As much as i love tumblr....it's a nightmare to try and promote my work here. Because everyone's feeds move/work so damn fast that the chances of anyone seeing what i post is abysmal.

Which is the story everywhere to be honest.

I'm not posting as much as I used to (everything that ain't my work is in queue) and currently in the middle of a creative slump/paralysis, hence the reblogs sometimes, which i apologise to those individuals who find the repetition annoying.

It's a bit of a hit to morale that PoR has been stricken with delays all through it's print run.

And despite Ask For Mercy being out for some time now...I wonder if anyone is reading it.

It's great when you have a name and a following, folks are constantly talking and recommending but when you are still a relatively small name despite being doing this comicbook stuff for 8-9 years.

*Sighs*

It's petty shit, I should just keep on going. But when you run out of ideas and struggle to come up with new ones...

The panic and dispair is quite real.

Life got the better of me again and it's been forever since I've done more than doodle in the margins of meeting notes. But I've also come to the realisation that the art I like best is about stories, big or small. And I just want to tell the ones in my head, with the tool I feel is best.

This sketch is the result into going down the rabbit hole of (mostly) psychopomp and alchemy. Read the story as you want, I'm still working on the words.

Finding time to art is hard, but I have the beginning of a drawing in my sketchbook. I also have 4 miniature terrarium. And I got a crochet kit to make little plants that don't die. And two demanding dogs that I just love to bits. Just too many things I want to do and not enough time.

If I'm going to make one resolution for 2025 is to start making time for art again. But in a more directed manner, I've been looking through my art log the past year and I have some stuff I like more than the rest, some that's more fun. So I'll focus on those. I think it's about time I figure out and develop a style rather than explore aimlessly. Media tbd though 😝

Been going through old sketchbook and finding back my art voice. I get distracted too easily by new prospects

A different way to be creative 😄 the long one is about a month old and the other one is a few hours old.

I used repotting substrate I had lying around. Moss and wood I found on walks, jars from food. Bought the tiny house.

Phase one and two complete now for things to dry so I can decide on the embellishments extra design. Trying a more dynamic approach to pour/fluid painting.

Got gifted a resin kit a while ago. Finally went ahead with using it, now I have to be patient, it's difficult I really really want to see the final result
