Discover The Best Keyword – Finding the best keyword to use is now easier than ever through Googles Keyword Planner. This is a free tool that will show you an estimate for any search phrase.

Always Research Competition – With the use of Google Chromes ‘Incognito’ search for your key word or key phrase. Take a look at what content is ranking highly. What can you do better than your competitors?

Writing The Best Content – When writing up fresh content make sure your page is relevant, very linkable and shareable. No matter what piece of content you are writing it needs to be better than the rest to rank highly.

Include Keyword In Your Page Title – Its as simple as that! Google wants to see the keyword or phrase in every page title. The title of your page should also be intresting in order for it to attract users attention.

Optimise Everything – Everything needs to be optimised. Hence the name search engine optimisation. Always optimise headings and subheadings

Alt Attributes – Google enjoys images. As Google cannot visually see the image alt attributes are added to allow Google to understand why the image is there and what it is.

Include Keyword in URL – With SEO its the little things that count. Ensure that the word or phrase you want to rank for is included in the URL. This gives Google that little bit more of extra understanding.

Internal Linking – Link from page to page in your posts. You want people to see your best content, right?

External Links – Anyone can brag about their own business. If you can get others to do so about your business and link back to you then bingo! Google ranks external links highly and in my eyes will always do so.

Meta Descriptions – Make sure that meta descriptions are always filled in with useful information. Include your keyword or phrase here.
