This is your night tonight
Everything's gonna be alright.
I missed out on drawing something for Valentine's day but! today is my birthday, so here's something party-themed that took way too long to finish because I draw with the speed of ...snail. ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧

I’m trying to create a male OC, someone worthy of at least flirting with some of @meowlayn-art ’s gorgeous creatures. I found a nice reference and then started to change some things, eyes, mouth, jaw and so on. Only to realize that I turned him into Sokka...
Might as well just go with it..
Ok, starting over...

So I haven't posted in a while. With the tablet there is so much to learn. The more I use it, the more I realise that I know absolutely nothing! But I can't learn without practice. So I decided to just dive in. I really should've started with basic forms, simple motifs. But I've never hade the patience for slow and steady.. so started sketching up all the different ideas I have and just go with the one that sparked most joy. I'm using clip studio paint , and not only do I have to learn the basic functions of the software, I'm starting with rudimental knowledge of colouring, shading and highlights as well. But i just have to accept that my pieces won't be perfect, I'm learning as I go along. Lots of mistakes, but I'm actually enjoying doing mistakes, and then figure out how to make it better.

This was suppose to be a comic. I doubt i will finish the other panels, but i think this works solo as well.

I need to save this for future reference 😊
Hi! About the CSP brushes, I probably won’t purchase CSP right now but i still wanted to know what brushes you use if I ever do purchase CSP, thank you!!💖
Hi Anon !
Thank you for your patience :D Here are the Clip Studio Paint brushes I use and how I use them. They are all default brushes, and except for my lineart brush that I tweaked a little, I didn’t change the settings :)
I hope you’ll find it useful when/if you use CSP one day ! It is a small investment (but you could wait for seasonal sales, they often do 50% off) but it’s honestly an amazing tool so if you ever decide to purchase it I think you won’t regret it :)

So my first digital piece of art ever. Background and Lucifer belong to Solmare. MC is mine. It's set after lesson 34, but not really a spoiler. I kind of like my MC. Never really pictured her, but this is what came out.

So I finally decided to invest in a tablet. My daughter is also very interested in painting and drawing so we desided to gift it to ourselves. After reading a lot of reviews and helpful tips from artist here on tumbler, I decided to go with a Wacom cintiq 16. It was delivered the next day and I absolutely love it. I have a lot to learn about the different softwares available. I started with Sketchbook since it's free. I also have a trial version of clip studio paint, but I haven't gotten into it yet.

This is an old church ruin next to my parents house, where I grew up. Archaeologists believes there has been a church on this hill since late 12th century, based on grave findings. It has been rebuilt and expanded many times. In 1587 the church had it's last and greatest remodeling made by the noble lady Görvel Fadersdotter Sparre, who resided in the adjacent castle, Börringe kloster. She was an exceptional woman. She had inherited over 200 estates from her parents, she married Peder Nilsson Grip, royal adviser to the king of Sweden Gustav Vasa. She was married tree times, and had no surviving children. She was a landowner in her own right and was personally involved in the running of all her estates. At the end of her life they exceeded 600. She was known to be smart and educated, with a keen interest i architecture. Apart from this church, she made the plans for Torup Castle
Source: Wikipedia
She also made the plans for "Stäket" in Lund, which to this day is also known as " Lady Görvel's house". Only a small part of th original bilding is left.

There is so many interesting things about this lady. If anyone would like to know more about her, there is an article in English on Wikipedia.
This post really took me on a ride. I was just going to google when the church was originally built. I did not know most of this stuff beforehand. But I do like history, and this is so close, I've lived most of my life next to the ruins and the castle.
I'm also pleased with how the painting turned out 😊

I tried some exaggerated galaxy/night skies. Mostly because they look beautiful when done right, although not an accurate representation of space 😉. They didn't turn out the way I wanted them to, but they were really fun to make. Since I paint solely for my own pleasure, I think I'm going to make more of these, even if they are cheesy looking.
