When you’re weary - feeling down
When it rains it pours. I’m definitely down on my luck lately. I was seriously in love with a guy that dumped me by ghosting me which hurt like hell. He gave no indication of anything. One day he was hot as hell for me - and the next thing I know he stands me up and just sort of disappears - not answering my messages. When I tried to talk to him he said he thought it would be better that way. I was pretty stung and felt humiliated that I had to reach out to HIM to find that out but whatever. He didn’t want me anymore - and I suppose he spared me the weirdness of being a person like that. It still hurt a lot - I thought he was a different person - and I was wrong. When I think of him I still want to crawl in a corner and hide and lick my wounds. But part of me is also like “meh what a jerk” - it’s an odd dichotomy. Then I found out I had a medical issue and I have to deal with that - not something I care to discuss online. But that was a huge bummer. I have a lot going for me though - I have to count blessings. I’m beautiful, smart and ambitious. I’m really loving and kind. I have lots of interests and I’m fun too. I have a lot of stuff I’m into. It’s nice because my friends who are home buyers also got me into the business so I’m learning a lot about it. They are at http://www.fastsocalhomebuyer.com and they are really cool people. I think as long as you have passion for life that is a good thing. Even if it gets you down down down sometimes. Getting your heart broken sucks but I think karma will come back in a good way someday soon.

Using the 80/20 Rule to Your Web content Creation and also Promo
StrategiesWhen you produce content, exactly how long do you invest (on standard) developing it, as well as how much time do you invest advertising it? 40% production and also 60% promo?
Just how around 20% creation, and 80% promotion? Sound farfetched?
Well, this is the guideline that Derek Halpern of Social Triggers lives by.
According to Derek:
The secret to constructing a blog site with a going crazy fan base that s ready to acquire exactly what you sell has nothing to do with how much web content you create. It, rather, concerns just how great you are obtaining you go to getting your material right into the hands of even more individuals.
The reasoning behind Derek s rule is that it can be actually challenging for bloggers and services, specifically those that are brand-new to the video game, to locate a target market for their material. This implies that they need to work added hard; not necessarily at producing that content, but at getting individuals to eat and share it.
Tumblr media
Seems about right to me. Some people appear to believe that if they create web content, the viewers will come crowding to their website, share their material, most likely buy something, and hello, presto that material s been a success.
Regrettably, you most likely currently understand that simply doesn t work in the real world. Material without the advertising and marketing is not content advertising and marketing it s just material. And also unless you currently have a large, dedicated, and also active audience, creating web content without marketing is really, extremely unlikely to get you the outcomes you want.
In 2013, Laura Roeder of LKR Social network composed:.
I had been operating under the assumption that consistently upgrading my organisation s material (webinars, cheatsheets, article, you call it) was the essential to driving whole lots as well as lots of great traffic to my site. Think regarding it: exactly how am I going to increase my numbers if no one in fact understands there s new and intriguing web content to be taken in?
So my group and also I determined to follow Derek s advice and shift the emphasis to advertising our web content greater than in fact producing it. Still skeptical? The traffic to my blog has in fact increased, although we ve obtained fewer brand-new posts that go real-time weekly!.
Basically: this functions.
Nevertheless, not everyone is quite so aboard with Derek s ideological background as me (as well as Laura).
Tumblr media
Getting Debatable. 2 years ago Mark Schaefer of Company Grow wrote Pimping your posts as well as the myth of the 80/20 policy.
Of the 80/20 rule Mark states, this is a tweetable little sound bite that s easy to keep in mind and also pass along. But it is so whacked-out that I just have to say something concerning it in instance anybody out there is beginning to believe it.
Uh-oh. Has Derek been misleading us all along?
