for what he know is right, not caring at all about what will happen next. I also really like the part when Mr. Tushman said that Auggie cant change the way he looks but they can change the way they see. I really like this part because it coincides with my favorite  quote which is âthose who mind will never understand, and those who understand will never mindâ. Letâs break stereotypes! Let us practice looking at other people using epoche. You cannot tell-tale a personâs life just because you knew his flaws. Let us focus on the bright side, the consecutive words that are located after the junction;âbutâ.
3. Who was your favorite character in the movie? Why?
If I could pick one, it will definitely be Via. As they say she is âthe most understanding girl. I was really moved by her, specially when she said that âAugust is the sun. My mom, dad and me are planets orbiting the sun but I love my brother and Iâm used to how this universe worksâ. It really shows how pure she is as a sister and a daughter because not once that she pointed her fingers at her brother nor to her parents who has no time for her. One time, I expected her to throw a tantrum in front of her brother (itâs Halloween) but I expected wrong.  Even though it is her that wanted attention and help coming from others, she just shrugged it off and comforted Auggie. She has this great atmosphere around her that conceals her problems and converts it into something GOOD. But the thing that caught me the most is the fact that she can stand on her own without stooping other peopleâs faces nor feelings, or what you call the âindependent heroineâ.
4. Did anything that happened in the movie reminded you something that has occurred in your own life or that you have seen occur to others?
Miranda is the only character in the movie that has a problem that wasnât implanted by the world or other factors other than herself. As I was watching Miranda, I thought something was familiar about her life and so a friend came to my mind. Letâs hid his identity as âJanusâ; the Roman god of of Deception. Itâs just too sad that he pretends to be something he is not just so other people can accept him. Just like a broken computer, he started fixing himself but thereâs nothing to be fixed in the first place. He didnât just lied to the people around him but also to himself. His heart and mind is jumbled that he is getting out of hand, heâs getting haywired. No magical potions of Apollo can mend his shattered identity. The only way to heal is acceptance and honesty.
PS. We lost contact but I still wish for him to be GENUINELY happy.
PPS. Youâre my friend, I love you and if youâre troubleshooting, I can be your command prompt.
5. If you had a chance to as a character in this movie, what would it be?
So this question is directed to Jack Will. Why did you back stabbed Auggie Pullman when you enjoy his company? In the first place, why are you hanging out with Julian? I thought you hated him.

Blog #2: Whatâs My Fave App I Guess?
As an artist, pinterest is like a universal library that everyone wants to explore. When I ran out of ideas or when I want to create something new, I will never have a hard time jumping from websites to websites searching for that relative art. In addition to that, the arts in pinterest are posted by the owner himself/herself therefore you can have the opportunity to interact. You can ask him some questions or suggestions related to the topic he posted. And if you have found someone with the same interest as yours, you can always open their clipboards and voila! You have found a gallery with a thousand answers to you question.
For a cogitative person like me; a person who thinks a lot, philosophically- pinterest is the right fit.  Pinterest also have a wide variety of quotes and perceptives about philosophy and what-not. Personally when I write poems or essays, I usually rely on pinterest because it has a vast array of ideas. Do you know the words âabsquatulateâ? A verb that means-to leave without saying goodbye. Not only that it helps use gather ideas but it also encourages people to review their daily vocabularies because there are a lot of new words that can express the way we feel but are not advertise well thus remained forgotten.
Itâs like a printed portfolio. It is tangible and interactive. In most cases, files or images stored in our tech devices are not interactive nor that it can easily managed. But not in pinterest. If you like something, you can pin it (save it) and sort it in your boards according to the topic. In that way, if you want to recall something, you can easily click your board and search for the article that you want to view.
Applications make our lives better. Let us use it in the best way that we can but let us equate it. For us; the new generation, we must not let technology dictate the pace of our life . For our life is not a game that can easily win over and start as you please.

Blog post #5: SHORT TERM 12
Movie Review
Everyday , many children suffers different kinds abuse from their surroundings. So thus adults, there are a lot of them who are still imprisoned by their childhood memories thus creating a barrier in communicating and building relationships with others. short
Short term 12 is movie that deals with these kind of situation. Grace is a twenty-something woman who was once a victim of sexual abuse from her father works in a facility where they take care of children who are underpriviledge. In the beginning, Grace will portray how perfect her life is -her morning routine and that is to guide and to inspire youths who dealt the same way she did and her relationship with his long term boyfriend. Everything seems too balance, as if something is off. Thatâs when a new character enters the picture, she is Jayden. Jayden is not like any other kid in that facility, she holds a greater grief and mourn than any of them to the point that she already closed her doors. And as new problems arose from Jaydenâs life, Grace is there to help her out. With this, the two began to have an outstanding relationship. What more to it is that as shocking as it may seem, the two girls had the same experience and Graceâs life started to fall apart when she realized Jayden represents her younger self. Grace now then struggled breaking free from the nightmares that hunts her at night, making her almost lose her job, her fiancĂ© and the girl whom she really wants to help. Despite all the up and downs, in the end the people she helped are nowhere near misery.  She too are trying to live a new life away from fears and anxiety.
Out of all the three movies, this really caught me off guard. Its too creative and poetic that I am speechless. It has different sides which makes you rethink about what you believed in. The film is too realistic but too optimistic in the same time.
 1. What life lessons can be learned from the movie?
I think that the most important lesson in this movie is that you should always conquer your fear. One way to stop something from coming back is by exterminating it from the source and that is your fears. And it is always accompanied by the willingness of the person in hand. I believe that there is no problem too big nor ocean too wide. Its just up to you if youâre willing to take the risk and to break any borders in the path. Your willingness to change is the foundation of your soul and body; the motherboard of the pc. Once you have retrieved it, everything falls into place. Donât let your nightmares swallow you whole. You and the people you love are greater than all of your nightmares combined, just have faith.
We all know that the kids under their facilities are unusual, they think very differently. After watching this movie, Iâve realized that people have different thinking abilities but that does not make them any less human or normal. In fact, that just makes them stand out more. They use their different talents to portray what they feel just like a painter does to an abstract. Theyâre not weirdoes,  they are just certainly gifted to see all the corners of the world. Maybe the problem is not on them, maybe its us. And maybe weâve underestimated them. and maybe⊠just maybe if we lay our faith in them and try to understand them one by one, we might change how the norms of the world works
2. What part of the story told by the movie was the most powerful? Why?
I think the most powerful part of the movie is when Grace is starting to wake up from a deep slumber. It is really hard to talk about something that shapes the way you are now. Itâs like no matter how old you get and how many mountains you have conquered, when you face that nightmare, you are back to a whimpy kid. She has a huge boulder on her shoulders and she is trying to get it off one by one. Can you imagine it? She bared that problem for a decade. All those sleepless nights and nightmares she went through without all of the counselling. That traumatic experience made her anxious about being and wanting to be happy. At the end of the movie, you can totally see the way Graceâs evolved, it was heart-warming.  Itâs great that she can smile again. Her face says something, as if she is telling us that we can always start a new beginning in our lives- apart from the one who lost ourselves once.
3. Who was your favorite character in the movie? Why?
My favorite character in the movie is the protagonistsâ boyfriend; Mason. They say that the character that turns out your best-loved says a lot of things about you. The reason why you hose him is because you relate to him as much as any role would. Just like me, Mason tends to be understanding about the people that involves him. He tries to be patient no matter how hard it is to love and to be in the same bed with someone who donât even trust you. He has a lot of guts and very honest about what he says.  Imagine waiting for someone for three long years? Thatâs a lot of reasons to stay. Often times in the movie he feels betrayed for not letting him handle things but still, he thinks of Grace nothing less as a noble. The disappointing things that Graceâ did? Its like it never even existed in the first place. His love and passion is genuine.I think he is the most bearable and patient person in the movie, no doubt about that.
4. Did anything that happened in the movie reminded you something that has occurred in your own life or that you have seen occur to others?
The moment of impact that happened in the movie that reminds me of myself is when Marcus has a lot of going on his mind right now. He has problems sorting the thoughts in his mind that it started clouding up his words and actions. Remember when he showed Mason the song that he made? I did that too. Not once but so many times that I lost count of the stars in the sky. Whenever I feel down or bothered, I write in my notebook, in a piece of napkin or whatever items I could write to with a pen. Whenever, wherever I feel like it.  Same as Marcus, its my safe haven; the only one I could always vent out to whenever no one can understand me (no one can talk to). We have different way in expressing our feelings, some people like it better when they talk about it with someone, but not us. People like me and Marcus? Weâre different in a good way. We make use of the talents that God gave us to spread our thoughts and philosophies in an artistic way. We like people to encrypt us in the unusual way possible. Because with that, we feel way much safer.
5. If you had a chance to as a character in this movie, what would it be?
To Marcus:
Dear Marcus,
âThe thing about people who have sharp memories is that they REMEMBER EVERYTHING. Black and white; all of itâ      Â
In the act of your soul dying and in the moment of you trying to end it all, what motivated you to be a better person? Is there someone who inspired you or you just took the initiative to kill that little voice inside your head that whispers vulgar things about your past?

LION
Movie review
The movie Lion directed by Garth Davis, is a book adaptation of â A Long Way Home by he himself(the REAL) Saroo Brierly and is release on the year 2016. In the year 1986, there was a five âyear old boy named Saroo who lived with his brother Guddu, mother and sister. Unfortunate as they can be, they are peasants and they live in a small house in a shady town. Their single mother whose only job is to pick rocks cannot sustain their everyday needs thus Guddu and his brother sometimes board the trains illegally and steal as many coals as they can so they can exchange it for some milk. One day when their mother is away, Guddu; Sarooâs brother sneak away to find some money and Saroo insisted to come. When theyâve arrived at the station where Gudduâs workplace is near, Saroo took a nap. When Guddu doent return, Saroo started to find him and ends up in a train where he accidentally slept due to tiredness and thus the long journey of Saroo began.
The climax of the movie is quite the struggle. The movie is too great that you can solely feel the emotions the actors are omitting, itâs a war between reality and nightmares.  It is really hard to adapt a book but I think they did great. They showed the cultures and all the raw materials of India that makes it aesthetic even though theyâre standing in a pile of garbage. The cinematography is too great specially the changing of mood and tones of the video that it takes away from the over all plot. If I can give this movie a score, itâll be 9/10.
1. What life lessons can be learned from the movie?
I personally think that this movie is better than âwonderâ for it really solve a certain problem of a country. I realized that what Sue said is correct, that thereâs enough people in the world so letâs just adopt and give the children a second chance to live their lives to the fullest. I also learned that no matter how hard you conceal those feelings of yours and how much you shut your eyes about reality, you cant escape from it. The only way  is to wrapped your fingers around it and face it head on.  This gutsy feelings we have serves as road signs that points our way home. But remember that home is not just a place, it is also a feeling. And as humans, itâs just natural that we are longing for this feeling and place.
2. What part of the story told by the movie was the most powerful? Why?
The part of the story that is very powerful is when Sheru and Sue had a little genuine conversation. Sheru is begging for forgiveness about how Sue cant have kids and that they(Sheru and Mantosh) are just spoiling Sueâs life by being a heavy burden and what came next shocked me the most. I also thought that she adopted the both of them because she cant bear any child but she just want to help other people. She wants to give the less fortunate people a second chance in life and sometimes thatâs all we need. We all have greatness inside of us, unfortunately a few can only showcase themselves and their talents.
3. Who was your favorite character in the movie? Why?
Cliche as it may be, I guess my favorite character in the movie is the protagonist;Saroo. Since he was a child lingering in the unknown streets of India , not once that he cried because he misses home. He is just melancholic because of the guilt he feels when she thinks about her mom and his brother;Gaddu finding him every inch of their lives. I really like this character because despite all of his internal conflicts; the nightmares he have every night and all of the memories that came flashing to him at once, he never took out his frustrations to the people that surrounds him nor that he vocally said his confusion. But personally the great feature that this character has is his flaws and how he accepted his this as a part of him and how he converted this as a source of motivation to seek his goal
4. Did anything that happened in the movie reminded you something that has occurred in your own life or that you have seen occur to others??
I guess I relate to Sheru because we weâre both homeless, only that itâs just spiritually. Sometimes its just too hard to wake up and stand up when there are too many voices in your head, spewing too many ideas. What is lonelier than having your home taken from you is the idea that you can never retrieve it again. The moments when he was lost in thoughts in the cross-roads, I felt it all. But I also felt the exact feeling Saroo felt when he found his way back home again. Itâs like riding a roller coaster even though the amusement park was already closed. I felt the thrill of it all and how the best feeling in the world is knowing where you belong
5. If you had a chane to as a character in this movie, what would it be?
This question is addressed to Gaddu, if you can have a second chance to meet your long lost brother, what would you say?
