I am a 19 year old male, and my heritage is mostly italian. I am originally from Montana but now I live in Florida. I like to work on cars, do creative work, and use my hands for work instead of working at a desk. I work at a window installation company. I enjoy doing crazy things with my friends and making life memories.

Virtual Sketchbook #2
#1 Principles of design:
Unity and Variety - Unity is elements that flow and complement each other. Variety is the opposing elements that add contrast.
Balance - Balance is the "weight" of the art and how it is balanced throughout it, whether there is the same amount to look at all over the art, or there is more to look at on one side and not the other.
Emphasis and Subordination - this is the parts of the art that the artist brings attention to or away from
Directional Forces - this is the pattern in the art that the viewers eyes follow.
Repetition and Rhythm - repetition is the same idea or depiction in art that keep occurring, and rhythm is the use of repetition to create patterns that make the art flow.
Scale and Proportion - the size of art or the parts of the art that relate to its surroundings that can change the meaning of the piece.
#2 A way that color has affected me is whenever I see the sunsets. I enjoy seeing the gradients of oranges to pinks and yellows. The colors can vary from being intense and bright, to soft and subtle. Everything seems to become bright and beautiful in life for the short time that I get to see the sunset. If I could pick a color scheme for my life, I would want dull colors for everything, but I would want vibrant skies.
#3 (separate post)
#4 This design is great because it provides all of the necessary knowledge for the services being advertised. It immediately catches the viewers attention in what is being advertised and includes how to get into contact with the services. The minimal design also contributes to the main points of the poster.
The designs intention is very straight forward, because it is only advertising for the services and not giving excess information. It doesn't force too much to read for the viewer, allowing them to see what they want. The only intent of this design to to sell the services.
This design fulfills its purpose because it is effective in getting its message out there. It isn't too wordy or cluttered. The design completes its purpose by showing what the viewers want to see.
Bad design layout:
The design is not good because there is too much happening in such a small space. There is too many colors and pictures to look at all at once. This all overwhelms the viewer. Also, the pictures and information is not neatly organized, showing that there is no reason to the layout.
The designs intention is to sell to the customers, but it does not accomplish this due to the unorganized style. The buyers cannot focus on one thing at a time. Their attention is drawn all over the poster not allowing them to gain the information from everything.
The design cannot fulfill its purpose because the viewers will most likely not gain the necessary information to purchase the services. The poster may have all the information, but it was not organized the right way to bring attention to it.

This is a photo that hangs in my room of flathead lake. I personally love this photo because I enjoy very minimal art that isn't very cluttered. I think it's very beautiful because I enjoy the outdoors and I also am originally from Montana where this was taken. I used a drone to capture this shot and it means more to me knowing that I was able to do this myself.
