Humans are Flawed

Humans are flawed. They are greedy, narcissistic creatures that only ever act for their own gain.

Positive emotions are nothing but a drug, a villainous substance that our insatiable minds can't get enough of, they crave it, wanting it more and more, until they snap. They give in to the urge and will do anything to feel that way again, even if we have to resort to selfish means to get that sweet, sweet, high of happiness.

In the grand scheme of things, emotions are worthless. Nobody cares whether you laugh, or you cry. No, they only care about whether or not they're the one crying. Nobody is going to bother you unless you have something they want. Even something as simple and pure as friendship. They will give you attention, acting the innocent role of a friend, feeding until their hunger has been quenched, hoping that you'll stick around long enough for them to feed their fill. They are leaching of your attention, praying that your companionship will fill the empty space they call their heart.

There are so many people living on this exploited hunk of rock we call our planet. So many people with their own lives, their own problems, their own accomplishments, their own failures. 

So why should they listen to you?

They shouldn't. Or, rather, they won't.

People hurt others to feel happy. People kill others to feel happy, forge friendships to feel happy. In this world, you can't rely on anyone. Trust the wrong person, and they'll come and stab you in the back, whether that be figuratively or literally. People will only provide you aid if they feel they might gain something in return. Humans are selfish creatures, only ever thinking about themselves. So once again, I will say it. Humans are flawed.
