Getting back into working on that Chu-bilis OC I was making a few years ago.

Still kind of scared I don't quite grok the tone and setting, but I still want to put in an effort, to explore and bask in it and gnaw on interesting ideas until I can find something I've been seeking out and can't quite name.

Which honestly, feels like something I should be channeling into a Warmain?

Werewolf who desperately doesn't want to change back. Werewolf who clings to his monstrous shape for as long as he possibly can, resisting as he feels himself turning back at dawn. Werewolf who weeps when his claws shrink back into fingers and he loses his fangs and fur. Werewolf who holes up in bed, miserable and meticulously watching the moon cycle each month until he can transform again.

This is a combination of the work I've done for Skin Deep sphinxes as well as its own thing set in a world where mythical creatures are known but still largely a mystery to science. I leaned hard into the Zoobooks aesthetic for this, one of my favorite parts of those magazines were the anatomy drawings so I wanted to do one just like it!

Not a monster that won't die, but a monster that doesn't stop pursuing you even while dead.

Sure, you killed it.

But it regenerated.

You killed it eleven more times and destroyed every part of its body.

But that halo that's been floating behind its head up until now is still fighting without a body attached.

Killed the halo seven times?

While dead, without a single cell to regenerate from, it performed a summoning ritual to spawn an avatar of itself.

And when that avatar falls, another is summoned.

You can fight back, but for how long?
