Fun Summer Activities!™ I did today:

Stood in the 85° weather for nearly an hour because my boss decided to take two of my coworkers to go get something done 2 minutes before we were meant to rotate out (I'm a lifeguard, we have 20 min rotations normally)

Spent like 10 minutes draining a kiddie pool because the management at my pool decided we needed More Pools for some reason and made it our problem

Watched The Martian (2015) and pointed out every single inaccurate detail (it is a fictional movie set in the future, about something that won't be happening for at least another 50 years at this rate)

Watched Apollo 13 (1995) because i was in the mood for a real space movie, cried all the way through, and then continued to cry for another few minutes after the movie ended because we abandoned the moon. We abandoned our sister and we keep saying we're going to visit her again just next week we promise but next week becomes the week after next and then the week after that and we still haven't visited her. Our only sister, Earth's eldest child who we used to look up to, but as soon as we got old enough to drive over to her house we decided she wasn't actually very cool after all. Does she miss us? Has she been waiting for us to come back? When she eclipses the sun is she trying to get our attention? Does she even know we're trying to get back to her? We're trying so so so hard but its just not the right time yet and money is tight and we can't afford gas or car payments. And mom is sick and her fever is getting worse, everything is getting worse, and maybe we'll never go to our sister's house again. Maybe we've abandoned the moon forever and no one else will ever see her up close again, no one else will ever walk on her surface and see the Earth peaking out behind her. Maybe humanity is doomed

I think the craziest thing that happened in hannibal nbc has to be hannibal's schedule because my man was out there murdering people, eating them all while going unnoticed, working full time as a psychiatrist, playing several instruments + composing music, working with the FBI to lead them away from him, flirt with the guy trying to catch him, have random hookups, cook michelin star worthy meals, host dinner parties, go to the opera, frame the guy he fell in love with for his own crimes, go to therapy (more like yap about his crush to bedelia), spend several hours a week at the swimming pool, spend hours on tattlecrime reading about himself and that's not even all of it je lui tire mon chapeau like we say in french oh yes right he also speaks multiple languages!
