The Harry Potter fandom might be one of the few ones in which you actually have to argue with people that “pantsing” someone — that is to say, incapacitating a minor and stripping off his clothing with the intent to sexually humiliate him and reveal his genitalia to 200+ other minors — is, in fact, sexual assault.

(And yes, his underwear was removed. That’s why Harry was dragged out of the pensieve at that exact moment. But even if it weren’t, the whole situation would still be sexual assault.)

I always enjoy writing and exploring Snapes self hatred because he is very unique in the way he harms everyone around him and blames them (to an extent) for his continued unhappiness but also denys himself any opportunity to become a better person because he views himself undeserving of change and forgiveness.

Its such a fun flavour of cruelty, to have such vicious self hatred that he needs to make everyone hate him in return
