“Are you planning to rap on stage?” It was worth asking, after all Yamada had mentioned his world being very preoccupied by the concept of rap. She hoped to eventually get on stage as well, although her band still had a few things to figure out first. “I don’t know how well that will work, what if someone complains about your bad lyrics or flow? If I were you I would try to find a partner to freestyle with.” Was that the word? She couldn’t recall… 

“Nah, I don’t think so.” An answer was given, but you can see the tinge of slight regret that accompanied his words. “This kind of event seems to be a bit too melancholic for a rap and besides, I don’t think my nii-chan is in the mood for that---yet.” There’s always a next time for some freestyle friendly rap battle. Perhaps one of those dudes from Matenrou, Mad Trigger Crew or Fling Posse would cooperate... though he sorta doubts it, for now.

“I’d say I’m more interested to listen to your band, though. How are you going to perform, Kyouka-chan?”

         SHE REMEMBERS THIS MELODY ! Too well she recalls it. Crystalline in nature as if she had never stopped hearing the song for an instant. Before she can even stop herself she begins, ❛ Am I a flower, a butterfly, a demon ? ❜ Softly she sings, the lyrics leaving her in a sweet exhale. ❛ In this body, does that really exist… ❜ Then she feels the prickle of eyes settling upon her.

         ❛ Ah, sorry I just got a little carried away I guess… ❜ Gazing up she feels a vague pang of recognition once she turns to face the other boy fully. ❛ Wait, do I know you ? Oh, no that guy only looked similar to you        ❜ Soon after she is shaking her head in order to dispel her mild bout of foolishness. 

What a pretty voice! “Ah, sorry, my bad---I didn’t mean to... overhear.” Or so, he thinks. Being noticed by a cute girl, however, is something he frankly didn’t expect this time, especially a cute girl he ne Hearing upon a certain similarity she brought up however, piques his attention immediately. “That guy------you mean my brother? Well, it’s fine, we get mistaken as one another sometimes, after all.” Ichiro? Saburo? Whoever it is, it’s completely natural for strangers to mistake them for one and another ( though he often feels that he’s the odd one out at times ).

“...” Now he’s at lost of words. What should he say next? What should he bring up next as a plausible topic? Hm---------

“...But those lyrics you sang earlier, does it hold any special meaning?”

“Oh, it’s you again.” The weird dude who accused him of playing dirty! He’s always wondering why they seem to can’t get along, but it’s apparently clear that this young man of his age reminds him of a certain person he knows very well---his own equally eccentric and blunt little brother. 

It’s rather odd occasion for them to meet during a rather solemn festivity like this... but he’ll try to play nice, as for now. “...Are ya into this kind of stuff?” He is referring to the folk music performance currently ongoing, right there. “Guess I don’t find it weird if you do.”

Festival of celebrating the dead, it doesn’t feel too unfamiliar for them. Bon festival has probably passed in where they are from and it felt like it hasn’t been so long since they last visited their parents’ graveyard... and this place is obviously not Tokyo. They would have nowhere to visit now and yet--in the mood of the wistful occasion, the eldest just somehow had to bring that up.

“Nii-chan... Can we do that right here now?” his hesitation was expressed as clear as it is, “I mean, this isn’t Tokyo---their resting places aren’t supposed to be here... right?”

“Hey, now wait a sec! I think you’re the one who’s quickly jumping to conclusions here! I have no intention of pickin’ a fight with you again.” Yes, he knows all the consequences and whatnot after learning he was picking a fight with an actual soldier, not just some mere cosplayer. But in here, forget about the animosity---when their leaders said it does not matter anymore, for now.

      Oh to be young. In the short amount of times he has spent with the middle Yamada, at least 3 girls have talked to him. “You’re popular, aren’t you, Yamada-san? My high school life was hardly like that.”

What is exactly up with this dude? He looks so gloomy and the way he speaks... it’s sort of grating. He’s not sure why, but from his words earlier, he caught some sort of a hint of jealousy. He could be wrong, though, as he sort of interpreted it as a weird kind of compliment.

“W-what’s the matter with that? It’s not like it’s a bad thing for being popular with girls.” Being a delinquent in where he came from back then, it’s not easy to get a gal’s attention. “Doppo-senpai, are you in need of some tips to get girls or somethin’?”
