Why yes, we walk our kittens on leashes. 😄😻😻 I just want to take a moment here to thank my children for walking this creative road with me. My boys take photos, ask questions about pattern construction, and sit in front of the machine making their own 3D art. My eldest is super interested in accounting, and is learning how to do most Quickbooks tasks. He also wants to handle customer service emails once he becomes more confident in his spelling. Yesterday, as I released the #hinterlanddress and sewed, he ran a Brother Summer Camp for my youngest, doing puzzles, hopscotch, magnatiles, and four square. ✨ My three homeschooled kids see me both working hard and playing hard. They see me viewing creativity as a pleasure and a challenge. Despite the fact that I don't have unlimited time to play and attend to their needs, they know they always come first ... and they know their mama's income pays for "all the fun things," plus that used car we needed. ✨ I'm not sure what they'll think of all this looking back as adults, but I'm hoping they'll recall the family business with fondness. More than anything, I hope they will realize how much I adore them. ✨😍 Thank you for supporting my family!

On this regular ol' Monday morning, I am filled up with energy from my recent time in the Colorado Rockies. The flowers, the views, the thin air. Here, back in Normal Land, I breathe deeply, look into my children's eyes, clean the kitchen (over and over) and sew and knit one seam/row at a time. I bring in flowers for the table. I eat salads from my garden and chat with neighbors. I do laundry and remind my kids to speak kindly to each other. I make space in my calendar for big adventures and small wonders. 🌲✨🦋 Wearing: #arenitepants
