“Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce the Selfish Machine…”

(Below the cut is some introductory information… it’s a bit long)

Welcome to the Selfish Machine, a bodily 20 OSDD-1b system. Our system name is taken from our favorite album of all time, Selfish Machines by Pierce The Veil. You can refer to us as this, but we prefer the collective name “Vinyl” or just “Nyl”. We use it/its or he/him pronouns, and collectively ID as transmasc and agender, more specifically a “bxy”.

We all share a memory (no amnesia between switches) and generally act as a single unit, hence the name. We will tag who posts what when it’s clear to us, but treating us as a single entity outside of conversations is perfectly acceptable. Despite this, we are still plural regardless of how unified we may appear.

This blog is mainly meant for us, and only for us, but we are keeping it public for now in the hopes of finding some friends. We only tag our posts for our own organizational purposes. You can learn about some of our more frequent users of this blog in our #intro tag.

Our desktop theme is still under construction as we’ve only edited our blog on mobile.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE

Non-traumagenic and/or "mixed origin" systems, and tulpamancers: this is not a space for you. We like to keep syscourse out of our blog, but this makes us very uncomfortable. We will never attack or wish ill on anyone who identifies this way, and we do not consider ourselves “sysmed" for many reasons--but please keep this in mind when interacting with us, if at all.

Anyone under the "proship" umbrella: including anti-antis, procom, "rainbow-meats", etc… we just want to outright state that we don’t support you at all and we really don’t want you here. We don’t have a DNI, but we feel our stance on this is too important not to mention.

We have BPD, ADHD, and Autism. This makes communication--especially online--difficult for us at times. We love tone indicators and use them often, and we ask that you use them for us, too. Please keep these things in mind when interacting with us.

Our introjects may talk openly about their sources/source memories on occasion. We ask for basic respect; please do not treat us like we are blorbos from your shows (/lh). We are not “kin” with our sources, although some of us have synpaths/coping-links just for fun. We are also mostly non-human, again unrelated to kin.
